Are you excited about the Mayoral elections? I am! I considered running, but it doesn’t sit within my skill set. It does sit very well in my interests. Whoever becomes my local Mayor, expect to hear from me!

It’s been a long-brewing idea of mine to set up a online buddying/mentoring arrangement for communities and Asgardia could be a good place to test it out.

The idea involves sharing resources and skills to increase opportunities for individuals and stronger communities overall. So many divisions in society come from a lack of opportunity, which is not just unfair, it actually disadvantages us all.

The benefit to this approach in Asgardia is that it gives an opportunity for those of us who care about Asgardia, but don’t have scientific backgrounds, to be actively and productively involved. My hope is that being a supportive community can be the base for giving Asgardia a strong foundation and for proving that we are a true nation.

I’d like to start a online group for Asgardians in Cambridge (UK) to discuss what we can do locally, so if you’re interested please add/accept me as a friend here and let me know what platform works for you (here, FB, LinkedIn, something else etc etc).

Well done to all the people who have submitted ideas for the currency, but surely we need to move past 'making money' as that will cost, as we Asgardians are future looking maybe we should just have a card (like debit/credit card) which holds our Asgardian status, passport, bank account, health status etc. Would be alot simpler and cheaper to setup.

I’d like to update you about this direction. I’ve nominated myself to be a part-time Deputy Minister for Citizenship.

As someone who currently has citizenship in more than one earthly country, and has to understand visas and citizenship rights and responsibilities as part of various professional roles over the years, I feel this would be a good fit for my knowledge and interest.

There has been much discussion about what the physical proof of citizenship will look like, e.g. passports and ID cards. I would like to talk more about what citizenship means to us.

Beyond what is currently in our Constitution, what rights do we expect to have as citizens? What responsibilities should be upon us in order to maintain a positive and active citizenry? How will citizenship be obtained in the future? Under what circumstances will it be revoked? How will Asgardian citizenship differ from that of earthly states?

These particulars, as with all other aspects of Asgardia, will develop over time. Regardless of the outcome of this election, I look forward to many positive and fruitful discussions about citizenship, and beautiful intricacies of our new nation.

可能是因为我没写英文版吧，算了，我也懒得写，毕竟议会里面不会有我的事情，我还不愿意当官僚，最重要的是四十岁以上的中国人居然没有！ 难受。。。。

今天发表了选举宣言，不知道未来这个所谓国家会有什么国家利益和国家认同，我认为这个所谓国家不过是平民之间的一种政治讨论办法罢了，毕竟这个“国家”没有强制某个公民执行法令的能力

希望未来我们开发其它星球的时候，可以通过这种方式来保护和平衡不同种族不同文化背景之间平民的权益，对于未来来说，我们可是全球平民政治协商的先驱呢∠( ᐛ 」∠)_

I just wanted to share a thought with all my fellow Asgardians.

Equality.

On Asgardia there should be social, political and economic equality of the sexes.

It is so hard to achieve it here because no one is used to it, but if we could built a place where male and female are treated the same way, it is going to be something normal for everyone.

No more fights, no moro protests, we can all just live peacefully together.

I also think that being gay, lesbian, transgender etc. should be seen as a normal thing, it is again something hard to achieve here but new nation, new rules.

Everyone should be able to be who she/he wants to be and not be afraid to show it.

What is really out there waiting for us, what can be discovered? We need are in a new space race ... but there are a few things we need to be successful.

We are limited by resources and tools, we have the capability of contracting to various governments and in so doing the beginning of our trading.

We need to work as a team to cross obstacles, risks will need to be taken.

We are at the dawning of a new age .... People are looking at the skies and wonder when they will be available to all people....

I know I don't post much but I am paying attention to what is happening in Asgardia and I'm happy with the progress so far tho wishing it went faster but let's keep up this pase cos it's working, also I watched the launch of Cygnus and was so happy when it finally made its liftoff on that Sunday hopes go out to Asgardia for a clean setup of Asgardia 1 😊

If you ever wanted to be a representative of the people, now is the time.

I was a youth parliamentarian twice because I wanted to be an elected representative. It was a disheartening experience. Rather than using the platform that we had to show the established politicians how political debate need not be showboating and insults, I was dismayed to see many of my peers doing exactly that. I have vivid memories of our "party" leaders in their oversized suits, doing theatrical belly laughs as they took cheap shots at their opponents.

Not that I blame them for having misfitted suits. I had also borrowed my suit from a relative because I didn't have one of my own. But in that environment the suits seemed to highlight the attitude that was present: parliamentary debate was a dress-up game, where winning was the only result that mattered.

I’m an optimist. It’s harder work than being cynical, but its worth it. Asgardia is an inspiration to rethink the ideas that have defeated us before and try again - not just as individuals, but as a society.

As your representative, I look forward to hearing new ideas and shaping them in to practical positive changes for our new society. If you feel the same way, why don't you join me?
