To most of the people, personal experiences have more preference than logical argument. Because experiences are shaped in our memory, but logic needs to use imagination and most of the time using memory is much easier than imagination. Asgardia is not one of that kind of phenomena existed in previous experiences of many humans. In fact very few people have had the chance to go into space and experience the life in there. So it is not surprising if at the moment few people are thinking about living and forming a community outside the planet.

But the vision of technology, on the one hand, and the needs of human societies on the other, shows that life in space is something that we have to think about it seriously. In the not-too-distant future, access to space will be not expensive as before. Moreover the constraints of resources in Earth will make the humans to think about living in other planets. The encounter of these two horizons will shape a future for humanity in which the transportation, presence and living outside the planet is an indisputable subject.

But it is very important that human societies outside of the planet will not inherit from problems and defects of earth’s. Human societies have historically faced the problems such as discrimination, poverty, ignorance and domination, which has had a huge negative impact on many human lives. This is an experience that humanity does not have to repeat.

The Constitution of Asgardia simply proposes conditions to ensure that problems and failures of human societies on earth would not transfer to the space society. This constitution relied on previous humanity experiences. Its emphasis is on creating a peaceful and wealthy community with equal opportunities for all. It does not include any restrictions on race, gender, age, economics, etc. for citizenship in Asgardia. There will be not border in Asgardia and it is underlined that political contradictions on Earth should not reach to Asgardia.

Although the basic concepts of Asgardia constitutions are beautiful and desirable, but in order to practically acceptance, the citizens should make themselves unbound from popular thinking constraints on earth. The rejection of racial, gender, and religious prejudices is the first challenge facing citizens of future societies, such as the Asgardia. In this case, it is hoped that Asgardia will be the first serious experience of a trans-modern society for humans. “A giant leap for mankind” to overcome the humanity traditional limitation, the movement which is known as Transhumanism.

We should be hopeful that the formation of this society and its constitution will be considered seriously both by members of this community and also by other international communities. Asgardia has the potential to be a foundation for the future of humanity. Paying serious attention to Asgardia is a serious consideration to the future of mankind.
