I suppose I'm just testing this out.  I don't feel like anyone is actually going to be reading this.  I just finished looking over a lot of the candidates, and none of them really stood out as people that I'd particularly want to represent me.

I suppose that's part of the problem.  It seemed like they were all shooting in the dark.  Throwing out topics hoping that the arrow hits the mark: equality, clean energy, no work for food...

The thing is... I don't want someone to make promises to me.  Equality?  This is more of an idealistic concept than a thing that can realistically come to fruition.  Clean energy is something that's going to happen anyway.  And setting a goal of a Utopia where everyone gets everything handed to them is only the vision of a fraction of us.

Universal base income as a concept is nice, but it's hard to say if it's really feasible to be talking about it for a term that only lasts a handful of years.

Truly, the only thing I'm really looking for is someone to act as a surrogate for my individual voice and the voice of my peers.  In truth, I don't want a candidate who even has their own ideas.  I simply want someone who listens and enacts the ideas of the masses.

Apparently that's too much to ask for.

I  am of the firm belief that the human race has made grave missteps in the direction technology has shifted.  Instead of concentrating on living in harmony with Planet Earth, we strive for technological advancement with no regard to it.  I believe that we are advanced enough to form a consciousness shift, and in the event we need to relocate to space, we should be prepared to learn from our mistakes.  Kinetic energy, solar power, hydroelectric plants, wind turbines, moisture harvesting material, hydroponic farming and the like are all attainable and necessary.  I believe that we can make a balanced society, one that is both knowledgeable and aware.  I believe that harmony is attainable, and with a fresh start to capitalism, we can prevent greed from destroying further incarnations of our society.
