Hello, When I discovered Asgardia any months ago I was realy enthousiastic and I decided to be in. Nevertheless when I see it's going always more fast I have to ask somethings before confirming my asgardian citizenship. Are we sure by becoming asgardian to keep our actual citizenship? I read some articles and because Asgardia is new, constitution is very poor so wich protections are planned? Personnaly I am french, what will happen if my country recognize Asgardia as an independant state? Is there any risks for me to become asgardian ? Thank you

In many languages, depending on the gender and pluralization we will derivate the base "Asgardia" into several possibilities. For instance, in French we will have: - "Asgardien" for male - "Asgardiens" for multiple males/females - "Asgardienne" for female - "Asgardiennes" for females If this example, it's pretty straight-forward. But in other languages there may be several choices and the goal is to define, for each language, what wording we should use. I came accross this question sooner, how should be called "Asgardians", meaning the people who belong "in" Asgardia. I'm pretty sure every language has its own way to name people based on their country of origin. I think we should clarify the term we're using for each language, it may be common sense in some language, but maybe not so much in others and an official naming should be selected then. Hello everyone. I'm just getting started as a translator and I have a few feedback to give. I don't know if this is the place to do so, but since it's related to the translation only, I feel like it belongs here. 1. I applied for the role and I knew I was supposed to get a positive answer within 5 days (or no answer at all, or maybe I'm confused with another role I've applied to), but I didn't get any, I just saw my "title" has changed in the forum, but I wasn't noticed anyhow. It felt a bit weird to be honest. And I didn't really know what to do. I remembered the day later I was supposed to have access to another part of the forum, but I had forgotten until then. 2. The translation of **Asgardia Forum Rules** feels a bit disorganized. There are two topics when there could be just one, and no list of what has been done, we basically have to go through each comment, in two separated topics. There should be a list of what has been translated, I guess it's not useful to make a list of what hasn't, there would be too many languages. 3. Reading the rules, I wasn't sure I should send the translation at adminteam@asgardia.space or rather post the translation in the forum, I doubted, so I did both. I don't see the point of doing both, just posting on the forum should be enough, what if someone notice mistakes and I update it in the forum? The email version would be outdated. 4. Overall, the forum is not a good tool for translation. I strongly suggest we use something else, like Github. It's free and there we will be able to have one folder for "Asgardia Forum Rules" with one file for each langage, apply changes, discuss about it, etc. Here it feels raw and hard to communicate about changes. Github uses Markdown, therefore we could also use styling like bold, italic, links, etc. We could see both the source and the rendered version. I know Asgardia already has a Github domain at https://github.com/asgardia (I'm assuming it belong to the staff), we could simply setup a new project and start using it. We could use Github Issues to tell who's working on what, and discuss there about using X or Y in whatever context. I can setup such project if needed. I know we're working on automated tools to have integrated translation, but Github could still be useful for preparing overall communication in advance, for instance. (like emails, etc.) 5. It may be good to have some kind of community within translators, using an app like "Discord" to chat/voice with other people, greeting new ones, mentoring, etc. (Discord is just a personal preference, there are other choices) I hope this gives you some insights and helps improving our coordination altogether. J'ouvre ce topic pour les idées et pensé qu'on ne saurait pas traduire en anglais pour les autres. (Et forcément, j'en ai une.) Je viens de réfléchir a notre système économique. Et je me rend compte qu'on est dans les problèmes jusqu'au cou a cause du fonctionnement actuel de l'économie. Mais pourquoi? -Le principe de monnaie est il mauvais en soit? Non, la "monnaie" est un échange, un troc avec intermédiaire. Cet intermédiaire est l'objet qu'on récupére ou donne en échange de bien ou de service. En soit, la monnaie n'est pas mauvaise, que ce soit l'euro, le dollars ou le yen. -L'utilisation? Là, c'est un autres débat. Mais majoritairement, l'utilisation n'est pas mauvaise, vu que seul ce qui en découle est mauvais. C'est une question de point de vu et quoi qu'on dise, tout n'est pas achetable avec l'argent. Alors quoi? Je dirais que notre principale probléme est le fonctionnement de l'argent et surtout de sa création. Les états du monde ont commit une erreur monumentale: Ils ont laisser les banques gérer l'argent de A à Z. Comment ça? En les laissant créer l'argent par des principe virtuel. Oui, ceux qui crée l'argent sont actuellement et uniquement les banques. Mais comment? Car le premier contre argument est que les banques n'imprime pas de billet. Et c'est vrai. C'est réservé a la banque de fond monétaire européen ou américaine. Alors comment les banques crée l'argent? Et bien, c'est extrêmement bête, mais par les dettes. Quand vous vous mettez a découvert sur votre compte, vous créez de l'argent. Quand une entreprise vend ses actions, elle crée une dette, elle crée de l'argent en adéquation avec les banques. (Je vous conseil d'aller voir Heu?reka, il explique bien mieux que moi.) Mais alors, comment se préserver de ce soucis? Comment faire en sorte que l'état puisse réguler les flux monétaires et les banques? Déjà, nous ne pouvons pas fixer notre monnaie sur les ressources finit qui se trouve sur la terre. Surtout dans notre cas: Nous somme une nation qui désire s'établir dans l'espace... Pour éviter le "tout pouvoir" de l'argent, nous devons prendre en considération que l'argent doit, comme tout, être finit, avoir une limite. Pourquoi? Parce que nous ne sommes pas immortel et que rien ne l'est, il faut l'assumer et l'accepter. Mais ceci n'est pas la seul raison. Dans le cas où pour nous, l'argent est illimité, ça signifie que malgré la perte de sa force (de sa valeur), l'argent et le principe de possession est lui même illimité et que donc une personne peu finir par cumuler assez d'argent pour tout contrôler, ce qui se passe aujourd'hui, si mon raisonnement n'est pas faux. Mais rien n'est immuable. Aussi, je propose une alternative possible, une chose a laquelle j'ai longuement réfléchit. Je ne suis pas spécialiste, donc, je fais surement plein d'erreur monumental. Mais j'assume mes pensées. Commençons: Trois catégorie de produit: La première est la plus importante: Les bien de nécessité: Ce sont les premières nécessité de toute personne, de tout moment. Par là, j’entends les nécessités primaires: -Logement -Eau -Nourriture (nécessité de base) -Sécurité -Santé -Vêtement -déplacement nécessaire. -Électricité -Internet (Devenu nécessaire par l'utilisation extrêmement courante faite aujourd'hui, permettant de relier tout le monde.) Dans le cas de ces éléments, la plupart nécessite un salaire. Lorsqu'on n'a plus les moyens d'avoir ceci, nous n'obtenons plus rien (SDF) et somme mit a l'écart de la société. Ce que je propose n'est pas de fournir a foison ces éléments. Ce serait totalement illogique. Mais de fournir les éléments de première nécessité. Pourquoi? Parce que nous avons tous des besoins extrêmement différent. Intel aura une très bonne résistance immunitaire et pourra boire n'importe quel eau, mais ne supportera pas de ne pas être lié a sa demoiselle dans un autre pays, alors que le voisin a besoin de plus manger. Là apparait la seconde catégorie: Les compléments aux nécessités: Cette partie sera payante, nécessitera donc un salaire et donc obligera a travailler si l'on désire plus que le strict nécessaire. -Divertissement -Surplus de nourriture -Surplus d'eau (piscine, etc...) etc etc... Ces compléments doivent permettre au bonheur tout en permettant aux personnes d'avoir du temps pour eux. Nous travaillons pour vivre, non pas vivre pour travailler. (Sauf exception.) Enfin, la dernière catégorie: Les surplus. Par là, j’entends les choses qui ne sont pas spécialement nécessaire. -Bijoux -Art (Achat d'oeuvre d'art, j'entends...) -Véhicule personnel -Luxe -Friandise -Soin de la personne etc. Pourquoi catégoriser ceci? Parce qu'actuellement, tout est mit dans le même panier dans l'idée que l'homme sait s'auto réguler et ne profitera pas des faiblesses de son prochain (ce que l'on sait faux, vu les dégâts actuel sur toutes les sociétés.) Il est clair que dit comme ça, ça parait simple. Mais déjà, un soucis apparait: Comment mettre en place ceci? Comment préparer une tel chose? Nous sommes actuellement dans une société de consommation immédiate. Je ne dit pas que c'est mal, nous avons toujours (ou du moins très longtemps) vécu de la sorte, nous et nos ancêtres. Mais aujourd'hui, la technologie nous permet d'aller plus loin. Nous pouvons prévoir, planifier ou préparer. Pourquoi ne pas mettre en place un principe de planification et de préparation? Qu'est ce à dire? Et bien, en soit vous le faite quand vous faites vos courses: Vous faite une liste pour la semaine. Pourquoi ne pas le faire en proposant la liste de course au caissier qui prépare les ressources pour la semaine qui suit? Lentement, nous apprendront, en prime, a moins gâcher, car nous prépareront a l'avance les ressources et éléments vendu. Je sais déjà que ça impactera les entreprises: Je connais le principe de courbe d'exploitation ou de cout/profit d'un produit lors de sa production. Mais justement, n'est il pas temps de pousser le concepts plus loin, de le faire évoluer? Voila comment ça fonctionnerait: Le client (vous, moi, x.) viens au magasin avec la liste de surplus qui l'intéresse pour la semaine prochaine. La liste de surplus viens compléter et remplacer certains éléments basique (créer en adéquation avec des experts dans le domaine et l'état.) Les magasins recevant donc une séries de listes peuvent compiler ces listes pour savoir ce qui leur faut. ainsi, ils peuvent envoyer les compilations aux différentes entreprises pour pouvoir faire des commandes de masses précises. L'usine reçois et peut donc créer les éléments demander en demandant a son tour une quantité précises de choses aux fournisseurs, qui eux même ont une liste précises... etc etc... jusqu'aux ressources premières. Si pas assez dans un domaines, une alternative est toujours possible. Et ceci est faisable sur tout les plans, techniquement. N'allez pas croire que je suis certains de mon coup. Actuellement, ce qu'on croit être une science précise (l'économie) est en réalité une science complétement inconnu et n'est même pas une science, mais une philosophie. Hello everyone. :) I'm a young man from France (26) who currently works as a web developer (and passionate about it). I live in Paris as of now. I must say I'm really excited about Asgardia and I want to help build and grow our community. I currently have applied as web dev and EN/FR translator. I'm atheist, but I do respect others opinion on that matter. I strongly believe religion is the biggest worldwide lie ever and is the easy answer of all the things we don't believe yet, but I'm open-minded enough to allow myself a doubt about it! :) Anyway, as I like to say, religious people are the luckiest! I wonder if it is planned to publish an API to get access to Asgardians data. I can tell such thing would be quite useful in order for Asguardian developers to make dedicated softwares and tools based on such API, for Asgardians. With a public yet secured API, the community could build many things like: 1. Statistics based on gender, user rank (admin, mod, translator, ...), country, spoken languages, jobs, etc. 1. Allow access to specific tools to registered Asgardians only. 1. Location of Asguardian close to us, physically. Allowing the creation of local groups with people who share the same passion about Asgardia. 1. A system to vote up/down the next community's projects to be built. 1. So many other things. Of course, with an API comes several questions like: 1. What about security? Who would be allowed to fetch those data? (Registered Asgardians only IMO) 1. What data would be public to any Asgardia and what would be private? Therefore requiring manual user validation for an app to have access to such information (like the location or real name) 1. Should the data be read-only? _(I believe so for starter)_ The question is not much about "Should an API be created"? I believe **it must be created**. I also strongly believe it **must be though trough and properly secured**. What are your thoughts on this?

Many of us have proposed their services to the Asgardia community. We have been told to send an email to X address, or apply there or there, send a C.V, etc. But so far, and after more than a month I still haven't got any feedback about all of this. Some of it was done by email, FB PM, forum, etc. It would be nice to have a place to follow our applications and I'm pretty sure you thought (meaning, the Staff) of it already. I understand there may be thousands of such applications due to the huge amount of Asgardians, but what I've seen so far is a lot of unused people who wish to participate more and be helpful. So, what do you plan for handling that many applications? How are you planning to give us feedback? More basically, how would you improve this?

Hello Asgardian, As I already mentionned in the fb asgardian constition group, we should make a github or something like that to follow the evolution of our constition better, apply new ideas, etc.... For example, some French people did an attempt on civil code, but didn't maintained it (https://github.com/steeve/france.code-civil).

Hello Asgardians, I would like to ask, is there any sort of lands we could aquire on Earth to start our country. Space conquest is not ready yet, and resupplying it, as well as welcoming Asgardians (we are not going to space for a some decades). Some lands for every Asgradians ? As every democratic country, we will need to vote, and I feel concerned about helping to figure out how to allow every one to vote, securely. We have some issues to resolve: - Authentication, how to authenticate ? - Integrity, how to secure my vote? As you know, every one has a unique ID, but how to know if the voter is really who he say he is, and has not been "spoofed" ? We should discuss about technologies we can/should use here. For example, using blockchain, physical card to authenticate, SSL certificates....
