Hey, howdy, how's it going? Its been a minute since y'all have seen my shining face. I hope all of you are having a great year so far. If some of you don't know me cool, Hello I'm Ethan Spangenberg. And to those who do know me, I am sorry for my absence. So to the meat of the matter. The reason I have been gone so long is my life has been upended recently. My sweet loving mother died just before last Christmas. At the age of 52. She died from a illness that she battled ever since I could remember. This illness was Sarcoidosis. It is a autoimmune disorder that attacks key body systems and over time stops them from functioning. Her death has spurred many changes in my life. Since her disability income was most of what made up the house payment. Me, My father and my sister were all forced to move. Also, many of you know that I am self employed. I was self employed with my father in a handmade woodworking and cooking business, which I posted videos of on AsgardiaTV. The main reason I was doing this was to help my father care for my mother. And with her gone now, we have decided to go our separate ways business wise. We still support each other because that is what family does. So I have started my own career in design and the arts. I would love to someday use my skills and expertise inside of Asgardia rather than some company. These last couple of months has really given me a different perspective on life, death, sickness, war, family etc. They were lessons that I wish I could have learned before my mothers passing, but then again I'm not sure I could've had the same perspective shift without it. My mother loved space and always thought that our race had a place among the stars. In many ways she supported our beliefs as a nation. Although she was never officially asgardian whenever I talked to her about Asgardia she always was hopeful that we could actually achieve the peace and unity we strive for. So I have decided to become a resident. I have been unable to financially support the asgardian dream for too long. I will be just a dreamer no longer, but a doer. Because I believe what we have here is special and worth cultivating. And I will be DAMNED to every religions hell before I let a cause for peace, exploration and scientific discovery go to waste without giving it a chance to grow. I believe that we can spread our race, cure our ailments, stop our wars, build structures that are not monuments to our own greed but rather from our harmony and understanding of our environments, bodies and minds. To understand one another on a level deeper than just the surface, to unlock that secrets that lay barren to rot because there is no money in it. To break free of our oppressors internal and external and soar as my mother always wanted to. Our time is short in this universe. I encourage anyone that thinks they have an idea or can help in any way to please do it. Help all of your Asgardian dreams become a reality because you never know when your dreams might suddenly become the wishes of the fallen. I will be trying to become more active in regards to Asgardia and our mission in the coming year, I advise you all do the same. For no one can do it alone. I see many great ideas in Asgardia that are passed on due to large amounts of inaction among us. Don't just dream, do. And if you think you can't, you can. Because if it is something you truly care about you will figure out how to make time for it. If all you can say is excuses your heart wasn't in it to start with. Like I said I am hoping to be able to help out in a more active capacity. I am not sure what but I will figure it out. I will be in touch with some of you as well. You know who you are.
