Hi all. Ok, so I'm new to Asgardia and still finding my way around. I feel like I've missed something here. If the plan is to setup an independent offworld nation, I've seen plenty of discussion on politics and economics, I've seen plenty of scientic theorising, but where is everything in between? Where is the roadmap of developments needed to get us offworld? Launching a satellite is just gesture politics: it's old tech which proves nothing. Adding a module to ISS is the same: it doesn't actually solve any problems we face on this journey, just another jesture. Politics, government, laws and economics are important subjects but are insignificant compared to the technical challenges faced which I don't see any real plans for. Am I missing something? I'm not being critical for the sake of it: I can help finding solutions for a lot of these problems but is there a commitment to wanting to solve them?

My name is Giacomo Bressan, I am a flight attendant based in the UK, recently completed a Master course in Space and Air law with Drone law and Aircraft leasing and Financing. I’m always been connected and passionate about the universe. I envision Asgardia to become a top-world Leading space agency and nation by following similar steps walked by Elon Musk with SpaceX; Jeff Bezos - Blue origin; Richard Branson – Virgin Galactic and many more, which believed in shaping the space industry and the fate of humanity. I want to propose to the Court and Parliament of Asgardia as well to the Head of Nation Igor Ashurbayli, to consider as follow: 1) To create one of the biggest libraries know in the world (Digital and Physical), containing the knowledge of Air and Space law and all the matte rod aviation and space. To be offered to Universities and Companies around the world. 2) Provide a “Uniform” for residents and not, for members of parliament and the head of nation, to use and wear in meeting, to recall rank, duties and mission accomplished as done for astronauts, to be worn respectfully by following uniform policies. The uniforms will be sold separately on the expenses of Asgardians citizens and not to be a burden of the Government. Note, the design of the uniform and patches should be approved by Asgardia Gov. 3) Provide, residents and with monthly, quarterly or yearly mission to develop physical and mental strength to prepare Asgardians to become Citizen-Astronauts on a daily basis by receiving, patches upon completion to add on the uniform. 4) Offer Asgardians to receive astronauts training, by implementing and update in the AR-app and involve real astronauts to give feedback and knowledge by following similar pattern followed by SpaceNation.com 5) Engage with corporation such as, Space for Humanity, The overview Institute, SpaceX, ESA, Space nation, Virgin Galactic and Roscosmos. 6) Provide interview with astronauts, with live chats on zoom to stream. Astronauts should be from every nation with no exception. 7) Create a official wallet to keep Asgardia's Residence card with a slot for the future passport, to remind Asgardians, to invest and to remember the final goal, vision and mission as an Asgardian. 8) Create Asgardia App, with the Digital residence card shown, mission achieved and more. 9) Asgardia should promote and try to receive recognition from micro-nations such as: Andorra, Liechtenstein, San Marino, Monaco Principality, and the Vatican city. “We can’t dream of space only, we have to wear it, feel it with tasks, real missions, train Asgardians to become Citizen-Astronauts and to collaborate with 0 gravity companies to deliver Asgardians with enough preparedness to a life in space. I believe if we invest on this projects, wisely within financial abilities and possibilities, even by just setting the goal to achieve them one day, I will see and exponential rise in residents and citizens which will cover the media and global interests. I’m wishing everyone a happy new year, I aim my hopes so that we’ll be able to continue functioning universally as a global solution towards space-based earthly threats. I’ve had the privilege of encountering Minister Ivan Rosel in 2021, and can definitively state that the practical skills I learnt from him directly has translated into a full time job where I still use his work ethic methodology to get every job done better.  Spending just 20 mins per big task per hour makes me efficient at being a kitchen porter, as I can now multi-task important cleaning/organizing whilst taking onboard side-quests beyond initial responsibilities. I enjoy reading Dirk Baeyen’s posts every time I log onto Asgardia; there’s always something new to read, learn, debate and discuss in a way that’s engaging for me, thank you. Thor Odinson as usual makes me think about the future of space fashion every time I observe any profile pic. Being able to reciprocate advice meant a lot to me; I think of you sometimes that I see a photo of any galaxy. Kenneth Edelen reminds me of the missing genealogical link between Jason Statham and Jean Claude Van Damme if they merged during a scientific martial arts competition. His frequent ability to articulate complex concepts into layman terms and vice versa is pretty useful for literally everyone onboard. Cheryl Gallagher, the woman who empowered my psyches’ reawakening to the beauty of the cosmos for what it really is, instead of what I think it ought to be, is a good role model for aspiring Asgardians who wish to promote the concept of taking the initiative. Our leader, Dr. Igor Ashurbeyli is a mentor for good in my books. Without the founding father establishing this pathway, who knows how little our collective hope would actually be in the interest of living in space. There are many more individuals I could name and fame, but I’d rather leave all of that until later. Understandably, the world is becoming more divided in too many ways to actually account for; asides from the politics of nations affecting our collective commitment to Asgardia and ourselves for better and worse, as well as our own internal struggles materializing the objectives we signed up then elaborated upon, a lot of national currencies cannot simply match up to the purchasing power of the euro, therefore solars would be inevitably hard to purchase without constant risky sacrifices. That is why the voluntary local residency fee is an important, economically assisted step in being able to further enhance the space nation’s functional capacities. Let us help each other in at least achieving a collective goal of exploring what life has to offer beyond the boundaries imposed by ourselves. Let’s build on our economy so that people who say they cannot afford to contribute to the future of Asgardia, have all the literal means to do so. A marketplace of jobs on a global scale managed by Asgardia, for Asgardians everywhere, is a good place to start improving. Thanks for reading through everything. OHOU.

LPS 2022 Climate Detectives School Award In brief Join the Climate Detectives School project and win the opportunity to present your project at the ESA Living Planet Symposium (LPS) 2022 in Bonn, Germany, like real scientists! In-depth ESA is proud to announce the second edition of the LPS Climate Detectives School Award. The award is open to teams of students, from 12 to 15 years old, participating in the ESA Climate Detectives school project. The Climate Detectives project challenges school students to investigate a climate problem using Earth observation data, either obtained by satellites or taking direct measurements on the ground. Based on their investigation, the students are called to make a difference and take actions to help address this climate problem. A jury of ESA experts will select the best four projects and invite the award-winning teams to present their findings to an international audience at the ESA 2022 Living Planet Symposium (LPS 2022). The Symposium will take place on 23 –27 May 2022 in Bonn, Germany. The Award is an unique opportunity for students to participate in one of the biggest Earth observation conferences in the world, to meet scientists and discover their work. Hi my name is Kahlilah Sitler I am happy to meet my fellow Asgardians. I am an Anthropology and Politics student @ Qeen's University Belfast. Queen Elizabeth is the owner of this University and now Hillary Clinton is the Chancellor. I am a devoted citizen of Asgardia. And have done great research in how Capitalism undermines democratic governance. In my political and anthropological research I have discovered great problems on planet earth. my opinion is that we need to solve our problems here on planet earth while we are creating a new state before we are reunited with the Galactic Federation of Light and the Ashtar Command. Not Eastern or Western; Not "natural" or "fake". There is no need for false dichotomies. In Asgardia I'd propose to have an evidence based medicine to ensure we can all get help, prevention and care that is proven to work and benefit us the most. No quackery. No artificial divisions. No opinions. No snake oils. Only Science and Evidence!
