Dare to look up and wonder !

Communications in space are very different to the communications that are used here on Earth, there are problems inherent with low frequency communications, that we just have no conclusive evidence on if these frequencies will work any different space side. However, I prefer operating in the bandwidths from 28mhz to 3cm which although line of sight here on earth should also allow for longer range communications in space. I look forwards to one day experementing with these issues in space rather than in a lab or sat on top of a hill.

I am currently a Community Councillor working to promote my small seaside town, I am also a Regional Manager with the Radio Society of Great Britain, my region covers the whole of South Scotland and the Western Islands. I am a firm believer in Leading by Example, not by my words.

I also am a firm believer that family come first and from there friendships build where at some point both merge and become one.

However on this small blue green world we currently inhabit we are bound by borders shackling us to the will of corporate giants for their own profits not for the benefit of Mankind. Taking the step beyond our world and into other worlds, mystery's and adventures is not everyone's idea of fun. But it is mine.

We as a species are young, we fight for reasons that the rest of the universe don't care about, meaningless banter so why build Asgardia? We need to remind the people of earth that we are the explorers of our time and that we need to push forward with discoveries and treat new beginings with care and up most vigilants as we cross new thresholds and push boundaries that have never been pushed before, we have the chance to change our future and safe guard our children's lives, I stand for Asgardia and all of its citizen's, as one we can make possibly the biggest step the human race has ever made. The human race will endure.

I try to live my life positively. I look for the bright side of things. The silver lining so they say. We are such an advanced species now, having invented the internet to connect with people around the world, inventing technology to harness wind and solar power, we have a large hadron collider to explore the quantum world, and now we're looking at exploring the physical world beyond Earth. Yet we are still unable to put aside our hate, fear and other negative feelings to work together positively. Even when something catastrophic happens, we're fuelled by hate and fear and we're easily influenced to point the finger of blame or wish death upon these people. I believe we cannot fight fire with fire. We need to dampen this 'fire' with positivity.
I wish to encourage this positivity in people, in the world and in the world beyond, whether in the now or in the future.
I also believe that we not only should have a more positive outlook on our own species, but we should also be more responsible to the physical, emotional, spiritual and other planes of worlds (if they're other currently unexplored past our own understanding), we should not allow this negativity to spread into the world beyond our own and we should not exploit this just for our own personal gain!
