With all the money in the world, it is strange that we are still incapable of creating a space station where civilians can visit safely on holiday. It is very strange such endeavors weren't explored or developed decades ago. I can't help but feel this oppressive feeling.
There's so many thrilling things about Asgardia. However, for me, the most exciting and natural one to start with is the sense of opportunity. As the world's first space nation, we have a unique and compelling opportunity like no other: a chance not to start from scratch but leverage ...
Asgardia is perceived by many as a initiative that gains no ground, a dream for some that were born far too early for 'intergalactic' exploration/colonization/diplomacy [E.C.D], a dream of a star-wars lifestyle. but personally for me the Nation of Asgardia is much more then such. The first significant steps ...
I COMMENCED AN ASTROPHYSICS DEGREE 12 YEARS AGO FOR ONE REASON, HUMANS MUST SPREAD BEYOND EARTH TO ENSURE OUR SURVIVAL.

Let's get this space-nation-state started.
Hello,
My name is Bob Krautner. I'd like to be considered for the honor of a position in the government in what is, and will be, one of the most unique and history changing concepts since the wheel was invented. A nation, that is in all aspects ...
Listen. Reflect. Plan. Act. Those are the four words my mother taught me to live by. She always said that "A good talker is a great liar". Claiming that I am the best candidate is not provable but I'll let you gut feeling decide. Whosoever gets to be part ...
Hi there, my name is Peter Cartledge and, like you, I have recently become an Asgardian. Since childhood, I have always looked to the future. I have done this while always being mindful of the past. I don't believe we should be slaves to our past, as individuals, as ...
Well, I can't believe I am a member of Asgardia. It has been a dream of mine since early childhood to be involved in affairs beyond the Earth's atmosphere and Asgardia has allowed me to realise this dream. To this end, I will devote all my efforts to making ...
Hi this sakthilogan am in Sydney now a days
So, here it is. I embark on my journey to space today, on board the space station Asgardia.
I was amongst the lucky 5% to have found out about this project before everybody else, and managed to guarantee my seat at the table.
...Our present and our future are all entwined as we bravely step forward into the unknown to create a better world and indeed a better universe for us all and for those who come after us. It will be difficult at first and we will face many challenges but ...
How should an Asgardian Defence Force be established? Should it be based on the structure of an existing or former military and how should individual services be broken down (ie, Army, Navy, Airforce)? What would the ranks of the service be? What would the chain of command look like? ...
I agree with both Rincoadeje and Asolfr, particularly with Asolfr's comments on compulsory military service.
I have 2 main points to add:
1: An argument could be made for compulsory service in a "civil defence" unit- such units on earth do not fight but handle fire-fighting, floods ...
As a former soldier I have few ideas.
1) First of all I think that until we see what exact threat we're dealing with the army should be built from volunteers but be a paying job. No mandatory service as we will need human resources in a ...
I firmly believe that Asgardia should refrain from a Constitutional Monarchy. The proposition should be withheld from the final Constitution. The proposed system is far too outdated, and has no place in the state of the future. Rather, we should shift our focus to a technocratic governmental system. As ...
Hello friends of Asgardia
I have been surprised by this group of discussion about something as strange as a government of parliamentary monarchy or a republic, etc. What has happened to everyone? Has not he learned the lesson yet? Are we going to make the same mistakes ...

To me seems strange, the question itself about a form of government.

I'd like to start by apologising if this is in the wrong category, but I have a suggestion.
As of yet it would seem as if there is no agreed upon way to handle leap years in the Asgardian calendar, so I have a proposal. I think ...
@Phicksur
The problem is, for the foreseeable future, we do need to stay on Earth seasons. Earth is our only residence, and not everyone will change to this calendar. It's much easier if each day of the year coincides with each-other even across calendars.
@all ...
I frankly disagree with the kind of calendar we have now. It shouldn't be random like that (13 months). It just seems arbitrary. We should create a calendar that can be calculated using some constant objects in the universe, doesn't have to be the Earth's orbit around the sun ...
