Fellow Asgardians, with many of us concerned about a head of our government bring appointed, it is my view that we stand better as a community if there is no figure head at the government table.  A council/government of 20 from all reaches of our world, voted for by us, with a majority rule on our laws, when we govern together, there can be no dictatorship.  We can govern from a position of people not rulers.  I remember my grandmother telling me of what it was like in the UK during the Second World War, the government worked its parties together for the good of their people, not one party over another.  Only together can we decide what is best for us and our people.

Dear Asgardian friends, I cannot hide my enthusiasm for the presentation of this nomination. The Asgardia project is futuristic and represents a unique opportunity for all of us. I thought about the opportunity to apply for this nomination and then I decided to do it because I believe, in this way, I can contribute to the project in the best possible way. I believe that the mayor must first of all be a link between the local community and the governing bodies, and he can therefore represent the requests of citizens and facilitate the implementation of adequate solutions. I propose below some points on which to focus a possible mandate as Mayor: - Promote the link between citizens and the Government of Asgardia; - Support the implementation of administrative management processes for citizens; - Maintain links with the local community and promote their inclusion in Asgardia's initiatives; - Support all processes dedicated to the creation of infrastructures for the provision of Asgardia services to citizens; - Ensure adequate liaison and representation with local authorities; - Encourage a continuous exchange of ideas and debates in the local community and promote any idea and initiative that reflects and enhances the ideals of Asgardia thanks for your attention and any support for my appointment Best regards, Francesco

Hello, I was hoping to get some clarity on the procedures regarding constitutional amendments. When someone submits a proposal, what happens next? I understand there will be a referendum at some point, but does someone filter proposals or are all of them put to a vote? Are they going to be voted on one by one or on block? Thanks.

I thought I would share a few samples of my work from the last few months in publishing I work across ROOM, Astronomy Now, and a number of academic publishers. I hope to share my work with you all and offer my services to those who need design and publishing work.

The amazing diversity of life on earth fills me with joy and fear. The joy is obvious, I regard nature's multiple expressions with awe and delight. The fear is more troubling, because humans are refusing to act in common self interest to keep the planet healthy. And so I turn to Asgardians.

Been working alongside Amazon this last fortnight as my magnum opus "Shiko" has grown too large for their franchise publishers in Poland to print it in one volume. In addition, the Kindle version takes too long to download. As it now weighs in at just short of 300,000 words (a normal novel is roughly 80,000), I have been instructed to unpublish the old one-volume version and rework it as a two-parter, with new ISBNs. I have further created a website blog to house online (with links from the book) the extensive End Papers which will not be included in Part One, plus it means a reader won't have to lose their place if they ever need to consult the glossary. Once done, the novel will out there until the world's end – and long after I have passed on. >Hornblende: a relative young (second century) planet allegedly of little mineral worth, colonised only as a stepping-stone for future expansion, despite its lethal fauna and flora. Out on the Empire's rim, its previous claim to fame was the first bona fide alien artifact which led to it being added to the 1%'s extensive and expensive Grand Tour … until the Empire actually met other space-faring beings on its diametrically opposite border. Plunged into the Alien War, Hornblende is isolated from the distant battles, its jump point destroyed and comms slowed (five years each way now), now intentionally ring-fenced as the last chance for humanity to survive somewhere should the war end badly. Back on Hornblende, Deet Waldstein inadvertently uncovers an insidious alien presence as he thwarts the kidnap of an important figure. Much later, he is coerced into heading a task force that can be seen to be removed from various worried governments, under the aegis of the OAE – the Empire's law givers and final arbiters – ostensibly to fight a new wave of terrorists making good use of the Isolation, but really to probe and counter the alien threat he himself uncovered. He recruits his new force well, but unwisely, and soon members of his team are getting killed. He is attacked and left terminally ill from a high dose of radioactive material, and it seems even his own paymasters are turning against him.

Over a million followers! Under two thousand members! Well, hats off to all my fellow members, but I'm beginning to feel like Diogenes wandering around with his candle. I've even been asked to stand for mayor locally, though everyone nearby seems to be a follower rather than a member, so not enough support there. I'm trying to remain positive about Asgardia, but I am fighting the feeling it is prone and slowly dying. Maybe Asgardia was easy for me: father from one country (large tribe), mother another, born in a third, raised in a fourth. I never understood boundaries. I never understood tribes. I never fully understood patriotism if it meant killing others wholesale. I never suffered from xenophobia. Like the sci-fi stories and films where we have to unite as a species to survive, or to get anywhere good, I have always been for anything that brings folk together. Surely there can't be only two thousand of us? We really need to stop fixating on the million followers. When push comes to shove, they'll evaporate.

I live in a country where its citizens have just voted for an illusory and ill-remembered past. It might once have been an Empire, but so were many other countries, once upon a time, each built by exploitation, subjugation and deceit. Today, among the loud donkey-braying of those who honestly think they have won something instead of losing nearly everything, we will now remove ourselves from our many neighbours. This action will reduce us as people even further, but it will also ensure we become the USA's 51st state in the years to come. Looking at this, then looking at Asgardia's one million plus members but only two and a half thousand residents, I cannot help but wonder: are we as a race slowly drifting off back to sleep? Caring is not political. Philanthropy is not an aberration. Health care and climate change are not about finance, or left and right leanings. If we don't collectively get our act together soon (very soon), maybe we should do the universe a big favour and die out. Either that, or build an ark and get the hell out of her ASAP.

Due mainly to illness, I was introduced late to tai chi by a lifelong friend, who these days I regard as my sensei. I have a regular time first thing where I do lohan patting, then my tai chi, then qi gong eight brocades. It has centred me, made me more supple as well as mentally positive, and helps me fight what is a terminal disease. Namaste.

I am honoured to join you in our nation free of bigotry, racism and hypocrisy. I am Al, 59 and now living in both Holland and space! How cool is that! We face a climate apocalypse; not many of us will make it. I, of course, will probably be dead before the full horrendous force of the changes we have wreaked on our beloved Mother Earth in so short a period of time make their malign presence known. What we see today is only a shallow foretaste. I have spent the last 20 odd years of my life working with organisations to help them improve how they interact with the environment and to lessen their impact. I started off with hope in my heart, a belief, as I’m sure many of you share, that with just a prod here and a poke there, eyes would be opened and ways changed. It was so obvious. Nah. The world doesn’t work like that. The vested interest of those with money, power and influence always, always prevails. It doesn’t seem to matter how society is organised; by autocracy, by oligarchy, by democracy or by anarchy, power rises to the top. And that is because we are human; we need to dominate, we need to consume, we need to destroy, to keep ourselves alive. Or we did, and still do. We also need to love, to create, to celebrate, to commune with each other. Which we also did. And also still do. Unprecedented material wealth has not changed our fundamental nature as small scale hunter gatherers. Organised religion has given us false hope that we can transcend our most base instincts and let a Sky God above absolve us of our sins. We still can’t think, as a race, beyond our tribe and the next meal, let alone the next fifty years. So, what makes me, and you, special? Do we actually transcend these limits of humanity? No, we don’t. But do we recognise, by some statistical or evolutionary quirk, that another way is needed, is absolutely necessary to keep the human race thriving, even if it is only to make sure that the continual dilemma of what it is to be a human being is kept alive? Yeah, maybe, but what else is there to do except give in to despair? And that won’t do. So, fellow Asgardians, I commend my thoughts to you in the hope that you will challenge me, reciprocate, raise a glass, as I’m now doing, and keep the faith. Of course, that’s an oxymoron… And a challenge to us all. Are we looking to another Sky God here, just in a satellite? A real one? One we can see? One we can be uploaded to? Isn’t that just another riff on the ‘immortality in Heaven’ stuff we all consumed as scared youngsters, those of us brought up in Sky God religions? Time will tell. And time will take me before any of this becomes moot. But, still, despite my equivocation, Asgardia represents a hope that is too often lacking in our world today so I must say, fellow Asgardians, keep going. The species needs you. And me.
