Then on Monday the 25th of June, Asgardia announced itself, and I became interested in getting more information about it... As I read through the constitution, I became convinced that joining was imperative and thus became a citizen/member of the community... I will convince others to join... Once they see that we need a community of people who truly can take the tenets of the 'constitution' as real and humane, they will not see this as a joke as I did at 1st... My mistake!!! I am glad that I am a member and a part of the community...

Well, guess what?  The world's governments are releasing their databases of UFO files as we speak, and disclosure is happening, whether you like it, agree with it, believe in it, or not.

Personally, I look forward to first contact, so that all of the Reddit-esque "skeptics" among you can eat crow.  Yes, I just went there.  A good skeptic remains skeptical of his own skepticism, lest he (or she) commit the fallacy of observer bias, for one.

The amount of people who talk about critical thinking and logic, while committing logical fallacies, is just profound, but... that's what passes as "intellectual" in the common place world of today.  No, it doesn't matter that I hold multiple degrees, that I'm accredited in neuroscience, philosophy and religious studies, or that I continue to research the topics of quantum physics, cosmology, astronomy, and cutting edge science, no, all that matters is that your personal peers disagree RABIDLY with what they call "pseudoscience."

Having actually COME from a scientific background, and having never expected to have experienced what I have experienced, or to accept what I now understand as being actually true about our universe and our own freaking solar system, it bothers me how much information is rejected by "science" and "scientists."  Did you know that any extreme (called an outlier) in a study is rejected, lest it skew the standard deviation and the rest of the statistical outcome?  This information is rejected because it's inconvenient.

Then, if somebody decides to study those outlier results, it's called "fringe science" or "pseudoscience."  Well, guess what, friends?  Rejecting that information makes you a BAD scientist and makes what you practice BAD SCIENCE, or "scientism."  The SCIENTIFIC METHOD should not discriminate against information because it's inconvenient, and this is exactly what we are experiencing today.

No, a revolution is coming, to replace this classical nightmare with something that actually makes sense of the observer influence, of entanglement, of "spooky" action at a distance, of consciousness, of "FTL" travel, of antigravity, of nonconventional propulsion, etc, etc, etc.  So, enjoy when it hits, because it'll change humanity forever, and for the better.

Hello Asgardia,

For those of you who may not know me, I am the Head of Community Affairs for Asgardia. I have been overseeing the social media and volunteer teams for Asgardia for the last year. Recently, I was given the mandate to help in the process of increasing Asgardia's image to the greater public and bring in fresh ideas and services to the Asgardia community. I wanted to update you on what has been and is still in progress to work towards these goals.

Firstly was to restructure parts of Civic Asgardia and the volunteer teams to help with the new direction. The first emphasis was to offer support administrative wise to the Central Election Committee. "Nikari" Steve Miller was loaned out as Elections Manager and volunteer teams were brought on board to help with the final weeks of the elections to offer logistical support. Seondly was to bring up email and social media response time to help public and community questions. Third was to begin applying best practices to the volunteer intake and training process in order to start better caplitalising on existing and new volunteer skillsets. Finally, several projects were planned on new online presences for Asgardia to bring information and new services to the nation as well as add greater communication and transparency of Asgardia actions.

One of the first projects that we worked on was the new Asgardia Space News website in which Asgardia endeavors to bring news about Space, Technology, Science, Engineering, and related topics of interest. This site will be going through some evolutions in the coming weeks, firstly to launch translations of the articles into the other twelve languages of Asgardia starting with Spanish and then to the others once the process is smoothed out and we have reliable and accurate translators for the other languages. We are looking at new avenues for content for the website and to slowly work away from syndication of news to producing our own original news stories. We hope that the community will visit this site, comment on articles and continue to give us feedback on the type of content that you would like to see on this site.

Another project that is nearing completion is a unified web contact form. This form will be attached the the new websites and will be adapted for use on the existing Asgardia.space website. This contact form is to allow the community and public easier access to support avenues so that we can help them better with any issues they have and answer their questions in a more timely manner.

Also, there was the creation of an opt-in monthly newsletter. This newsletter will allow us to communicate closer with the community and keep them 'in the loop' on Asgardia news and events.

Our biggest project, however, is still currently in progress and we hope to launch in part after the elections are over. It is a new Asgardia community site, a 'home' for Asgardia where Community and Business based services and functions will be offered. We will be launching an online roadmap for this site which will be publically viewable and updated regularly with progress of this site. To give you an example of the services that will be offered on this site are:

- The Asgardia Business Center. A multiphase project that will allow businesses of all sizes to connect with consumers, allow for start up and charity funding initiatives, job boards for businesses to recruit talent, mentorship opportunities, and incubator projects.

- Asgardia Community Activity and News. Listings for Professional Asgardia Associations, professional and interest guilds and clubs.

- National Community Center activities and news from Asgardia centers around the world.

- Online resource library for scientific papers and other open resource literature.

- All ages Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC), a resource to offer education for all Asgardians no matter the age they may be. Eventual plan is to partner with accredited institutions in order to offer high level accredited courses.

- Asgardia Publication House which would offer online and hardcopy versions of written materials created by Asgardians.

- Asgardia merchandise store so that Asgardians can buy official Asgardia branded items to show their Asgardia pride.

- New and improved forums and online collaborative tools to allow Asgardians to communicate and work more closely together.

... and many more services that will help bring our community together and show the world what we have to offer as a nation.

I plan on having discussions with members of Parliament and with the Ministries about this site and how it can work in concert with the future laws and projects yet to come.

I would like to thank everyone who has already stepped up and offered their help and expertise in getting these endeavors off of the ground. We still have a lot of work ahead of us but I know that if we all (Volunteers, community members, MP's, Ministers) work together we can show the world that Asgardia is a leader to the stars and show that what we bring can benefit all of humankind.

My fellow Asgardians,

It is nearly the end of the election, and we can feel the stress in the air as each of us candidates strives to reach as many people as possible!  Personally, I have had a frustrating time reaching anyone, as I cannot access my notifications or the basic chat function of my profile, and the social media options seem to be quite limited.

This is something that elected candidates, that Parliament and the newly formed government of Asgardia, will have to focus on resolving, so that civilians can connect with their elected officials, and so that future elections are much easier to accomplish, as candidates.  We will have a lot of work to do, and we will need more efficient means of communication in order to do so.  That being said, here's what I feel that I bring uniquely to the table, as a candidate of the English district:

1.  My focus on cryptocurrency, and the need of Asgardian civilians to maintain control over its mining, dispersal, and eventual valuation.  I believe that, for the time being, only civilians should be able to mine the currencies (SOLAR and LUNAR), until a certain critical mass has been achieved, at which point, we can open it up to the rest of Earth's population, in order for it to compete with the other available cryptocurrencies, in order to gain actual monetary value, and to thereby also compete with, or be worth anything to, the rest of the global economy.

2.  My focus on exopolitics, which are a branch of geopolitics that deal with... external realities.  This would include issues like airspace, the rights of international entities to access various orbits (ie, low Earth orbit, high Earth orbit, lunar orbit, Martian colonization, etc), but it also focuses on how we deal with the very likely reality of interspecies communication.  When first contact happens, as the first Space Nation of the people of Earth, we will need to be on the front lines, and that means that we need to think of and develop policies, action plans, and contingencies.  I believe, strongly, that we will have a peaceful first contact, but we will be met with the realities of intergalactic politics, and will have to be prepared to "land running."  Having studied this for the past decade, and having had experiences of my own, I believe that I offer something truly unique in this particular area of politics, namely exopolitics.

3.  My specialization in neuroscience comes with accomplishments that I have not published.  Namely, I discovered the locus operati of all mood disorder, and our nation could be the first to step away from the corruption of "Big Pharma," in order to focus on the well being and mental health of our people.  The fact is that mental health is a highly overlooked, taboo area of human psychology and medicine, and our nation could make put mental health of its citizens at the forefront of its collective interests.  We must be a nation that looks at the collective happiness of its people, rather than just the GDP.  A successful nation cares about the best interests of ALL of its people, not just those with the most money.

4.  When it come to the economy, and based on what I have already written above, I believe that we must be a nation that takes the financial wellbeing of all of its citizens seriously as well.  There should be no "haves and have nots" in Greater Asgardia, but rather we should look out for one another.  Those who chose to mine the currency, and those who make decisions about SOLAR and LUNAR, should have certain perks for being directly involved in the development of our economy, but we should not allow some citizens to HOARD our national currency, especially not at the disadvantage of other civilians.  What society at large forgets is that the people who keep the infrastructure working and moving forward, be they janitors or basic laborers, are truly just as important to the success of a nation as its doctors, politicians... and especially its bankers.  As such, policies must be implemented to ensure that those who contribute to the well being of Asgardia are themselves taken care of.  We must work together, with altruism as a guiding principal.

5.  The arts and culture are of fundamental importance to the identity of any nation, and Asgardia is no different.  We must put as much emphasis on the arts (in all their various forms) as we do on the sciences.  Philosophy is as important to understanding cosmology and quantum physics as is the math behind it.  You can not have one without the other, and our educational model must make certain that no area of thought is ignored among its academic community.  When we have opened up a university/ post secondary institution of our own, it must focus on learning for the sake of learning, not just education for the sake of jobs.  We must have a well educated population, and that education must be well rounded.  Not everybody thinks in terms of arts, but it is important to at least understand the nature of the arts, of philosophy, and of history, in order to put the sciences, mathematics, politics, and even theoretical cosmology into perspective.  Our education system can also be a beacon of light for the world.

6.  I try to educate myself in all areas, as everything fits together.  Likewise, Asgardia must recognize that it is a holistic entity.  No one area can go overlooked, as it will come at the expense of the entire whole that is the organic nature of our nation.  Asgardia will be a living, breathing entity, with its citizens working as the cells of a greater body.  As such, candidates must work together, and civilians must participate in the process of growth and development of the Asgardian "Space Kingdom."  We are all in this together, and we cannot allow ourselves to be divided, but must find ways to compromise, and to overcome the problems that are inevitable in the formation (especially in the early years) of any nation, especially ours, being so unique and original, being forged from scratch.  Each and every one of us is an important, vital part of the whole, and Asgardia, whether we are speaking of economics, politics, science and education, etc, is a holistic entity that must be treated as such.  We must work together, in ways never before seen on Earth.

Just to let everyone know.  I do not prolifically post on social media.  Personally I believe that commenting for the sake of having a comment is not very constructive.  If I do not have anything constructive to add to the discussion I do not post.  When I do I take part in the conversation.  I hope you understand.

Just as a bit of background I have been a member of Asgardia from when it was first announced.  I then volunteered at an event in Montreal where I had the pleasure of meeting some of the Officials such as Ms Lena De Winne and Dr Jakhu.  I was very honored when they reached out to me and asked me to be on the independent voting commission to verify the votes on the Constitution.   Some of you may have seen some of my camera work on the Facebook live stream of that event.... it was the shaky part.  :)

I decided to start running at this time because I have been watching the discussions and seeing many people drop out and the conversations becoming less and less positive.  As someone who believes strongly in what Asgardia is trying to achieve I took a moment to consider hard the responsibility I would be stepping up for.  After much conversation with my family I decided to put put my name in to run to become a member of Parliament.

Asgardia has a long and hard road ahead of it. I believe that if we all roll up our sleeves and work together as a team to put the effort in we can build the Asgardia that the world needs.  We need to be realistic and positive, making progress towards our Asgardia goals.

I hope you will vote for me and we will continue on this journey together.

It's very frustrating trying to be a candidate of this primary parliamentary election, because the existing infrastructure is very poor, and it seems like most members of Asgardia are not, themselves, very active.  So, how do I reach out to you and gain your vote?

I have so much to offer this fledgling nation, between politics and policies, culture and technological breakthroughs.  We stand to be a great nation, if we work together, and we can be recognized as REAL and SOVEREIGN by the world, in our unity and our interactions.

We must take control of our own financial situation, an issue that I continue to repeat, with regards to the cryptocurrency named SOLAR.

We must make campaigning something that is easier to accomplish, to be able to interact with our various demographics, and to make the most of our fledgling democracy.  There is much work to do, but we can accomplish it all, if we work together, in unity.

We must also make sure that this election is more than just a popularity race, for those who registered earlier and managed to get votes, while others with more to offer are going unnoticed, if only because we're not as active on social media.  There are candidates who can offer truly advanced perspectives on geopolitics, exopolitics, economics, and all the various topics that are required in the accomplishment of this exercise in nation building.

It is up to us to bring more people in to the Asgardia community, people who think this is more than just a cool website, who have become citizens out of more than just curiosity...  We need people who understand that this is a novel attempt at creating a new nation, the world's first, official, space (ie, non–terrestrial) nation, who take this process seriously, and want to bring their own efforts and skills to the process.

Let me rephrase that:  THIS ELECTION NEEDS TO BE ABOUT MORE THAN JUST POPULARITY!  It needs to be about competence, about skills, about diverse, outside–of–the–box thinking, and it should ultimately be the responsibility of the administration of Asgardia to make it possible for those of us with something legitimate to offer to reach our demographics, with more ease.

Not only has there been a disadvantage with regard to time in this election, but actually reaching the people of Asgardia has not been an easy task.  I'm not even certain whether my blog posts are being read, though my votes have currently gone from 4 up to 19, not that I seem to have gained any ground with regards to my ranking.  Even just sneaking into one of the last seats would serve my purposes just fine, because I would be able to oversee the subsequent evolution of the policies that will, themselves, determine the future and the fate of Asgardia.

So... in brief... there has to be a better way than this to campaign.  There doesn't currently seem to be any information, or any real policies in place for campaigning, aside from the VERY PASSIVE 'button' on our campaign pages, to send random messages to people... actually, I don't even know what it does!  It just says "Push here to campaign."  That's it!  We can do better than that, and, if I am elected to Parliament, I will make sure that future elections run much more smoothly, and make much more sense to those involved.

This is a real election, for a real, sovereign, unique nation, and, as such, it needs to be taken seriously, by EVERYBODY involved, be it civilians, candidates, or the existing administration.  Frankly, this website needs to be updated substantially, since this is fundamentally the very foundation of our national identity.  We don't have land, we have cyber–space, and we need this site to be retrofitted, the bugs resolved, and the ability to interact with each other, to change the course of our early history and to actually be involved in the success of Asgardia.

Anyway, we can do better than this, Asgardia, and we will do better than this.  Just keep on bringing new minds, and let's make this nation grow in a positive direction, together.

Candidate Nissim 1 makes an interesting argument against fishing for votes.

While canvassing is a necessary democratic method - we need to campaign, to start conversations and to ask people to vote for us. But there's a degree to which if you are just begging for votes, you are being unethical.

The main ones are: Vote for me and I'll vote for you, or just, vote for me - but I have no plan.

The first one is problematic because it makes this election a zero-sum game. Either "I'll vote for you if you vote for me" or "I won't vote for you" means the only votes you get and exchanged for no benefit.

Let's be clear here: the only ethical way to vote, is to vote for an inspiring candidate.

So here's the deal... If you read through my profile and my writings and you aren't inspired - don't vote for me! And if you like me and find me inspiring, or if you believe I can do a duty - vote for me!

Meanwhile, I make the same promise. I will vote for you if you inspire me to. But if you don't, I will not give you a vote for a vote.

We don't need that kind of political gaming.

We need governors, not gamers.

Overview
This document serves as an overview of public agreement to join an open group of citizens acting as a thinktank in "operation: Treasury." It will document my intentions, agreements and plans as a matter of live, public record. Regard the blog of Ross Cheeseright for his call for membership of such a think-tank.

Introduction

After viewing Ross's post in the Facebook group Asgardia General (Official), I contacted him to discuss the plans revolving around the treasury. I asked to join and volunteered to build a slack channel and other social media communication channels for the group.

Social Media
I have already built the slack channel, it is only awaiting population. I have downladed Discord for future voice-based discourses. I plan to launch a Trello profile and Facebook group.

Financing Ideation
Prior to the meetings and first discussions, I plan to propose a set of ideas which could be researched towards more concrete and actionable financing goals. A rough draft of this proposal will follow.

• Attract Asgardian artists and illustrators to design small graphical representations of Asgardia.
• Sell these in a variety of online venues for print-on-demand merchandise.

Stage Two - Launch end of March/Beginning of April

• Crowdfund for single project from list:
  • Sci-Fi Sci-Fi Anthology comprised of short stories about Asgardia’s future.
  • Poetry anthology comprised of Asgardian poets celebrating the themes and dreams of Asgardia.
  • Historical Documentary tracking and describing the founding of Asgardia.

Stage Three-Five

• Repeat Stage Two until all three projects are funded. Fund and complete one, then another, then another.
• Save Money From Sales

Aim for completion by summer’s end.

Stage Six

Use gains from projects to fund assembly of an engineering team. The engineering team will build - in conjunction with the National Bank, the Treasury and the Financial Ministry  - a blockchain foundation for the SOLAR. Launching an ICO will provide a central funding for the first National Vault. The Nation will control the mining of SOLAR until it possesses an acceptable set of master nodes. SOLAR will be in part issued as payment for services, and partially as a tradeable product.

Stage Seven

Asgardia should then turn its attention to tasking the Engineers with working with the Treasury and the Ministry of Youth and Education to construct the online educational platform of Asgardia.

Stage Eight

Asgardia should sell usage rights to non-Asgardians either as an upfront service to the people of the world, or as an option for nations themselves to pay for via international agreements.

Stage Nine

Asgardia should use its educational system to vet and identify the educational promise of its citizenry. When citizens already possess degree-worthy education, the State should perform inter-work missions, getting jobs for its best citizens in fields of science and space engineering.

Stage Ten

The State will create a grant-giving block-chain system meant as a decentralized means of regulating the funding of new private enterprises. Representatives of the Treasury and the political leadership seek global investment in the Asgardian blockchain network to fund discreet private business grants. The grant system will select for ideal businesses proposed to work in businesses of interest to Asgardia such as - but not limited to - private space business.

Stage Eleven

Semi-Voluntary Taxation programs should begin to be initiated. The richest Asgardians should be asked to pay a small share of taxes. Meanwhile, an opt-in voluntary tax service is launched as a means for citizens to pay anything that they can to the state. A payment must be made, but to which public institution and by which denomination will be up to the user up to and including a fraction of a dollar.

Stage Twelve

Asgardia expands its online social services, assists in the rise of Asgardian business, builds public businesses. Asgardians are working and participating in global affairs.

Conclusion
I've got some work ahead of me. I have to complete the above document and create a more clear theory of work for achieving all the major goals. I plan to refer to Agile/Scrum and OKRs methods of team organization for chunking larger abstract problems into numerous small tasks carried out by members of teams. I also plan to engage in dialectics with the Think Tank in order to criticize the faults of the proposals, to add in other excellent ideas, and to adjust and redesign promising but incomplete ideas.

Overview
This document serves to outline two concepts. One is a suggestion for a national educational service which tracks and assists the progress of citizen self-education. This includes a model for attracting and financing educators. The social service demonstrates a kind of model which could be replicated for any service Asgardia has the power to provide through the internet. But this model for social service itself requires initial funding to lift off the ground. Fortunately, a work-backed blockchain network might solve this problem of funding. This three-stage plan is proposed to lead to a robust and unique SOLAR currency traded internationally and earned by social service providers.

Decentralized Education on the Blockchain

Asgardia should make active use of blockchain technology and crowdfunding in order to build a fledgling educational matrix for citizens.

The internet is filled with incredible educational content. But what is generally lacking is a structure around that which guides students forward and assists them with their self-directed education. For example, a person can easily sample the enormous scientific lecture listing produced by MIT called their “open courseware”. Or if one searches carefully, there are over 20 lectures from many universities about philosophy. Further education is distributed through many sources - The Great Courses, Coursera, EduX, Khan Academy and many others.

What Asgardia should do is first create a platform which helps citizens navigate the complex set of what’s available. Secondly, this platform should track progress and associate educational process with a citizen’s profile. Finally, Asgardia should do this by constructing smart contract profiles for citizens in a blockchain. Proofs of viewing become the foundation for an appearance of expertise.

In order to expand the usefulness of the service, Asgardia should also provide profiles and a marketplace to Asgardian educators. These educators should be rewarded a cryptocurrency denomination for doing some essential work. These may include:

- Making new educational content native to the Asgardian educational platform.
- Creating formal tests for philosophy and science.
- Working en-masse to create a suite of Asgardian textbooks by way of massively decentralized work structures.

- Ranking and reviewing the content produced by Asgardian educators honestly and critically.

But I’m getting ahead of our abilities. How do we have national services without the funding to pay for national services? Fortunately I have an idea for that: we must build a Work-Backed Blockchain (WBB) Network.

Work-Backed Blockchain Network
Asgardia needs to frame its social services under a network of Blockchains with secondary cryptocurrencies. These will form the basis for creating the value of the SOLAR. We do this first by drafting whitepaper proposals for the first suite of social services, focusing on services which can be transmitted over the internet such as the aforementioned educational service. Then we launch ICOs for the services. The revenue from the ICO becomes the initial vault of value for the SOLAR. Future tokens rewarded for work by any service’s blockchain is traded to the government in exchange for SOLAR. The SOLAR’s ongoing value is determined by the volume of high-value transactions to the government. Workers whose reputations produce higher quantities of secondary tokens provide greater value to the SOLAR.

In this model, each service has its own cryptocurrency, its own blockchain and its own smart contract reputation service tracking the fitness of providers and services which rewards useful participation. These might come in the form of Colony (colony.io) teams or Bitnation (tse.bitnation.co) holons or through some other technology at first, but eventually will be proprietary Asgardian blockchain software structures. The real value will be found once those services are built.

Stage One - Funding and the Catch 22 Paradox

But how do we even fund the initial steps of this project? Aren’t we running into a catch 22 here? We are losing funding and we need a strategy to get our own funding.

We need to create the plan for each service in a separate whitepaper. Then for each service we must launch an ICO - an initial coin offering. The very first ICO must be for the SOLAR itself. We attract investors to purchase initial tokens at a fixed rate. We use the funds gained by the ICOs and invest into the treasury of the SOLAR. By having a primary currency backed by a fixed store of value, we can create a first social service: the governments Blockchain Engineering Service as a member of the Ministry of Science.

Stage Two - Building the Thing

This engineering wing will construct the economic model first by creating an interface for Asgardia with the Colony and Bitnation services to fund their own work. Colony will provide the initial workforce platform which allows our engineers to do the work of building the other social services, such as the educational service mentioned above. The tokens these Engineers receive will be the first proof-of-works traded for the Asgardian primary currency.

Workers will exchange their proof-of-work tokens to the state for equal parts SOLAR, and those proof-of-work tokens will be stored in a treasury vault as the financial backing of the SOLAR. This token will be produced such that most of the tokens are sold internationally, or loaned by the government, or traded for proof of work.

Stage Three - The Birth of an Internationally Traded National Currency

Hopefully by then, there has been enough trading of Asgardian currencies to provide objective value to workers. The SOLAR will be appraised by the market due to having a foundational basket of other kinds of value, both proof-of-work and traditional investment. This will attract Asgardian educators and other potential social workers to our platforms. Providing service will produce proof-of-work tokens, and they will be traded to the government to increase the backing of the Asgardian primary currency. Over time the SOLAR will grow to become a robust and powerful currency - if we use the momentum of our social services to inspire the birth of Asgardian space, science, produce and art industries which trade in SOLAR.

At its core, however, the world’s nations will also see the value in the rising SOLAR. This will be primarily because of relieving some of their social burdens by providing decentralized online services for people. As our value to the nations of the world grows, so too will their interest in us. And that will only spiral around towards greater investments in our One Nation and One People.

Conclusion

I hope this has been a convincing idea for a model of future Asgardian public service and funding. This is obviously an incomplete idea and can be improved greatly. Version of this kind of reasoning could be applied to creating an Asgardian crowdfunding alternative to taxation. People could regularly donate as a voluntary tax funds to any number of Asgardian social services, constantly providing additional short-term value to the currencies traded from service to employee, and from employee to nation, and finally from nation to service providers. These ideas can be expanded in any direction - but not without the committed work of an Asgardian government and people!

Hello Asgardia!

I am a candidate in this inaugural parliamentary election , but haven't been interactive via social media. I'm hoping to change that, for the sake of this election alone, but I've stepped back from Facebook in my life recently, on account of its destructive side on real life and soulful purpose, on my own direction. I'm sure you can relate or at least understand; however, I am also very much involved, especially intellectually, in the pursuit of the betterment of humanity, and am very interested in the concepts of exopolitics and of our existence with other space faring nations. Many exist, but they are ultimately concerned about interacting with us, for one reason or another.

As such, I am reaching out to you, socially, via this medium, to say hello...

I am a thinker and a leader, with my head often occupied by thoughts on cosmology, quantum physics, fuzzy logic, entanglement and hundredth monkey phenomenon, consciousness, universalism, fractals and holism, altruism, and a plethora of other scholarly fields, including anthropology, neuroscience, philosophy, and the arts. I am a jack of all intellectual trades, but also an existentialist... one who suffers in his pursuit of greater truths and higher realities. As such, I wood love to apply my mind, and to be actively involved in the development of policies for the governance of this greater, independent, free, and sovereign (potential) space nation, known as Asgardia .

The inherent and imminent principals of Asgardia are of immense relevance and importance to the survival of our species, in pursuit of a future that is far more peaceful and of mutual benefit for all beings, all peoples, universally .

The first petition is on the matter of the need for a cut-off date, in running for office by becoming a candidate for the parliament, following which point all candidates will have the same amount of time to campaign, instead of how it is currently designed, where some candidates have had months more time than others, say... those who just found out about this election later, or became interested citizens of Asgardia and only just realized that they even could run for a position in the Asgardian Parliament.

The second petition is to help ensure that the Asgardian cryptocurrency, SOLAR, can only be mined by credible, able citizens of Asgardia, and that the currency will be held exclusively by Asgardian citizens, until a future date, to be determined, at which point all civilians (perhaps by some predetermined measure) will receive a certain portion of the currency, and at which point it will go to market, with the other cryptocurrencies and thereby generating its value), but its main control should be held by Asgardia, in the form of its civilian body, and not just hoarded by the few.  It can be controlled in such a way as to ensure its acquiring roughly stable value, akin to the current socio– economic systems of the world, and it will thereby evolve, just like anything else.

I move that we initiate the above two policies, as soon as is realistically possible, so that our democratic system can be a shining beacon of light, for an otherwise dark and gloomy world, and our economy can serve to benefit all active citizens, to the greatest extent. A vote for me is a vote for forward-moving, outside-of-the-box thinking, with an acceptance that we are not alone in the universe, and that we can be a part of something much bigger, as soon as we, collectively, agree that it's worth of our accomplishment. One species, united by peace and the altruistic pursuit of betterment.  It is time for humanity to overcome its disappointing history, to strive for the betterment of all, and for our pending exopolitical inclusion .

Disclosure and (an undeniably, globally acknowledged) First Contact are also of the utmost importance, to know with certainty that we are not alone in this universe (the latter concept being, IMHO, quite ridiculous and statistically improbable). Frankly, I believe that there may even be intelligent life existing within this very solar system.

People are, quite simply, no longer mentally bound to state–sanctioned, fear–based propaganda about extraterrestrials or "aliens," but are now both curious, and frankly accepting of the high likelihood that First Contact is right around the corner. More and more people are admitting that they believe there has been a long–standing effort to cover up the fact that peoples from other planets, from other civilizations, from other regions of the galaxy/ universe have even been interacting with humanity for tens of thousands of years, if not considerably longer. People no longer seem to think of First Contact in terms of abductions, or as the Hollywood–esque "aliens coming to steal all of our precious resources" (sarcasm intended). Humanity seems to be more rational, more open–minded, viewing this as an integral part of our collective evolution.

At the same time, the evidence is piling up that we are not alone, and that we never really have been.  It is an exciting time to be alive (the unfortunate, mundane reality of corporate bills, consumerism, and financial extortion aside), as we may be on the verge of finding our place in the local, galactic... neighbourhood.  We stand at the very precipice of potentially great change, where our energy and environmental problems may finally have a hope of being solved, concurrently with novel propulsion systems, and the potential access to a plethora of shared information from our pending allies.

It is thusly that candidates should have some understanding of exopolitics , and be aware of the ongoing, legitimate efforts at disclosure, by some of the highest ranking individuals in the Earth's governmental and military–industrial institutions.

I have had troubles reaching you, my potential voters, for whatever reason, but I have posted two referendum petitions today for the consideration of all Asgardian citizens.

As such, I hope to address the issues of time in elections, and the Asgardian cryptocurrency, SOLAR, both of which I have written blog posts about.


To recapitulate and briefly mention the topics of these petitions:

1.  The major issue that I see with our electoral process is TIME.  Specifically, candidates who applied first have had more time to collect votes.  As much as this may seem like a motivator to get people to submit their applications quickly, it is actually an unfair, default condition.  I, myself, did not even consider running for Parliament until it had already been open for a month, and then I suffered delays due to upload issues and a general computer failure.  As such, I have lost much critical time (two months worth), and my "competition" has benefited.

Frankly, this election seems to be less about ability, and more about a) how quickly a candidate signed up, and b) their ability to be seen via social media.  That makes it a popularity contest, rather than a fair and unbiased election.  This is something that we, as citizens, will have to address for future elections, but which will ultimately determine the outcome of our first parliamentary election, which may shape the course of Asgardia itself.  So, it is a crucial issue.

2.  The Asgardian cryptocurrency, aptly named SOLAR , should be reserved for Asgardian citizens.  It is inevitable that it will have to be made available on the open market, in order for its value to increase (and for it to be worth anything), but, in the interim, citizens of Asgardia should be the only ones able to mine and hold SOLAR currency, until we can agree on exactly how to handle our financial affairs.  Simple allowing anyone to mine and own SOLAR at this nexus in time creates a dismal future circumstance, one where citizens will be forced to purchase SOLAR at a premium from individuals and institutions who have, themselves, mined our currency.

This serves, in effect, to render our currency open to the corruption and whims of the open market, right from the start, thereby creating inequity, where Asgardia must serve as a prime example of a free and sovereign nation.  We must make all possible efforts to prevent the status quo from winding its way into our society, choking out the light like a nonnative weed, lacking control measures, and disrupting the natural order/ equilibrium of the system (I'm an accredited herbalist, so I truly mean this)... and conventional/ traditional financial agents/ institutions are themselves very much like weeds, or viruses.  They choke out the competition and exist solely to serve themselves.  We cannot allow this to happen to Asgardia.  We must stand guard and be prepared to cut out the vines before they choke us, financially.


Thus, there are two critical issues that must be addressed by the current governmental body, namely the default disadvantage of time in the election process, and the real and existing threat of financial organizations taking control of our national currency, before we do.
