I propose that we behave seriously, without mention of FSMs or crisps. I agree with the use of SI. I think we should discourage the use of non-SI units. Clothing, food, etc. should all be sold primarily in SI units. (However, we should not abridge the freedom to sell them in traditional units.) Exceptions to this rule can be made for those items with "deeply traditional units", for example, beer being sold by the pint. The "deeply traditional units" being established by the ministry or an appropriate delegate thereof for certain classes of goods. In all cases, let the SI equivalent be displayed. (It shall be sufficient to display it once, visibly, on any menu/etc. thus, in a menu listing several beverages and their price per pint, it is sufficient to list the SI value once at the bottom.)

Good day Asgardians, Is anything and everything real? Reality is an unexplain phenomenon where awareness interact with what seams to be commonly perceived unbreakable laws. Mathematics have given us that common ground where we can agree on what should be the logical perceived reality. I've never been good at math but I've always perceived the beauty in it. The sad part of all this is how many concepts can be rational and how this unbreakable laws actually break as we move along in history. The fact that reality means awareness, we can say that reality is different from one mind to the other, we could also say it doesn't really matter as long as you want to believe in it. I've always been amazed by what people call "a crazy person" a person that is not in tune with reality. Dementia is one of the faster growing "diseases", the reason is that lap and space between awareness and that common ground. But ideas are so vast, that you could find yourself in a group of "smarter" persons in an island of "dumber" persons and "go crazy" because you would have to question if what you know is true. The trick is to be flexible and stick to one thing, read as much as you can in multiple languages if possible and never forget that no one has the absolute truth, use the scientific method as much as you can and be humble. Is Space real? Why not? I can do in Photoshop and Cinema 4D everything I've seen from the NASA but I want to believe it, so it is real for me. Just be a good person, love, don't hate. Is space real? How about you find out? I'm sure I'd have littlle issues with crowdsourcing a few class M rockets to tie together - that should get you there? If you're up for it, this could be quite a fun experiment.

Within the context and by the standards of the world we perceive from day to day, yes - space is real. And we can reach it: we have people in space as I write, many more have been there or are training to go there, and plans are being formulated to send more still. We have probes reaching out into the solar system and we are gathering observations of far distant places. Whether or not the entire structure of the reality we perceive can be considered ultimately and objectively 'real' is something we have no way to address. It's a philosophical debate at best.

Well since a Satellite is to be launched shortly, clearly we have an astrophysics team already. I agree that all Asgardians should take a course in basic celestial mechanics and a living in space 101. What would be interesting is for us Asgardians to start properly looking at platonic solids, sacred geometry, crystal technologies. Currently, public astrophysics and science advancements have been fairly limited and constrained. 95% of the universe is considered either dark energy or dark matter. Clearly, we need a renaissance in physics that can bring spiritual understanding and sacred geometry back in line with science. Doing this is going to be the key to zero point devices that will be critical to our understanding of the universe and how to live comfortably among the stars.

Wouldn't serious Asgardians already be comfortable with orbital dynamics? I was plotting slingshots in simulators when I was 8... Strikes me as the sort of thing to be most useful for those who aren't as serious. It'd certainly make sense to feature, at least in it's most basic forms, as part of the educational system - once we actually have an educational system, ofc. Ideally, we would place station(s) into belts that wouldn't require maintainence, but not all locations would be entirely viable to afford such a position. Either way, lacking propulsion at all is a seriously flawed concept. Especially when it could only take moving a few meters to the left to avoid an impact. RCS is long term unsuitable IMHO. I'd not expect an upload facility for some time. Lets assume you could trust random users to not fill it with "amusing" cat videos and other plagues of the interwebs, and to say you'd afford each user a 5GB qouta, at current populations that'd need to eat 2.75PB of HD. Just under $130000USD for HD's, and racks to put them in. Then there's the associated hosting costs for these machines... However, one of the 2TB drives(predicted payload) in the machine powering this site could be dedicated to storages for "collaborational tools" rather trivially, and the tools themselves would allow for creation of various documents(pictures, .pdf, text files, speadsheets, databases etc) and additionally allow for real-time collaborative editing - As I type into the document, what I type is on your screen in realtime. Allowing for multiple users to compose the same document rapidly facilitating developments. 2TB isn't a lot of space, nowadays, but it should serve to hold the majority of the documents we'd actually need to be working on, about now.

I think that some of the divisive (and frankly dangerous) developments that are being pursued at the moment on Planet Earth both by the current US government and, in my own country (UK), in becoming more isolated in the world just illustrates the need for Asgardia to join in and participate in cooperation with international organisation such as the UN and the Commonwealth (and for the European Chapter the EU). All countries need to have alliances and international friendships for the benefit of their citizens - the consequences of not doing so will only be too plain to see in the coming years.

You can promote "building friendships" without attempting to join into some sort of "members only" club however. It just creates another border.

The EM-Drive, AKA Q-Thruster has been tested. There was a 2015 findings report leaked, and then released. That's not to say testing is completed, just it has been independantly verfied as providing viable thrust. The diamond batteries are far too early in development for my personal consideration as a viable power source right now, and have been operating under the assumption that solar arrays and where this is impractical, nuclear generators, could provide a realible power source for such devices. But it's definitely something to be looking at.
