As modern technology advances but our planets resources are running out the way we are poluting the environment, and therefor eachother has the rational and moral need to change course. Space therefor has become more relevant than ever before, it provides us a better way of communicating, networking and cross-level collaborating through different parties. However the question remains if we need to restore our balance on earth first before we explore further.

Planet Earth

According to the history books planet Earth, or Gaia in Greek mythology exists for over 4.51 billion years. That is a number that you and I cannot comprehend throughout these years, the earth has therefor experienced drastic changes, from the Ice age which has happened around approximately 2,6 million years ago to our current environmental pollution, higher carbon dioxide levels, decrease biodiversity just to name a few. Humanity however exists for over 200.000 years whereby our civilisation as we know only is 6.000 years old. In fact humanity has and have been speeding up the process of global warming, which in the coming years will only rise even more, according to Nature Climate Change (NCC) the recent temperature increase are also tied to an increase number of suicide rates which is hard to grasp, to anticipate on this rise we have to look at alternative resources cause the numbers don't lie. Space 4.0

According to the World Economic Forum (WEF) the start of the so called Space Age began in 1957. Throughout the times different other corporations and organisations such as Elon Musk - SpaceX and Richard Branson - Virgin Galactic have been emerged and more and more are coming to be a promising market. The European Space Agency (ESA) calls this evolution Space 4.0 whereby Space 1.0 stands for astronomy that we are still using today to analyse space for as far as we can observe. Space 2.0 the race when different nations where in competition for the moon landings, Space 3.0 became more of a unity of an international space station for example the ISS and Space 4.0 according to The European Space Agency (ESA) will be an establishment of an United Europe in Space for the benifits of citizens and the European economy to also compete with other nations, private companies, academia and other space actors in the coming decades.

History

Since a young age I've always been fascinated about space, as a kid I remembered that I could watch the stars for hours at night exploring satelites, planes and falling stars. An inspring quote that fascinated me through my research, life and to explore those uknown boundaries in general is a quote from the famous Greek philosopher Socrates an individual who had a great influence on the western philosophy in general, I quote: "Man must rise above the Earth - to the top of the atmosphere and beyond - for only thus he will fully understand the world in which he lives" - Socrates 400 BC. According to the history books Plato; a student of Socrates was one of the individuals that followed his philosphy in combination with the wisdom and knowledge of philosopher and scientist Aristoteles. Inspiring humanity to think different, evolve and connect was the message they where spreading. "Knowing that I know nothing" I think is a vulnerable but powerfull statement to enter the unknown universe as an united humanity with all it's imperfections included.

Viele Hände - ein Ziel.

Ich möchte anhand eines weiteren Projektes, an dem ich teilnehme, zeigen, wie viele Hände ein einziges Ziel verfolgen können.

Das SETI Projekt (Suche nach Außerirdischen intelligenz), sucht mithilfe von Radioteleskopen den Nachthimmel u.a. nach Fast Radio Bursts, um eventuell Intelligentes Leben außerhalb unseres Planetaren Systems zu finden.

Die Datenmengen, die die Radioteleskope der Welt sammeln, sind absurd groß. Um diese Daten zu verarbeiten, arbeitet SETI mit der BIONIC Software. Diese Software kann man sich kostenlos runterladen, und es erlaubt einem Teil eines großen Netzwerks von Rechnern zu werden. SETI schickt dann seine Daten zu den Weltweit an das BIONIC Netzwerk. Dieses Netzwerk operiert tatsächlich wie der größte Supercomputer der Welt.

Wissenschaftler, Lehrer, Studenten, und viele Menschen mit großem Intresse an astronomischer Forschung nehmen Teil an diesem Projekt.

Was können wir Asgardias daraus lernen?

Ich lese immer häufiger, und vor allem im Facebook: Kommentare die häufig sehr Kritisch sind, Behauptungen die Aufgestellt werden, aber nicht überprüf. Aber ich sehe auch den starken Wunsch nach mehr Partizipation.

Ich sehe das Projekt einer Asgardia Akademie als eine Möglichkeit unsere Ressourcen und Interessen zu bündeln. Sie bietet die Ideale Plattform, für viele von euch eine aktivere Rolle zu spielen. Entweder beim Aufbau der Akademie, oder später bspw. durch das Leiten von Kursen.

Ich hoffe, ich konnte euch zum Nachdenken anregen.

Many hands - one goal.
I would like to show, with the help of another project in which I participate, how many hands can pursue a single goal.

The SETI project (search for extraterrestrial intelligence) uses radio telescopes to search the night sky and others. after Fast Radio Bursts, to find possibly Intelligent Life outside our planetary system.

The amount of data collected by radio telescopes in the world is absurdly large. To process this data, SETI works with the BIONIC software. This software can be downloaded for free, and it allows to become part of a large network of computers. SETI then sends its data to the worldwide BIONIC network. In fact, this network operates like the largest supercomputer in the world.

Scientists, teachers, students, and many people with a great interest in astronomical research are taking part in this project.

What can we learn from Asgardias?

I read more often, and especially in Facebook: Comments that are often very critical, claims that are put up, but not checked. But I also see a strong desire for more participation.

I see the project of an Asgardia Academy as a way to bundle our resources and interests. It provides the ideal platform to play a more active role for many of you. Either during the construction of the academy, or later, for example, by leading courses

The first hurdle.

We are Asgard - but who are we?

We come from all over the world, speak different languages, we live different lives, and we have very different experiences.

A person from a rather dry land may have the knowledge of good irrigation methods, a person with access to nearly limitless power resources might know how to easily generate electricity. But it's not just these resources that we need to learn to share.

It is also our cultures that we can bring closer to others. Our cultures are made up of many points. History, language, traditions, and art in a comprehensive sense.

Universities and acedemies have always been a hub for knowledge, but also for culture.

I stand with my program for the realization of a free Academy for Asgardians.

Help me to help us. Because our greatest resources are ourselves. With all our knowledge, our experience, and the culture we carry with us.

Die erste Hürde.

Wir sind Asgard - doch wer sind wir?

Wir kommen aus der ganzen Welt, sprechen unterschiedliche Sprachen, wir leben unterschiedliche Leben, und machen ganz unterschiedliche Erfahrungen.

Ein Mensch aus einem eher trockenem Land hat vielleicht das Wissen über gute Bewässerungsmethoden, ein Mensch mit Zugang zu nahezu grenzenlosen Stromrecourcen weiß vielleicht, wie man leicht Strom generiert. Aber es sind nicht nur diese Recourcen, die wir teilen lernen müssen.

Es sind auch unsere Kulturen, die wir den anderen näher bringen können. Unsere Kulturen bestehen aus vielen Punkten. Der Geschichte, der Sprache, den Traditionen, und der Kunst im umfassenden sinn.

Universtäten und Akedemien sind seid der Antike immer schon umschlagsplatz für Wissen, aber auch für Kultur gewesen.

Ich stehe mit meinem Programm für die Realisierung einer für Asgardians kostenlosen Akademie.

Helfen sie mir, uns zu helfen. Denn unsere größte Ressourcen sind wir selbst. Mit all unserem Wissen, unserer Erfahrung, und der Kultur, die wir mit uns tragen.

Requirements for an academy

To illustrate the complexity of requirements for an academy, we need to take a closer look at the goals.

I stand with my program for the possibility of free education within Asgardias.

To reach these goals many hands are necessary, but also a good plan.

When we look at existing and past academies, we always have a fixed place and a time to impart knowledge. Normally it`s a university complex that accommodates the various faculties.

However, since we are not bound by these premises and can gather and communicate our knowledge worldwide, we have the unique opportunity to establish structures cost-effectively.

In general, an academy consists of a rector, an academic senate, a deanery, student palament. Faculty council, and a general student committee.

This complicated structure seems rather rigid and counterproductive in this case. For both teachers and students.

The hierarchical arrangement is important here. I think that at the present time, and with our aim, a rather flatter hierarchy, with different decentralized and central decision-making bodies are important.

Due to the possibility of an online academy, global aspects must also be included. Many content can be conveyed through podcasts and videocasts. But also conference lessons are possible here. The technology gives us a lot of leeway, which we can also use for research.

If we manage to reach a prestigious online academy, we are one step closer to our goal.

Anforderungen an eine Akademie

Um die Komplexität an Anforderungen für eine Akademie zu veranschaulichen, müssen wir uns die Ziele einmal näher anschauen.

Ich stehe mit meinem Programm für die Möglichkeit der kostenlosen Bildung innerhalb Asgardias.

Um diese Ziele zu erreichen sind viele Hände notwendig, aber auch ein guter Plan.

Wenn wir auf bestehende, und vergangene Akademien blicken, haben wir immer einen festgelegten Ort, und eine Zeit um Wissen zu vermitteln. In der Regel ist dies ein Universitätskomplex welches die verschiedenen Fakultäten unterbringt.

Da wir jedoch nicht an diese Prämissen gebunden sind, und weltweit unser Wissen zusammentragen und vermitteln können, haben wir die einmalige Gelegenheit kostengünstig die Strukturen zu etablieren.

Im groben besteht eine Akademie aus einem Rektor, einem Akademischen Senat, einem Dekanat, Studierendenpalament. Fakultätsrat, und einem allgemeinen Studierendenausschuss.

Die Hierarchische Anordnung ist hierbei wichtig. Ich denke, dass in der heutigen Zeit, und mit unserem Ziel eine eher flachere Hierarchie, mit verschiedenen dezentralen und Zentralen Entscheidungsstellen wichtig sind.

Dieser komplizierte Aufbau erscheint aber in diesem Fall eher starr und kontraproduktiv. Sowohl für Lehrer, als auch für Schüler.

Durch die Möglichkeit einer Online Akademie, müssen auch Globale Aspekte mit einbezogen werden. Viele Inhalte können durch Pod-, und Videocasts vermittelt werden. Aber auch Konferenzunterricht ist hier möglich. Die Technik gibt uns viel Spielraum, den wir auch für die Forschung nutzen können.

Wenn wir es schaffen eine angesehene Online Akademie zu erreichten, sind wir einen schritt näher an unserem Ziel.

Warum ist mir das Thema Bildung so wichtig?

In meinem Programm zur parlamentarischen Wahl habe ich euch in kurzem meine Idee zur Umsetzung einer Asgardian Akademie geschildert. In meinem Blogeintrag hierzu möchte ich euch genaueres über die Hintergründe, und dem Konzept erzählen, euch aber auch meine persönlichen Motive näher bringen.

Die Asgardian Akademie fasst im wesentlichen einige Ideen aus dem Bereich der Bildung zusammen, dessen Umsetzung schwierig, aber notwendig sind.

Um ein Ziel zu erreichen muss eine klare Zielsetzung erfolgen. Wenn sie mich wählen, werde ich mit allen Mitteln die Gründung einer Akademie vorantreiben.
Die Akademie soll zum einen unsere Wissensressourcen bündeln, um Zukünftige Projekte zu erleichtern und die eigene Forschung voran zu treiben, zum anderen aber jedem Asgardian die Möglichkeit zu geben in den jeweiligen Fachbereichen Kurse zu belegen.

Sie sollte kostenfrei für Einwohner Asgardias sein, und neben wirtschaftlichen, wissenschaftlichen, und rechtlichen Themen, auch Themen wie Kultur behandeln.

Doch was bringt uns das auf dauer?

Heute ist Asgardia mit rund 120.000 Einwohnern die 174 größte Nation der Welt.
Neben unzähligen Sprachen, treffen hier unzählige verschiedene Kulturen aufeinander. Es ist nicht nur die sprachliche Barriere, sondern auch die kulturelle, die einen Grundpfeiler unserer Zusammenarbeit bildet.

Durch kostenlose Bildung mit breitem Angebot stärken wir unsere wichtigste Ressource - unsere Einwohner.

In my paliamentary election program, I briefly described my idea for implementing an Asgardian Academy. In my blog entry, I would like to tell you more about the background, and the concept, but also bring you closer to my personal motives.

The Asgardian Academy basically sums up some education ideas that are difficult but necessary to implement.

To achieve a goal, a clear objective must be set. If you choose me, I will use all means to promote the foundation of an Akedmie.
On the one hand, the academy should bundle our knowledge resources in order to facilitate future projects and to advance our own research, but on the other hand to give each Asgardian the opportunity to take courses in the respective subject areas.

It should be free of charge for residents of Asgardia, and deal with issues such as culture in addition to economic, scientific, and legal issues.

But what does that bring us in the long run?

Today, Asgardia is the 174 largest nation in the world with around 120,000 inhabitants.
In addition to countless languages, countless different cultures meet here. It is not only the language barrier, but also the cultural one that forms a cornerstone of our cooperation.

Free education with a wide range of offerings strengthens our most important resource - our inhabitants.
