All our dreams, all our motives, and all possibilities of our future (What techs? Why techs? Whose techs?) boils down to one crucial question:
What is our purpose?

–Who will go to space? (For example, if humans get replaced by AIs, and AIs go to space, what's the point of doing that? AIs could do whatever they want; but what's the point for all those things to be done with no subjective observers existing?

Our greatest threat comes within, and comes within ourselves –the Existential Crisis –but with nukes and virtual reality "heavens".

The human society is already facing a severe existential crisis right now. According to statistics from the WHO, more than 300 million people globally are now suffering from depression. If the problem is already so serious now on Earth, just imagine how high the depression rate would be like when humans colonize space, and get contained inside a spaceship floating in the void in the middle of nowhere.
在当前的人类社会，已经开始产生巨大的存在主义危机。据世界卫生组织估计，当前世界上有三亿多人患抑郁症。如果在地球上问题都这么严重；难以想象当人类移民太空时，困在宇宙飞船这种无依无靠漂泊在虚空中的牢笼中，抑郁症发病率将有多高。
Now that the satellite Asgardia-1 has been successfully launched, you might be over-optimistic and think that we can colonize Alpha Centauri very soon. Then I have bad news for you: please calculate the energy and time needed for such a trip, and you’ll realize that you could either go there on a 10,000-year trip, or get there within 50 years but pay the energy as high as several Jupiters. (And we must make the space-travel fast enough to ensure connectivity between our colonies; only then can we be called a space civilization. Or else, we’re no more than "cancer cells" scattered everywhere who only want to propagate.) You might think that we are making huge progresses in nuclear fusion. Yes, that is true; but our current huge-progress is only nothing compared to what we need to fuel reasonable space-trips.

At the current speed of progress in nuclear fusion, we should be realistic and get prepared for the worst case scenario where interstellar-grade ultra-performance nuclear fusion cannot be achieved within the next 500 years. What would happen if you possess all the knowledge and power, know very well about your current situation, but cannot do anything within your lifetime or even several lifetimes to make any significant breakthroughs? There would be grave danger that humanity become stagnant, be it a second dark age, a nuclear world war, or simply with most of the individuals escaping reality into some kind of "heavenly" computer simulation.

The cure to our current problems should not be medication and therapy. And definitely not a 'brave new world' or a society governed by a Sibyl system like that in the anime Psycho-pass. Even if we managed to achieve happiness through those means, it is false happiness. The true cure to our existential crisis is to find practical ways and fulfill humanity's biggest dreams, including space colonization.

Let's take the following example as comparison:
Suppose a man got depressed because he is a terrible CEO and his company is struggling. He goes to the doctor, and the doctor prescribed him with some pills and therapy. He became happy. But the true problem is still not solved. He and his company are still failures. But here's the true solution: Teach him the art of management and help him out of temporary financial hardships.

This still rings true if we apply it to the entire humanity. Therefore, my election slogan is "build our selves before our ships", not "have a beautiful soul before a beautiful ship". –Although this is a quest for purpose, it should be fulfilled through practical and solid technology, so that every single individual can objectively (not just subjectively) live a life that values.
放大到全人类的范围内，也是这个道理。因此，我的竞选口号是“欲建设飞船，必先建设我们自己”而不是“欲拥有美丽飞船，必先拥有美丽心灵”。——尽管这是一场对于意义的探寻，但必须通过坚实的技术来实现。让每一个人在客观上（而不仅仅是主观上）都能够活得有价值。

This is how technological development will be like: We'll soon achieve major breakthroughs; these breakthroughs will not be sufficient enough for us to become super civilizations, but enough for us to destroy ourselves. We'll be facing that kind of slop-sided "double edge sword". A new order will emerge soon; and very likely, it will solidify within the next hundreds of years. Once it is solidified, it would be very hard to change it. Therefore, we need a "blitzkrieg" right at the beginning to set the tone for a correct development path, and to prevent us from falling onto the wrong track. After that, there would be a "protracted war", where we need to work together and overcome all kinds of hardship; fight constantly till one day, hundreds of years after we're dead, that interstellar-grade ultra-performance nuclear fusion is realized.

If I am elected, I will do my best to promote participation of Asgardian citizens in the Chinese District.

What we need is an engine that can send us to the nearest star within a 50-year trip. To achieve this, we need an ultra-performance nuclear fusion reactor. High temperature superconductive materials are also needed. We might need an Alcubierre Drive.

What I tend to achieve by these technologies is a tool to support individuals, not a tyrannical system that controls people. For example, if someone is told by the system that her genes make her unsuitable to become a physicist, but she is determined to become a physicist; now that she is determined, the system shall have no right to discourage her. Instead, it should do its best to find the best paths for her become a good physicist. After all, inherited factors are not the only factors that determine what someone can be.

More importantly, we need to make sure that these technologies are used to serve humanity, and to serve the reality. These techs shall not become tools for humans to escape from their responsibilities or from reality.

It will be such a shame if the human civilization collapsed due to environmental problems before interstellar drives are successfully built. Moreover, we seek to colonize space not because we want to escape Earth; we are only seeking to expand humanity's limits, and we still need to be responsible for the environment on Earth.

Through the application of advanced technologies of humanity, by humanity, and for humanity, we shall seek to create a society where everyone has the freedom to establish his/her purpose, and the AI/big data tools to find best paths to fulfilling his/her purpose; where everyone's purpose can be recognized, valued, respected, and appreciated; and where everyone's purpose can really contribute to the wellbeing and progress of humanity.
