I made a post about universal basic revenue. Since robots are to take most of the jobs, people will have to live even if they don't have work. We have to rethink our way of "living". We do not live to work. We work so we can feed ourselves. If robots can feed ourselves, we don't need to work ! Of course the transformation will be little by little on a few decades, but I think I will live long enough to see this.

First Asgardia should develop a program designed to allow it's citizens to return to school in order to get the education needed to qualify for a career. Asgardia should also at it's own expense shuttle those folks to the space station they might end up calling home. Or basically invest money in improving the base of the nation which is people such as teachers and other laborers. While limiting the earnings of officials so that. They are not earning ridiculous paychecks while the citizens they serve are barely scraping by

Asgardia should be build differently form the earth and considering poverty as a whole, we can not expect to tackle poverty while creating a system that's similar to what humans have today in the earth itself. Thinking about sending wealthy people to Asgardia first, only because, flying to space would be considered expensive, is like opting to send a corrupted politician to form a new corrupted government, just because she or he can. Indeed we should consider the love for power, money and recognition, that's behind every wealthy individual in a form of greediness and materialism superior to none,. and therefore, if we would love to have a nation that's messed up like the earth is today, please do send the wealthy first, and let them ruin Asgardia too. But if we want to create an new nation in harmony with itself, we should consider to create a system that's equal with every citizens with no distinction of social classes and most importantly wealth, in this way we will have a nation not governed by wealthy secret societies, where the key factor is being the wealthiest, but a nation capable of being wealthy because it uses everyone's capabilities working in unison with everyone.

I can think of one good point of this forum section existing here: it is a good place to move certain topics / discussions into, if/when they arise - to keep them from degrading the quality of certain other sub-sections of the forum. I'm just speculating here, but perhaps the mods (or whoever made this forum and the sections) thought about the danger that the bio-sciences or health&security forums could be overrun by all kinds of alternative therapies and related topics. By having a this sections, threads degrading the discussion can be moved away! On the other hand, this section can reduce the need to do things that could be considered censorship; controversial topics can be discussed here, and if the topic is deemed viable at some point, the old discussion is still archived here - and can be continued or moved to a more relevant section. (as for acupunture: it is not widely accepted by the medical community. It kind of used to be, but I believe what happened with acupuncture was publication bias; currently it seems it is probably little more effective than placebo. That being said, this IS the right section for discussion about acupuncture).
