Dawn Aerospace vs Virgin Orbit During SpaceBorn United’s exploration of backup execution partners we started discussions with Dawn Aerospace. They have developed re-usable unmanned spacecraft able to deliver small satellites in Low Earth Orbit. This makes them very flexible and affordable. The MK-II spacecraft has already been tested. The MK-III version is being developed and will be able to carry our recoverable biosatellite (70-80 kg payload) enabling human conception in space. The advantage over the Virgin Orbit’s Launcher One is that all stages of the flight are unmanned. This allows for payload design that does not have to meet human rated requirements, reducing testing complexity and manufacturing costs. Launching cost are also lower, because they do not need a large and manned Boeing airplane for the first stage. All together this can reduce the overall mission cost by around 2 million euro. The Launcher One on the other hand is a lot further in it’s development and testing stages and is backed by the large Virgin Orbit corporation. Making both Dawn and Virgin options very attractive for our LOTUS/ ARTIS mission.

With the continued contributions of Cranfield University we are making great progress in the mission architecture and payload design (our space embryo incubator). My experience in developing ARTIS (Assisted Reproductive Technology in Space) provides a pathway to the first stages of reproduction in space: conception and early embryo development. In addition, I am involved in researching the conditions and mission designs for actual childbirth in space. Asgardia's key scientific goal has the potential to unite many people and enrich global self-esteem, demonstrating strong ethical values that I wholeheartedly support. This is why my company, SpaceBorn United, includes 'United' in its name. I believe that combining my network of research and industry partners with Asgardia's network can help accelerate the scientific innovations that will not only inspire Asgardians, but also the global space life science sector and many others. It will also provide valuable business potential, including biomedical innovations that will benefit Asgardia's economy, the space sector in general, and practical Earth applications. Personal resilience On a personal level, I believe I can inspire other people (both within and outside Asgardia) to hold on to big dreams and work hard to make them a reality. I've been away for a while and it's nice to see Asgardia is still very much alive! I would like to make a proposition related to the economy of Asgardia. From what I have read it seems like the Solar is built on the same principles as the Euro, Dollar, ... I might be wrong but I have not found details about how the money is created. It is issued by the central bank but is it issued as debt-less money or is it debt-based? Is it interest bearing or not? If anyone has detailed documents about this I'd be interested. I've been doing research on monetary systems and how they influence behaviour and societal organisation and the impact is major and invisible for most. I believe that a nation that strives for perpetual peace and respect for all, no matter their ethnicity, religion, gender, background, ... should also implement the use of 'good' money. The money we use today around the planet, no matter what the currency, does not live up to that. It has a negative effect on our behaviour towards others, creates financial stress for most (even the rich) and pushes our economy towards exponential growth which our planet can not support. For those who want details about this, let me know and I'll happily supply the papers that support this.
