Vivemos, atualmente numa aldeia global onde a comunicação é instantânea de um local a outro nos antípodas deste planeta, ou seja o modelo comunicacional das sociedades contemporâneas tem uma capacidade de globalização que lhe é característico.

Com a interligação em rede entre os meios de comunicação de massa e os interpessoais torna-se difícil a censura e a manipulação da informação pelas elites originando uma perda da capacidade de influenciar decisões e vontades e da capacidade de realizar, de fazer, e de impedir que se faça.

Hoje em dia os movimentos sociais estão a recuperar a comunicação compartilhada e esta tendência vai aprofundar-se nos tempos mais próximos levando o fulcro da comunicação para os indivíduos unidos na sua revolta em vez de continuar na mão das elites.

Contudo a sociedade da comunicação global embora seja uma sociedade mais comunicativa não é, necessariamente uma sociedade onde os indivíduos ou grupos se comunicam melhor.

É nesse sentido que Umberto Eco fez, em 2015 quando recebeu o título de Doutor Honoris Causa na Universidade de Turim em Itália, afirmações polémicas como: “O drama da Internet é que ela promoveu o idiota da aldeia a detentor da verdade” ou “as redes sociais vieram dar voz aos imbecis... normalmente eles (os imbecis) eram imediatamente calados, mas agora têm o mesmo direito à palavra que um Prémio Nobel”.

Mas são essas mesmas redes sociais que, no meio do caos das comunicações individuais desses tais “imbecis” ou “idiotas de aldeia” se contrapõem à lavagem cerebral das sugestões dos “mass media” que, como são estimulações veiculadas através de processos não racionais levam à obediência e à massificação de tendências.

É, então que se pode contrapor que o sentido de “melhor” ou “pior” tem um sentido ambíguo, podendo inferir-se que essa “pior” comunicação possa ser, na verdade, uma comunicação mais eficiente no sentido de se insinuar pelos poros da comunicação das elites e de a destruir de dentro para fora como um virus.

Asgardia, sendo uma nação virtual de indivíduos ligados apenas pela Internet mostra todos os sinais acima referidos. Embora seja vítima da hipnotização dos “mass media” a nível individual, tem também e sobretudo uma comunicação interpessoal muito mais intensa que os países “normais” o que poderá obstar à usurpação do poder central por políticos corruptos e à  hegemonia económica neoliberal que escraviza os mais humildes.

Uma nação educada e culta não é enganada e usurpada por políticos desonestos e grandes grupos económicos. Somente nas sociedades em que ao povo é negada uma instrução de qualidade e a televisão aberta é usada como um meio gigantesco de lavagem cerebral é que isso acontece.

É por isso que é urgente que se criem meios importantes, credíveis e acessíveis à população para que Asgardia seja uma sociedade instruída.

Greetings fellow Asgardians!

This is my first of what I hope to be many posts that will attempt to address, share, pose, debate, inform and question the myriad issues that we face on a daily basis.

But first, let me introduce myself somewhat, if for no other reason than to be polite.

I suppose that geographically I can be considered South African, by birth and by upbringing. However, in my travels around the world, having lived and worked (and toiled) amidst various cultures, settings and creeds, I feel very much an ' international ' citizen - I'm sure many of you feel the same way - especially in an increasingly connected global village. I have a Brazilian wife, and two daughters both born in Brazil, and even before my girls came into this world, I knew that I wanted my family and future generations to be destined for life beyond Earth. Many people are uncomfortable with that concept - I see them thinking aloud " You are a strange, and unstable person.. ". I have been a journalist, a musician, a teacher, and currently a legal marketing analyst. But my curiosity about the universe, and our place in it, has remained a constant for as long as memory serves.

I struggled (and still do) with unifying theism with science - as I believe that the two are not mutually exclusive, and eventually there will come a time when some of our deepest fundamental questions will be answered (or, more likely, discovered). I like to consider myself a 'spiritual individualist' - filled with curiosity about the bigger picture, even though the daily routines of life can obscure reality in an irritating way!

When I discovered Asgardia, and the concept behind it, it was as if what I had been searching for had finally emerged, liked an oasis in the desert where the mirage was actually the monotonous daily life. I suppose I 'want to believe' in the success of the Asgardia project, so therefore my bias will necessarily lie with the possibility of its success; a kind of cognitive dissonance, which I need to work on...

But it is precisely because of our Earth's current situation - political, economic, climatic, technological, etc - and the definite polarity shifts that they are causing, that makes the idea of Asgardia so much more appealing right now. I am reminded almost every day of "The Second Coming" by W.B. Yeats:

"Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.."

Although there are clear religious parallels in this poem, it is the feeling of that 'widening gyre' in our world today, that is about to spiral off its course. And the instinctual reaction is for us to escape!
Well, the nation of Asgardia may only be an aspiring concept for now, but the collective effort we are all putting into the project will determine its rise to realization, hopefully in our own lifetime.

My motto for this life, and indeed for my children's life and future is:
"We may never know - but should always ask".

There are many more topics I would like to discuss, but I will leave those for another time and another post - because, as you know, routine life sadly must go on!

Estamos habituados, nos nossos respectivos países a votar de quatro em quatro anos e a criticar todo o dia as ações de quem pomos no poder. Se queremos construir uma nova forma de governo em Asgardia temos de começar a agir de outra maneira.

Necessitamos urgentemente de um novo paradigma.

Criticar é muito fácil, não implica qualquer ação nossa no sentido de resolver as situações que criticamos.

Do que necessitamos não é do deboche, da piada pronta, da crítica agressiva, da maledicência encoberta. Isso são ações que cabiam no velho paradigma e estão já marcadas como ineficientes. Nenhuma dessas ações levou a alterações marcantes e positivas na dinâmica da sociedade em que nos inserimos ou, se levou demorou imenso tempo a fazer efeito.

Com a sociedade global e midiatizada em que nos inserimos atualmente, essas piadinhas de lanchonete viraram comentários de facebook, algumas vezes virais e que podem correr mundo, mas que não duram o suficiente na realidade dos indivíduos para serem causa de mudança de hábitos e modos de pensamento.

O período de atenção das pessoas está bem mais curto e disperso do que, digamos, há vinte anos, procurando continuamente estímulos novos e levando a um ativismo preguiçoso de clicar e rolar para baixo sem um efetivo envolvimento emocional com as causas.

Do que necessitamos é de trazer as pessoas para a discussão livre dos problemas, envolvê-las na construção da nova sociedade que queremos que seja pertença de todos e não só de uma elite.

Porque quanto mais deixamos a resolução dos problemas na mão de uma elite que infantiliza o povo mais estamos sujeitos a governos corruptos e tirânicos que não querem saber do bem dos cidadãos.

Por outro lado os seres humanos são seres grupais e a obediência a um chefe foi passada de geração em geração, mas uma vez que a sociedade humana evolui, cada um dos seus membros individuais evolui também e é essa evolução individual que originará o novo paradigma de uma sociedade em que cada um tenha uma voz igual no destino de todo o grupo formando consensos, uma democracia que agirá de baixo para cima e não, como tem sido até agora, aquela democracia imposta de cima para baixo com multidões acéfalas que põem nos locais decisórios cidadãos inescrupulosos.

Mas novos perigos se avizinham: o ser humano está cada vez mais isolado, mais sozinho, apesar de poder se comunicar quase instantaneamente com qualquer parte do mundo.

Esta falta de interação física com os seus semelhantes pode levar a um distanciamento emocional, caso os indivíduos aprendam a viver sem necessitar dos outros, o que resultará numa falta de empatia, em não se preocuparem uns com os outros, o que é um traço básico das personalidades psicopáticas.

Como Asgardia é uma nação altamente dispersa, dificilmente haverá uma interação física entre a grande maioria dos seus membros e, logo se seguirá a falta de empatia que levará a decisões que poderão originar regras sociais e legislação altamente lesiva de grupos sociais minoritários.

É por essa razão que a implementação de grupos locais que poderão interagir de um modo mais próximo, em reuniões ou comitês, conhecendo-se uns aos outros em pessoa e não através de redes sociais, é muito importante. O ser humano, quer queiramos quer não, é um indivíduo grupal, necessita da proximidade, dos sinais físicos que dão contexto às palavras. É dessa interação que nasce o poder do povo.

Minhas principias metas são, promover a igualdade e respeito a todos, ter relações exteriores para que possamos ser uma nação mais unida, focar em segurança, irei unir as mentes brilhantes de nossa nação para que juntos possamos criar, desenvolver e implementar melhorias em nosso meio, serei sempre transparente com todos, estarei disposto a ouvir boas ideias sempre, e o principal, estarei sempre presente, representando vocês perante nossos ministros e lideres.

Who is creative stands out in the crowd. Copying strategies from others may be a safe decision for the short term, but it is your own strategies that will give you personal satisfaction.

Conservatism and lack of daring will condemn him to be always seen as an element that gravitates around the average and does not demonstrate the ability to cross the border that will put him among the best. A dash of creativity will potentialize the effects of your strategies. Believe!

I firmly affirm, my dear friends, that all of you and I need to be strategists if we are to succeed. Just as generals apply forces and resources to defeat their enemies and achieve their goals, we have competitors and goals to achieve. So we need to develop the strategic vision and reasoning to do things and win.

A dream can only be won when we believe it is possible to achieve it. And strategy is the ladder that leads us to victory, the full realization of that dream. Asgardia is the dream that comes true!

One thing I'd like to see here as soon as possible, as it is a very important tool sometimes, is the ability to embed images and youtube videos, or even videos from other sources, maybe even uploaded ones, into the post's message, as sometimes a video or image can greatly depict or help describe something you are talking about, specially so if it is something abstract.

I would like to call all you people to watch what is happening in South America right now. Look at Brazil, Paraguay and Venezuela. Every country in South America has the structure of powers inspired in the structure of US powers ( i just take out the English Guyana and Suriname which i don't know and i don't have sure about it, and of course, French Guyane ( that have another questions with strike, watch that too, i won't talk about it here.)).

In Brazil, the institutions responsible to investigate had uncovered a lot of corruption episodes involving the governmental party PT, who was coligated with PMDB that has the two houses at congress and betrayed PT aproving the impeachment. PMDB now united with PSDB from the old oposition, whose represent the big bussiness men from industries and agropecuary fields. Question is that the 3 parties are involved in corruptions scandals and PSDB is cited same as PT and the judges simply don't judge these cases. PMDB which had the most infamous low house leader Eduardo Cunha is also cited as much as PT and is consensually the most corrupt party in Brazil, their members are not punished as much as PT's members, however, here we all are hoping for a change about that, since PMDB assumed the government and led it to a pollitical instability. Eduardo Cunha, the infamous lower house president who was key for the impeachment of PT is now imprisoned for 15 years (for those who want to look for the full story i may write it in comments if you wish to), he lost his cargo, and was imprisoned right before the impeachment of PT. Now im Brazil, as PMDB has the president, and the two houses of congress, with the help of PSDB, they are voting lots of absurds in congress, which are contribution for political instability. Brazilian supreme court the STF, have some ministries of justice who are always in side of PMDB, even if they have to change their concepts of justice for judging PT to judge PMDB. Local situation here. The Executive Power and the Legislative Power are working together to stop the investigations and forcing absurd laws against people. Also are trying to make a deal with the STF, the judiciary power which, in partnership with investigation's institutions and the Attorney of the Republic can take out these corrupts of the three powers.

Look at Venezuela !!!! Nicolas Maduro assumed the country from the hands of Hugo Chavez, Venezuelans are living like a post civil war period, where because of inflation they have missing essencial things for life such as food, higienical paper, tooth paste and other things. Violence is in inevitable growth. The legislative power had in it's majority formed by politicians from the oposition and were getting Maduro a headache. But Maduro, with it's powers had made a lot of maneuvers to do what he wanted without the aproval of the assembly (the legislative power), and that is possible having a pact with the supreme court, the Judiciary Power. Now Maduro closed the Legislative Power, and in place made his Puppets of the Supreme Court to assume the place of the Assembly, even the chavist attorney of republic condemned what Maduro have done ( also venezuela was suspended from the MERCOSUR because of their situation, check also that if you want or ask me to tell about it in coments).

And specially, look at Paraguay. Some people say that Brazil made a paraguayan coup in impeachment process because of the paraguayan impeachment of Fernando Lugo. These collocations are being rejected, since in paraguay the aproval of impeachment was the will of their population, while in Brazil the impeachment was asked for a part of the divided population, who people may say are not the majority. If the impeachment of PT's president of Brazil was a coup ( i personally think it is) the responsible for that is Eduardo Cunha who used these portion of the population to make the impeachment. Because of the impeachment, Paraguay was temporarily suspended from MERCOSUR. Elections happened and people voted for Horacio Cartes to President. In the legislation of Paraguay, those who run to president and get elected, can never be elected anymore for any cargo, save this information. These days the Paraguayan congress had a secret session to vote for the possible of the president to be reelected, and that was an agreement with the governamental party, and the oposition party. Like Brazil, paraguay have more parties than just two, but the two big parties are the massive majority at the houses, and could make this bill be accepted. So the small parties members told the population about the secret session that was going and the paraguayan people went in conflict with the police and set fire in the Congress !!! Conflict went all over throw the country and a manifestant was killed by police with a shoot !!! While a lot of people have been injuried !!

The fact that i want to tell you is that, these 3 governments are totally agains the people's will, they are going on by men who were once voted and that people don't aprove anymore !!! If people don't aproove them anymore... What are they still doing there ??? Because the laws do not allow a popular dissolution of the assemblies and congresses ( or parliaments) and a popular impeachment of their presidents !! That's where i argue that Asgardia Should do !!!! To make the civil power the 5th power !! Which is the power that votes for the Head of Nation and the Parliament members, but also may call for veto the parliament and the head, and also to make the impeachment of the Head and to dissolve the Parliament !!! I ask you all to discuss that and to not commit the mistake of making just 3 powers bigger than the people !!!

P.S.: The 4th Power in my opinion should be the scientifical power, which i may argue later
