My intent : Asgardians switch off the lights once a year and have a look at the stars
From the invention of electricity mankind braught the lights to earth and has to pay a high price for that: namely not to be able any more to observe the starry sky. Therefore I suggest that all Asgardians should switch off their lights regulary at the same time, the first Sunday in November from 10`00 - 10`30 p.m., every year. With this measure it could be possible to see more of the beauty of our night sky. As a side effect I believe that Asgardians would set a good example in order to reduce the consumption of electricity.

Beautiful idea. It could be an Asgardian holiday. Switching lights off in my house wouldn't help much because I'm in the centre of a light pollution zone, but it might be an excuse to travel to a local night sky preserve and raise the public appetite for night time ...

Very nice idea! And since we all live in different time zones, this event would travel around the world. If it was from 10 pm to 11 pm, an hour instead of 30 min, there would always be a place with it's lights out. But I can see how ...

Well I think this is a great idea more as an statement that the Asgardian population is really concerning about the preservation of our first planet. The best way to convince other people is giving them the example. I would like two propose two things to make it a real sacrifice and a gift for the planet.
One: to be one day at the year without lights.
Two: to be one hour on the first day of every month.

However, we could also add this day to the Asgardian Birth celebration. I had considered Year Day, as well, but it's best to see the stars outside, and Year Day falls in the middle of Winter. Any thoughts?
I like the idea on the condition that it does not risk anyone's safety. His (sky) study could be in our training.
