Hello friends, would you like that our future leaders, commit to an ethical code of conduct?

I have been volunteer of NU-ACNUR and I have taken as reference its CODE OF CONDUCT to write this proposal in ENGLISH and SPANISH (I regret the mistakes of English, I am not totally bilingual)

I think it is very important that the limits of the public personnel of our nation be clear from the beginning ... And I say this as a candidate for the Government of Asgardia for District # 4 Spanish :-D

COMMITMENT TO THE CODE OF CONDUCT OF THE ASGARDIAN Nation

As a member of the PARLIAMENT or the GOVERNMENT of the Nation of ASGARDIA, I promise :

1. Sustain the integrity of ASGARDIA by ensuring that my personal and professional conduct is and is seen as a behavior of the best standard. I will demonstrate integrity, truthfulness, dedication and honesty in my actions. I will be patient, respectful and courteous with all the people with whom I relate in my official capacity, the representatives of the operational and implementation interlocutors, the governments and the donors. I will observe the local laws, I will comply with all my legal and financial obligations and I will not try to take advantage, in the personal scope, of the privileges or immunities that have been granted to me in the interest of the Nation of ASGARDIA. I will do my best to ensure that the conduct of the members of my immediate environment does not reflect, in an unfavorable way, the integrity of the Nation of ASGARDIA.

2. Perform my official duties and manage my private affairs in such a way as to avoid conflicts of interest, preserving and accentuating the confidence of Asgardians and non-Asgardians in the Nation of ASGARDIA.

3. My actions will be free of any consideration of personal gain. I will resist any undue political pressure. I will not seek or accept instructions on how to perform my duties by any government, the authorities of my nation or authorities external to those of the Head of the Nation, the Supreme Council of Space and / or the President of Parliament. In accordance with the Constitution of the Nation of ASGARDIA, I will not accept from any government any honor, decoration, gift of favor, remuneration; , I will not accept them from another external source to the sovereign organs of the Nation of ASGARDIA without prior authorization. I will not engage in any external occupation or employment without prior authorization. I will not accept additional payments or subsidies from a government or any other source or participate in certain political activities such as standing as a candidate for a public office or occupying the same during my elected activity in the ASGARDIA Nation. I will avoid attending preferentially to individuals or private companies in their dealings with the Nation of ASGARDIA whenever this may lead to real or perceived preferential treatment as such. I will never participate in activities related to the acquisition of goods and services or in human resources activities in which a conflict of interest may arise.

4. I will contribute to the construction of a harmonious work place based on team spirit, mutual respect and understanding. I will show respect for all colleagues, regardless of their status or position, and I will give all colleagues the opportunity to make their points of view heard and contribute to the team's efforts, based on their experiences and knowledge. I will openly communicate and share the relevant information (subject to confidentiality) with other colleagues and will do my best to respond to inquiries promptly. I will respect the privacy of my colleagues and avoid the wrong information. I will seek to resolve the differences and solve the problems when they arise. I will contribute to establish a constructive dialogue, guided by mutual respect and by an open and positive approach between management and staff representatives. As responsible for any area or project, I will be open to the opinions of all team members. I will provide timely feedback on the performance of each team member through guidance, motivation and full recognition of their achievements.

5. Safeguard and make responsible use of the information and resources to which I have access, as a result of my occupation in the Nation of ASGARDIA. I will exercise due care in all matters of an official nature and will not disclose any confidential information about matters that concern me, colleagues and other issues related to the work. I will protect, administer and use the human, financial and material resources of the Nation of ASGARDIA in an efficient and effective way, taking into account that those resources have been made available to the Nation of ASGARDIA for the benefit of the citizens and the interests of the Nation of ASGARDIA.

6. I will prevent, counteract and fight any corruption, as well as committing myself not to abuse the power and influence that I have, by virtue of my position.

7. Refrain from any type of harassment, discrimination, verbal or physical abuse, intimidation or favoritism in the workplace. I will not engage in or tolerate any form of harassment in the workplace, including sexual harassment and abuse of power. As a manager / supervisor, I will not ask favors, loans or gifts to staff members or accept from them those who represent something else.

COMPROMISO CON EL CÓDIGO DE CONDUCTA DE la Nación de ASGARDIA

Como miembro del PARLAMENTO o el GOBIERNO de la Nación de ASGARDIA, me comprometo a:

1. Sostener la integridad de ASGARDIA asegurando que mi conducta personal y profesional es y sea vista como una conducta del mejor estándar. Demostraré integridad, veracidad, dedicación y honestidad en mis acciones. Seré paciente, respetuoso y cortés con todas las personas con las que me relaciono en mi capacidad oficial, los representantes de los interlocutores operacionales y de implementación, de los gobiernos y de los donantes si los hubiere. Observaré las leyes locales, cumpliré con todas mis obligaciones legales y financieras y no trataré de aprovecharme, en el ámbito personal, de los privilegios o inmunidades que se me hayan otorgado en el interés de la Nación de ASGARDIA. Haré mi mayor esfuerzo por asegurar que la conducta de los miembros de mi entorno directo no se refleje, de manera desfavorable, en la integridad de la Nación de ASGARDIA.

2. Desempeñar mis deberes oficiales y manejare mis asuntos privados de tal manera que evite conflictos de interés, preservando y acentuando así la confianza de Asgardianos y no Asgardianos en la Nación de ASGARDIA.

3. Mis acciones estarán libres de cualquier consideración de ganancia personal. Resistiré a cualquier presión política indebida. No buscaré ni aceptaré instrucciones sobre cómo desempeñar mis deberes por parte de gobierno alguno, las autoridades de mi nación o autoridades externas a las del Jefe de la Nación, el Consejo Supremo del Espacio y/o el Presidente del Parlamento. De acuerdo con la Constitución de la Nación de ASGARDIA, no aceptaré de ningún gobierno algún honor, condecoración, regalo de favor, remuneración; tampoco los aceptaré de otra fuente externa a los órganos soberanos de la Nación de ASGARDIA sin autorización previa. No me dedicaré a ninguna ocupación o empleo externos sin autorización previa. No aceptaré pagos o subsidios adicionales de un gobierno o de cualquier otra fuente ni participaré en determinadas actividades políticas como presentarse como candidato para un cargo público u ocupar el mismo durante mi actividad electa en la Nación de ASGARDIA. Evitaré asistir de manera preferente a personas o empresas privadas en sus gestiones con la Nación de ASGARDIA toda vez que esto pueda conducir a un tratamiento preferencial real o percibido como tal. Jamás participaré en actividades relacionadas con la adquisición de bienes y servicios o en actividades de recursos humanos en las que pueda surgir un conflicto de intereses.

4. Contribuiré a la construcción de un lugar armónico de trabajo basado en el espíritu de equipo, el respeto y la comprensión mutuos. Mostraré respeto por todos los colegas, independientemente de su estado o posición, y brindaré a todos los colegas la oportunidad de hacer oír sus puntos de vista y de contribuir a los esfuerzos del equipo, a partir de sus experiencias y conocimientos. Comunicaré abiertamente y compartiré la información pertinente (sujeto a confidencialidad) con otros colegas y haré mis mejores esfuerzos por responder a las consultas tempestivamente. Respetaré la privacidad de mis colegas y evitaré la información errónea. Buscaré resolver las diferencias y solucionar los problemas cuando surjan. Contribuiré a establecer un diálogo constructivo, guiado por el respeto mutuo y por un enfoque abierto y positivo entre la gerencia y los representantes del personal. En calidad de responsable de cualquier área o proyecto, estaré abierto a las opiniones de todos los miembros del equipo. Proporcionaré retroalimentación oportuna sobre el desempeño de cada miembro del equipo a través de orientación, motivación y reconocimiento total de sus logros.

5. Salvaguardar y hacer uso responsable de la información y recursos a los cuales tengo acceso, a raíz de mi ocupación en la Nación de ASGARDIA. Ejerceré el debido cuidado en todos los asuntos de carácter oficial y no divulgaré ninguna información confidencial acerca de los asuntos que me ocupen, colegas y otras cuestiones relacionadas con el trabajo. Protegeré, administraré y utilizaré los recursos humanos, financieros y materiales de la Nación de ASGARDIA de manera eficiente y eficaz, teniendo en cuenta que esos recursos se han puesto a disposición de la Nación de ASGARDIA para el beneficio de los ciudadanos y de los intereses de la Nación de ASGARDIA.

6. Prevendré, contrarrestare y combatiré cualquier corrupción, así como me comprometo a no abusar del poder y de la influencia que tengo, en virtud de mi posición.

7. Abstenerme de cualquier tipo de hostigamiento, discriminación, abuso verbal o físico, intimidación o favoritismo en el lugar de trabajo. No me involucraré ni toleraré ninguna forma de hostigamiento en el lugar de trabajo, incluido el acoso sexual y el abuso de poder. En calidad de gerente/supervisor, no pediré favores, préstamos o regalos a miembros del personal ni aceptaré de ellos los que representen algo más que un valor simbólico. Reconozco que existe un conflicto inherente de interés y un potencial abuso de poder en tener relaciones sexuales con personal que está bajo mi supervisión. Si llegara a tener una relación de esta naturaleza, resolveré este conflicto de interés sin demora.
