I share the same opinion than you. I think that Asgardia must, as the first step, build cities in the only terra nullius on earth, the Mary Byrd Land, in antartica, and the Bir Tawil, a Land between Egypt and Sudan. I think this first step is crucial for us, because, i think we need territories to have Asgardian in the same Area, it's the most important step. Indeed, without territories, no infrastructures, no schools, no installations to launch our programs to go to the Space, no credibility to ne recognise by the international community, no real application of the politics to the people. A Nation without territories is like a soul without body.

According to the Telegraph, many countries have territorial claims over Antarctica, only a small chunk is currently unclaimed. I believe that it would be hard to claim that chunk because of the political disputes between countries, the harsh climate there would also be a problem. Establishing a city there would be quite expensive. In my opinion, it is not worth it. Instead, the fund could go into another project, such as settling on another planet or building a space station.
