For this topic, I am assuming that the Asgardian government will be a representative democracy. This assumption might be wrong and if anyone wants to discuss the benefits and disadvantages of representative democracy, please start a new topic. If we are to election representatives for government, I would like to ...

I think STV will be a much more fair system.

I saw a couple of posts both here and on Facebook regarding contacting Aliens to help Asgardia get off the ground (pardon the pun) and I bagsy the ambassador to Aliens communities role. Should we try at some stage (obviously not this second) to contact Aliens after all Youtube and ...

Just jogging through the posts and found my own one, cool. Anyone can be an ambassador regardless of education, all you need is patience, understanding and compassion, if as the now banned EyeR said you need to be 'educated' I disagree with that remark. Who is 'educated' enough to be ...

Here is a link to the Seti home page. From there you can help and participate by running a free program that downloads and analyzes radio telescope data. Always a good way to be involved in programs that are already running. https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/

Asgardians all over the world, in their home countries, should become involved in different types of community projects in order to develop the foundations of Asgardia as a space nation and its contribution to the well being of human society on earth. Asgardians should be committed to this endeavor as ...

If space is real, why cant I go visit now? Like I can with any other country

Good day Asgardians, Is anything and everything real? Reality is an unexplain phenomenon where awareness interact with what seams to be commonly perceived unbreakable laws. Mathematics have given us that common ground where we can agree on what should be the logical perceived reality. I've never been good at math ...

Is space real? How about you find out? I'm sure I'd have littlle issues with crowdsourcing a few class M rockets to tie together - that should get you there? If you're up for it, this could be quite a fun experiment.

Within the context and by the standards of the world we perceive from day to day, yes - space is real. And we can reach it: we have people in space as I write, many more have been there or are training to go there, and plans are being formulated ...

I would like to discuss the possibility of changing how democracy is upheld in Asgardia, by inviting you to review and assess a system designed to remove as much bias and unsuitability as is physically possible from the election process itself. I have no doubt that many of you have ...

Asgardia is an experimental community of knowledge, so no idea should be discarded because it may be new or unfamiliar. It the exact place to use less conventional ideas that have been researched and validated, even if not widely used. I like OP's ideas of accountability for campaign promises and ...

I think Sammwich has a point about many coming from non democratic countries. Is Democracy the idea structure? When it comes to any democracy there are two issues that I see brought up regularly. First is fairness. A system based upon popular vote is going to have parties, and thus ...

I don't think we should focus on unconventional or experimental voting systems. It will turn many people off. First Past the Post with two candidates is the only system that is always fair. It's familiar, easy to understand, and is easily modified to suit particular needs. Many Asgardians do not ...

Should we ask any Asgardian Leaders on whether or not we should be allowed to carry either concealed or not, firearms?. There are likely to be some serious questions and answers flying about the place but seeing as most people so far are fixated on space defence I thought I'd ...

@Bpager,

To whom are you talking? If myself I have a question, if you have no intent of arguing with anyone why bother to comment at all? You can't possibly comment and not expect someone to challenge what you have said when what you have said is ...

I have no intention to argue with anyone. First I presented my qualifications. Second I closed my point with request for scientific rigor. Everyone is allowed to have their own opinion. No one is allowed to have their own facts.
