I'm just asking, will be necessary any law to protect a so called minority if we have the common sense to lift those borders and see the others and treat them as equals? I'm not meaning the kind of "acceptance" present modern day society were the majority is forced to tolerate a minority, were a person have a legal disadvantage against other just because s/he part of a majority and the other is part of a "victimized" minority. The acceptance I'm referring at is about understanding that we are all humans, that we can all treat each other as equals and that the gender, sexual orientation, beliefs and/or race will not make someone a lesser human than you and I, but your behavior and actions will attract hate against you and maybe your community.
This is a call for you fellow Asgardians, let's avoid being activists and becoming radical in our beliefs. Lets try avoiding any kind of radicalism and fanaticism at all. From my point of view as a heterosexual treating a homosexual as an outcast for what s/he's doing in her/his private life is an attempt to break someone else the right of choice, but same time when a homosexual is insisting on getting favors from a heterosexual and get repeatable refuses but s/he's (the homosexual) is pushing harder and herder and even touching the private parts of the heterosexual against his/her will is sexual harassment that should be punished by law, not encouraged by some liberal views applied wrong.
As a male, considering a woman as an inferior because of biological differences is not just wrong, but idiotic. I have female friends that can stand their ground and even exceed males on some domains. But, if you are a woman and act weak just to gain favors from males, consider the dirty and hard physical work being only for males and same time bragging yourself about what a "strong" woman you are, then what you actually are is a hypocrite. Also the toxic way that society draw a border between men and women is a form of extreme self harm, because women will be less trusted with some duties, women with great skills are marginalized for interfering with "men jobs", while men are repressed from the externalization of their feelings or been seen as weak and be humiliated by others and here I'm speaking from my experience as someone that is dealing with depression and anxiety (I got diagnosed with those) is hard to keep my feelings inside, it's actually pushing and sometimes I feel that my chest is standing to explode and every time when I fail on something I start to feel wordless and miserable because others where expecting me to done it right.
As an atheist, I don't like when religious people are spreading propaganda about their beliefs or act violent against those that don't share same beliefs as them. Even worse, taking an advantage on people religious views to obtain money and favors should be considered a crime and on a very extreme side, to engage them on terrorist acts it's a true crime against the humanity. But seeing how my fellows that chose not to have a religion act ashamed me. Most of the vocal atheists online are exactly what they hate, radicals that are spreading propaganda and see theist people as mentally inferiors.
As a white male I can't have an opinion about black people (calling them "black" is not racist) because I'm living in a Eastern European country and I've meet only few for a short time, but they acted very nicely and polite, but instead my country is dealing with gypsies and some of them can be very bad and dangerous people and before calling me a racist for saying this, or argue that there are evil white people out there also, let me explain how it comes to this situation. My country is leaded by a very corrupt government composed by spineless beings that will do anything to keep their position. Two important examples are bending over in front of EU and accept any destructive request from it, the other is giving too many rights and benefits to a minority and turn the head around when they are doing abuse of them. The problem is that all of the gypsies are exempted from taxes and receive welfare, but some of them are very rich, living on palaces and driving golden plated cars. They don't even got rich by adhering on legal ways and some of them are leading criminal organizations and are in a way or another protected by politicians. Then are the poor ones, but they have no push from beyond to contribute to society because of their status. At some point a politician suggested a reform to make them more legally attuned with the other citizens without breaking any basic human right, but EU interfered and put a stop to it because it was a "racist measure" and an affront to their culture and forced the government into passing more rights and benefits to them. Also what most people fail to realize is that they are actually one single nation scattered around the Globe and very few will leave it to integrate in another. Also I don't even understand why the discrimination of gypsies is viewed as racist instead of xenophobic because even that some got a darker skin, they are white. In my natal city the gypsy community is harmless, except for some, especially some teenagers, but in other cities those communities can be very dangerous, even kill people for stepping on their territory, or sometimes they are sending kids to repeatedly hit someone on the street until s/he will get defensive and act, thus triggering a group of teenagers and adults that is standing in proximity that will soon attack the victim and beat him/her and even murdering that person. And they are doing it for fun because their punishment will be low. This paragraph wasn't against gypsies, was about how mindless passed laws that favor a minority can do more harm than good.
Please, let's not turn into a doctrine. Let's avoid becoming extremist or organize pathetic public marshes. Let's be an example and judge people solely by their actions, not because they are different. And most important, let's not become some attention seekers, but instead working on getting respected by others by adopting an open minded behavior and accept a negative opinion instead of getting offended. Can we be united? Can we support and learn each other? Can we try to create a more balanced system that will not go too far on the left or on the right? Can we be a positive example to others?
