my dream whas to unite earth as one nation that cares for each and every person on it may asgardia make this dream i had all my life true but instead of earth we be colonizing space wich also happens to be my dream to colonise but i whas always thinking i had to clonise a planet this nation gave me hope that i can life in space and help humanity become a type 2 civilazation filled with unity,love and sience now one day we will rise to the skies and go where no human has gone,life where no human has lifed and know what no human has known

I'm that guy that knows things, things like mining recources from outer space to keep financing the amazing project of asgardia's space nation while also contributing to the economical structure on earth.

Recources from outer space could help develop better technology, improve structural integrity due to new or better materials, expand and grow better in comparison to earths development regarding evolutionary benefits.

When I close my eyes, I see not just white or black metal walls that protect us from the vacuum of outer space. But I see trees plants and vegetation, well thought of when building the space nation to remind us of the things we need, need to remind us of earth and remind us why we still breath.

Asgardia could be the push forward to help connect us to the citizens on mars and help develop an intergalactic space nation.

As modern technology advances but our planets resources are running out the way we are poluting the environment, and therefor eachother has the rational and moral need to change course. Space therefor has become more relevant than ever before, it provides us a better way of communicating, networking and cross-level collaborating through different parties. However the question remains if we need to restore our balance on earth first before we explore further.

Planet Earth

According to the history books planet Earth, or Gaia in Greek mythology exists for over 4.51 billion years. That is a number that you and I cannot comprehend throughout these years, the earth has therefor experienced drastic changes, from the Ice age which has happened around approximately 2,6 million years ago to our current environmental pollution, higher carbon dioxide levels, decrease biodiversity just to name a few. Humanity however exists for over 200.000 years whereby our civilisation as we know only is 6.000 years old. In fact humanity has and have been speeding up the process of global warming, which in the coming years will only rise even more, according to Nature Climate Change (NCC) the recent temperature increase are also tied to an increase number of suicide rates which is hard to grasp, to anticipate on this rise we have to look at alternative resources cause the numbers don't lie. Space 4.0

According to the World Economic Forum (WEF) the start of the so called Space Age began in 1957. Throughout the times different other corporations and organisations such as Elon Musk - SpaceX and Richard Branson - Virgin Galactic have been emerged and more and more are coming to be a promising market. The European Space Agency (ESA) calls this evolution Space 4.0 whereby Space 1.0 stands for astronomy that we are still using today to analyse space for as far as we can observe. Space 2.0 the race when different nations where in competition for the moon landings, Space 3.0 became more of a unity of an international space station for example the ISS and Space 4.0 according to The European Space Agency (ESA) will be an establishment of an United Europe in Space for the benifits of citizens and the European economy to also compete with other nations, private companies, academia and other space actors in the coming decades.

History

Since a young age I've always been fascinated about space, as a kid I remembered that I could watch the stars for hours at night exploring satelites, planes and falling stars. An inspring quote that fascinated me through my research, life and to explore those uknown boundaries in general is a quote from the famous Greek philosopher Socrates an individual who had a great influence on the western philosophy in general, I quote: "Man must rise above the Earth - to the top of the atmosphere and beyond - for only thus he will fully understand the world in which he lives" - Socrates 400 BC. According to the history books Plato; a student of Socrates was one of the individuals that followed his philosphy in combination with the wisdom and knowledge of philosopher and scientist Aristoteles. Inspiring humanity to think different, evolve and connect was the message they where spreading. "Knowing that I know nothing" I think is a vulnerable but powerfull statement to enter the unknown universe as an united humanity with all it's imperfections included.

For those who haven't seen it yet, I've candidated myself for the  Asgardian parliament! I tried to formulate a few points in my platform tekst but it's not complete so do look at my messages around.

I would also try to be active in Asgardia civil when possible and/or brainstorm about technical issues and their possible solutions.

Any feedback is much appreciated and I hope to have your vote!

My dear fellow Asgardians,

as this is my first blog post, let me introduce myself. I'm a Dutch citizen eager to help to make Asgardia a reality. To signify my seriousness I've also used my real name.

I have a university degree in computer science and a freshman's year university in applied physics but space technology has always drawn me and at times I wonder if I had not better study that instead! Maybe a second career option now with Asgardia?

Although I am not a fierce debater nor a politician, I am contemplating to run for parliament but I haven't made up my mind yet. Maybe a scientific role is more at place. Suggestions are more than welcome.

Let's try to make Asgardia reality and hopefully we'll live the day to look up in the sky and see a place we can call home too. Though honestly I wouldn't mind living or working there either but I guess a lot of Asgardians want that too!

This beautiful picture of Azuma Makoto's project to bring flowers into space is the best description of my Platform for my parliamentary candidateship.

As your representative I see it as my duty to strive for the common goal of establishing Asgardia as an independent nation with everything that is involved in that, to start with our basic need for oxygen, water and food.

As an independent nation we not only need a constitution, a flag, currency and other national symbols. An independent nation needs a secured supply of oxygen, water and food for its citizens. In my  parliamental work and efforts I will strive for the establishment of an Asgardian Ministery of Agriculture and Horticulture to meet this primary needs.

The ministry that will take care of the initiation and development of all necessary measures to guarantee a reliable supply of oxygene, water and healthy food is realized for the residents of Asgardia.

In order to survive in space Asgardia will take along plants to join man when he travels off our planet. Growing food and producing water and oxygen in space will be a critical technology to establish mankind and the Asgardian nation in space. A dedicated Ministry of Agriculure & Horticulture will have to take care of this critical resources as quickly as possible.

What I bring to Asgardia ?

In real life and as an innovation manager I am involved in the design, development and launch of nano-sats in closer cooperation with the European Space Agency. I am happy to make that experience available for future Asgardian space mission.

As private person I am a horticulturist growing my plants both outside and inside the house. I have a particular interest in greenhouses and controlled environments to let plants grow optimally

What you will get from my membership in parliament is also a lot of experience in initiating and developing complex projects and programmes like the Asgardian endeavor from aproject management point of view that I will use to bring our project ahead. .

I have experience as a representative throughout my career since high school (student board) and have initiated and managed a number of not-for profit associations, where I fulfilled board roles.

I speak English, Dutch, German and French and love to work in an international setting combining different cultures to work on a common goal.

Hi all,

I love the idea behind Asgardia and I want to examine for myself what it is and if it is something for me. A nation without a history is like a newborn. A tabula rasa. It has the potential to become anything. I would not want to miss te opportunity to be part of such an endeavor.

I am a male 57 years old. I am currently studying and working to support and help people with mental handicaps and personality disorders in the forensic field. I am interested in science and new developments like Asgardia. I speak Dutch natively, English fluent, German fluent and bits and pieces Portuguese.

I am excited to be here and hope to make many new friend.
