I am over 60 and I still remember it well. Anyway, my personal observation shows that the people want to belong to an empire, they want, we want, to belong to something big and powerful. Politicians know this, they know very well, they create flags, hymns and the promise of a better world. Two people live on promises, one lives very well and the other lives in misery. To understand the existence of extraterrestrial beings we have to think how advanced beings with a high level of technology could have developed on other planets or moons. The universe is vast and this approach concerns only planets that have evolved through the ages similar to planet Earth. A lot can happen on the planet in 10 billion years. Life, as we know it, can be studied academically by its natural classification into distinct species by its characteristics. On earth we know animal life, plant life and some other microscopic thing that we are still discovering. If we are interested in the development of humanity, we must study animal life, how it arose, how it developed, what are the main differences between species. The human being is an animal, it is a mammal, bipedal, with an opposing finger and a very, very large brain. But it is not the strongest animal on the planet physically. So, how do we get to the top of the food chain and consequently the power chain? We became or maybe we were always carnivores. We eat meat, we have to kill our lunch and dinner every day of the year and every year of our lives. We are predators. We hunted in the past, today we raise livestock to feed. We subjugated all other animals, even lions. We are capable as a race to kill any other animal on the planet, from microbes and bacteria to elephants and whales. All this power gave us time and the use of time for study gave us knowledge of nature and technology. Today we travel between the stars to distant worlds. We visited the Earth and its inhabitants, showing our power and demanding sacrifices. We move on, but we are looking at this planet with our space probes. OK. you understood.
