As we have the ability to edit our posts and replies, it could be quite important to have the ability to see the edit history of any post or even to see deleted replies as long as they have not been deleted by a moderator, for cases in which, during an argument, a user might wish to edit or delete specific replies of his own to try and undermine or change the outcome of how a discussion actually went like. Comments edited or deleted by moderators and administrators would have their history hidden up until the staff action, which means that to edition, it would only show from the moment the moderator/administrator edit while deleted the history would be hidden to users but moderators and administrators would still have a way to find the deleted content and maybe even undo a certain action if needed.

It would be useful to be able to report content which violates the forum regulations, does not add to the discussion, or is outright unintelligible, as it would make moderation easier. This is a standard feature in most online forums, however I have not been able to locate it on this one.

We, friends, have an unique opportunity to learn from the mistakes of mankind, to evaluate the choices made by our forefathers, to avoid repeating their mistakes, and to learn from their experiences, so that our children may prosper where we now struggle. For this purpose, an appropriate choice of government is of foremost importance to the prosperity and longevity of our nation. Though there are many different forms of government, two have arisen as most prominent in our beloved Planet Earth: Democracy and Socialism. Yet these are not the only forms of government that exist, far from it. And both of these, despite their popularity in the current geopolitical sphere, have glaring flaws that limit their usefulness to the development of an ideal society. It is my hope to spark a thoughtful and rational discussion, so that all of you, my future comrades, may provide your feedback and we may reach this decision together, through careful introspection and analysis of the advantages and shortcomings of every relevant government system. To my knowledge, no nation on Earth currently implements this form of government, yet I believe it holds the potential to be one of the most progressive and efficient forms of government ever devised, and appears to be perfectly aligned to our interests as a Spacefaring civilization. In a Technocratic mode of government, a Council of Experts (e.g. scientists, engineers and intellectuals) from every Technological and Scientific field is formed, and decisions are taken collectively through rational discussion, following the basis of the Scientific Method. Priority is given to the suggestions and input of the foremost experts on the fields most relevant to the issue at hand. As I envision it, such a system is preferable to decisions being carried by a charismatic yet ultimately ignorant politician or through the votes of an otherwise uninformed populace. The goal of such a system is to ensure informed and rational decisions are made, for the betterment of society, by individuals of gifted intellect, with the knowledge and experience to recognize the intricacies of the issue at hand, with their expertise allowing for identifying potential issues well before further complications arise. Naturally, this is a rather simplistic exposition of the Technocratic system, yet, as a preface designed to promote discussion, I believe it should suffice. It could be very useful to, besides the usual notification system forums usually have, to have an "individual" notification system where the user can set posts made by himself not to notify him of replies or to select only specific topics to notify him by e-mail, maybe even topics he did not start and just wish to follow. Certain options like "weekly/monthly e-mail notification" could also be useful for people who do not have much time to stay up to date on the forums.
