I honestly don’t really understand how digital currency works. Would this be like bitcoin?  A lot of thought, time, and hard work would go into making that workable with a system of checks and balances to avoid corruption.

I remember way back in the day ( 1998 to 2000) when bitcoin was first introduced. I had the oppurtunity to see how it worked. Basically it took real money from your bank account and went through paypal ( which was new) you bought virtual money that could be spent worldwide. Back then it was like dollar for dollar. I had 500. Im not sure what i did with that but boy, I would be sitting pretty. I was in on a lot of things back then. I was  Mission Director for an Ambassdors non profit. Superkids Foundation. We helped set up businesses for people. Well look at it now. I was blown seeing the news about bitcoin in the news now. In fact we also were considering doing the same thing as Asgardia and putting a small satellite up into space. They had absolutely no connection with Asgardia (what you see now).  I look at the series of unfortunate circumstances that lead to me leaving all of that and am now thinking that its not too late to do something that i believe in. I saw it way back then (20 years ago) and its now a reality. Things turned out exactly like predicted. I'd like to get in on building this one. I heard somewhere bitcoin was only 10 years old. Thats bs its 2x that old. It wasnt easy either to get there. There were tons of legal battles and frustration. Accusations of fraud and other things but it wasnt. And now look. I could be a millionaire. Unfortunately im not.( its a long story) I dont want to miss that oppurtunity again.

I have very little idea of how cryptocurrency works. I'm used to a value based economy,( gold, silver) ,  The rise of Bitcoin has been interesting, some people have made a lot of  profit on it. There is also a lot of  controversy about fraud and theft.  Better minds than mine are going to have to figure this out. If it can benefit Asgardia I'm all for it. So I'll vote for it, and hope you all know what your doing.

I believe we should start by accepting donations in cryptocurrencies. I have just submitted a petition in this sens. You have a GREAT vision! Although, I would suggest to brake down your idea in different propositions. I support fully the "Creation of a National Bank Crypto coin wallet" to recieve donations in cryptocurrencies. Not yet the purchase of supercomputers.

Creation of a national crypto currency is simply necessary in the conditions of rapidly developing technological progress. It will make it possible to earn those Asgardians who live in remote areas of the world, will open new borders in economic activity, and will also give impetus to the global transformation of society. Such innovations will give impetus to changes in the social and economic order, which will be reflected, including on the way of life of citizens.

Thank you so much for your comments, indeed this is a very necessary asset to our nation, If possible (and elected) I will bring this to the parliament again even if I fail to get the 1000th signatures. So far the comments I have read are very constructive, which, in my opinion (sane discussion) is the base of all of the ideas! We need to have an infrastructure indeed, but with the capability of building up our own supercomputers along with self-sustained energy generation we would achieve a huge milestone and a major step towards "economic independence", it's a bit of an investment, but along with 100% biological farms (which is another idea that is indirectly connected to the economical status of Asgardia), we would be in the front-lines of renewable energies and self-sustainability. This would be an example to the world and also a major step to Asgardia.
