Real money came about because it represented a better way to conduct a bartering economy. Before FIAT money, jt was based on gold or silver. Even Rome deliberately debased the coins that were used in their economy. In the United State, you could return gold and silver " dollars " until the 1960s. After that, people trusted a government to keep the dollar. our barter economy is more of a service economy. To get something done, you used dollars to get a service done ( this also applies to politicians too! ). So how do people get paid in a service economy? By being better at what you do and being able to get people willing to pay to get a job finished properly! Unfortunately, the USofA contains many parasites that destroy this service economy.
