Greetings fellow Asgardians,

As a being living on this planet we call Earth, I have always felt like I was not a citizen of a so-called country, but rather of a whole. In a world where the quest of power strives within the veins of our nations, it is crucial that we do not take this destructive trait we have developed along with us through this new era of human evolution. What some might consider to be a new beginning will only succeed if we take it as is. Whilst making sure we have learned from past mistakes in order not to replicate any deceitful patterns, it is essential that we leave the past to what it is, along with all of its moral and cultural prejudices, and march hand in hand towards this new hope.

My first concern is aimed at the very root of this project. Although I understand the origin of the name Asgardia, the fact that it is referred to as a “kingdom” bothers me. As a word which can’t help but to make us think of power, monarchy and overall hierarchy in every aspect, it is almost antonymous to the term “democracy”. Although (at least for now), any child born on Earth will be given citizenship of an existing terrestrial country, I think we should not rush any term that limits the extent of any Asgardian principle (since they have yet to be chosen by its people). Even the term nation seems a bit unsure as this is an entirely new concept (which in my mind does not belong with any pre-existing one), although the fact that Asguardia is willing to integrate the United Nations is arguably enough reason to call it that. An existing broader term such as “community” could also be used but I am of course open to any suggestions on this topic.

Hello Asgardians!

I will begin by telling you that my english isn't very good but i'm working on it.

I have spent few hours reading terms and THE Constitution of Asgardia.

WOW! It seems so simple to make a wonderfull world! Everything we need is already written! What i think about this project is "we will probably never see space but, maybe our children or theirs will... And if they can live in space or on another celestial body, i want them to be Asgardian. During my life, i want to see this project growing and become an example for our planet."

I'm not a scientist but i'm curious; i love science.

I've red an article in a scientist magazine about Asgardia's project.

Maybe i'm just an industrial maintenance technician but i think that everyone can change the world, be a part of something bigger and great.

And i would like to be a part of the best initiative of humans for centuries!

We want to define us by a constitution, a bunch of forums, fine. But in the end, if we ever want this nation to be recognized internationally, and to work together as a whole, there has to be a reason for that. There must be a reason why a country would want to interact with a bunch of random people (no offense).

In my opinion, while the ultimate goals are recognition through peace and science, we have to start somewhere. And to start anything nowadays, you need some money, if only so that people representing us can do so more that a spare hour here or there, and that this website can stay and grow over time. So what we need to start the most is to kickstart an economy. Trade. Commerce. Exchanging things.

I am a physicist and an engineer, and I would like to be elected to be an active voice kickstarting this wonderful concept that Asgardia is. I would really like Asgardia to have the means to live up to its ideals we're all here for!

I always believe in the opportunity to create something bigger, something different from what we have.

Today as a new Asgardian, I want to change things and with my work and what I do every day, I know that I can become a great ambassador and even a good minister for this nation.

I will devote myself to ensure the development and the perennity of this Nation. To be sure that Asgardians around the world can express themselves, and have rights like every nation around the world.

I hope you will give me your trust and your vote, so we can build this great Nation, and let the peoples and species of all the universe heard our voices.

That's a photo of us, our planet from the edge of our solar system, We could seems infinitely little compared to the attonishing vastness of the universe and indeed we are, but inside us, we can touch and grasp the infinity.

My name is Marco Genovese and I'm 23 years old space passionate industrial engineer,  Being honest, the first time I saw Asgardia I thought it was a joke, but once i read the aim of our country and its values, i immediatly changed my mind; and now seeing the progresses that we made in this time i decided that i want to participate more actively in Asgardians life, because i believe in this project and i believe in humanity, in its power to create a just and equal society based on knowledge and self-expression.

Seing the enourmous diversity that identify our community, I think i would be a good representant, speaking on a mothertongue level: Italian, french, english and spanish and with a medium level on german and russian.

If someone decides to believe in me, as we all believed in Asgardia, i promess i will do my best to ensure the progress of Asgardia to his ultimate aim and its international recognition.

As humans we came from a random evolution process that took billions of years to take place but I think that what we really are is: The universe that become conscius of itself.
