As a single business professional self identifying as a mega nerd, I can agree with several points that have been made here toward the low female to male ratio. Initially, upon hearing about Asgardia, I read, researched, and daydreamed for over an hour before I almost closed my browser saying 'that would be cool', but then I said 'why the hell not?' and signed up. As a young woman my parents encouraged me to be myself a lot more than my friends parents did, but that doesn't mean I don't still sometimes buy into the obvious stigma when it comes to women loving space, Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, and other related things. When I was growing up, Astronauts were boys, but that didn't stop me from wanting to see the stars.

I don't have many female friends, but the friends I do have are not the kind to daydream about space like me, but I do believe they will see the good in the humanitarian efforts and hopefully, sign up for those reasons.

Whatever reasons they may have, I do hope more women decide to join Asgardia,

My country has fiercely pushed the agenda of gender equality and still women seem to like social jobs more. You see some female paragons here and there, they get attention and are highly praised but nothing changes in the grand scheme of things. For example, I would like to see more female colleagues in IT, if even to counter the bad social recognition my field has but I see grimaces and rolling eyes from most women if talking about it - while most guys seem to have no opinion on this.

Decretul nr.3/ 20.03.1 (17.03.2017) Moscova

Prin acest decret, declar Ziua Unității Naționale, 1 Asgard anul 1 (18 iunie 2017 în calendarul Gregorian)

ZI DE VOT UNIFICAT

În această zi toți Asgardienii validați au dreptul să participe la un vot electronic cu privire la următoarele aspecte:

1. Declarația de Unitate a Asgadiei;

2. Constituția Asgardiei;

3. Steagul Asgardiei;

4. Stema Asgardiei;

5. Imnul Asgardiei.

Invit toți Asgardienii să participe la acest vot de importanță fundamentală pentru națiunea noastră.

REGULAMENT DE VOT /1 Asgard (18 iunie) 2017

1. Votul va dura 24 de ore, în data de  1 Asgard (18 iunie 2017), electronic pe www.asgardia.space .

2. Fiecare asgardian certificat are drept de vot.

3. Toate voturile asgardienilor au valoare egala cu un (1) vot.

4. Declarația de Unitate și Constituția Asgardiei vor fi publicate pe forum pentru dezbatere publica, iar documentul revizuit va fi votat. În ziua votului unificat Declarația și Constituția vor fi supuse la vot. Votanții trebuie sa răspunde cu „da” sau „nu” la următoarele întrebări:

„Adoptați Declarația de Unitate / Constituția Asgardiei?”

5. Cei care sunt de acord cu  Declarația de Unitate și Constituția Asgardiei vor trece la nivelul trei de certificare și vor primii Cartea de Identitate Asgardiana. Cei care nu sunt de acord cu  Declarația de Unitate și Constituția Asgardiei vor rămâne la nivelul doi de certificare.

6. Votul despre drapel, stemă și imn va fi ținut. Doisprezece opțiuni vor fi publicate pentru fiecare categorie: 4 obținute prin vot public, 4 de la o comisie de experți și 4 din partea președintelui. Nu va fi specificat cine a propus sau ce țara reprezintă acestea. Fiecare votant poate vota o singura opțiune din fiecare categorie. Sistemul de vot va lua în considerare ultima opțiune selectata înainte de apăsarea butonului de „vot”.

7. Rezultatul final al votului va fi anunțat la 5 zile după terminarea votului.
