What should the age of Majority be. ie. the voting age or the age of civil partnership consent.
Jun 13, 17 / Can 24, 01 09:28 UTC

I think by the time people are 13 or 14 years old because by then they know what they want to vote. Otherwise the voting age could be by the kids responsibility, have them take some sort of test to see how responsible they are and if they are ...

The Argument for a Fixed Age of Majority as Opposed to Sociological Test of Maturity

@Mutyumu, It is rather naive and dangerous to say: "*votes of more qualified and educated people are worth more.*" The question is: **Should the Age of Majority (i.e. Adult) be determined by some sort of qualifying assessment? Or, should an arbitrary age be defined?** I submit that this age be ...

@sammwich "UHDR is not a legally binding document". Not true, it is binding. Nowadays it is "ius gentium", i.e. it's regarded compulsory international law for and in any State on Earth.

Of course! Every nation requires a two-letter ccTLD. I vote for .aa, or if a three-letter gTLD is used, then .asg

Is the current DNS structure likely to exhaust all possible combinations? I don't see the sense in attempting to refactor it.

What should the official religion of Asgardia be?
Aug 2, 17 / Vir 18, 01 14:12 UTC

You cannot decide wich religion should be the appropriate in Asgardia, because all other people will not agree. So, let all religions be possible to worship as long as it do not interfere with the project.

Now I'm not 100% on the science involved, this is a theory. The idea is using magnetic energy powered by the sun or eventually other stars to send objects (ships, cargo) etc. Through space on a magnetic rail like a sling shot, Magnets work perfectly in the vacuum of space ...

Again, ignore cost to LEO - it's not happening that way, this is something we can clearly both be in agreement over. You'd also want it higher most likely. Just the materials cost, let alone design time and assembly would sincerely suggest such a project could not possibly be entertained ...

Though these things are achievable, I do prefer to keep things at least within a reasonable timeframe away. Building an 18km long railgun in space is pretty far off, with the cost per kg to LEO being around $4k. For cargo transport, you can make the acceleration much higher, and ...
