Agreed we need to create an income to in turn be used to finance the things that are important to us, such as space stations, asteroid mining, interplanetary travel and many other things. I'd like to see any company created be incorporated in Asgardia and recognised internationally. To do that we need to finalise many things, our currency, our regulatory institutions, our 'banking' sector [new thinking required here,]. There are reference models already in existence, such as the Benefit Corporation (http://benefitcorp.net/) and the Mondragin model (https://www.mondragon-corporation.com/en/). What would such a corporation do, how would it make ethical profits to invest in the project we all want to see? How can we, as a society of dreamers, 'make' and sell that other earthlings (and our citizens of course) would buy? What material benefit would accrue to investors and customers? What would keep them loyal to projects that will take many years? Is there an incremental business model that can generate revenues now, and into the future, while keeping it's integrity and eye on the longer term goals? Unfortunately I do not have all the answers, but there are some things we know we will need, developing them now, if done right, can create both longer term benefits and also benefits (and profit to reinvest) in the shorter term to create that sustainable model. To live in space we will need to create self sufficient habitats, habitats will need air, water, radiation protection, gravity (a spin), food production, resources (asteroid mining perhaps), energy (solar presumably), useful occupations for it's occupants [which generate income], quality of life, and purpose. The technologies created to make this happen can and should be used to generate income for the project. The main issue of course, will be how to get from here to there in a reasonable time span (10 to 50 years). This is the main work to be done, what are the milestones, and opportunities for revenue generation to fund the project(s) along the way. Elon Musk, Richard Branson, Jeff Bezos and of course Igor Ashhurbeyli and others. We need to work with them. My own primary interest is in Artificial Intelligence, to help and enhance our Intelligence, productivity and ability to think creatively.
