A Futuristic Approach to Education

Asgardia is a new nation needing a new approach to education, using the combine efforts from specialist around the world, the Asgardia Holistic Education System will be able to advance Asgardia into the twenty first century and beyond. The goal of the AHES is to give Asgardia a realistic goal of achieving a universal education system that does not discriminate access to education, and learning objectives, due to circumstances outside of the control of individuals, such as gender, birthplace, ethnicity, religion, language, income, wealth, location, comprehension, or disability’s. Asgardia is the first digital nation that will remain so for many years to come, Our citizens have very diverse cultures, practices, needs, traditions, religions, mannerisms, ideologies, education systems, governments, skill levels, and beliefs.  With this kind of diversity, we must have an education system that addresses these issues.  To do otherwise would create division or disunity and would violate the dignity of the individual.  This system would have to be built on real world knowledge from a universal approach.  The AHES is such an approach, it acknowledges every aspect concerning education and addresses the diversity of a worldly education system. This creation and implementation of a futuristic universal approach will prepare youth and adults for an accelerating twenty first century, by expanding traditional education methods with a broader approach that focuses not only on structure core competencies, but allows equal development in temperament, self-views, reasoning, emotion, physical, interpersonal, transpersonal, character, and citizenship. At the same time this system must also be able to address the needs of handicap and special needs individuals.  Finally, we must have a system that partners with current worldly systems who have already addressed the issues of education throughout the world and compiled reports in collaboration with many nations that give a clear understanding of the educational direction, evaluation, accountability, and sustainable developmental goals.

Have you felt ever to not belong? That maybe in the stars you could feel you might? To stare into the depths of space, to watch movies of some other place or dimension, maybe there you would belong. I have always found beauty in the endless black, and colors we might think space to be. I have seen beauty in the idea of seeing a whole other space then the planet we have worked on here. This is why I have been, and was interested in the idea of viewing somewhere else. As a home poet, and writer, I have not much but my own felt wisdom over time. Through tears and self discovery, I wish to expand my knowledge and views besides those on Earth. My art reflecting nature, maybe I can offer different art of the stars and shapes of other lands. Hopefully many can be positive, and think to become enlightened, wanting to make a space to belong in a new peaceful light.

As parliamentary elections come to an end, it's good to consider what will happen if many of us spend our remaining lives in space.  After just one year, Scott Kelly's gene expression was permanently altered.  Among the many changes, one in particular caught my eye: the lengthening of his telomeres.  These structures have been linked to cellular aging; could we radically extend our lives by moving into space?

Asgardia’s governmental bodies and officials shall not intervene in elections, put pressure on citizens, or falsify elections.

Lately I've been getting a lot of these "Vote for me" messages. If I vote for you it will be because I agree with your views and feel that you well be a good candidate for Parliament. If I am being pressured into voting for someone I feel less likely to cast my vote for that particular person. Not only that, it goes against the constitution pressuring people to vote for you.

One of my main areas of focus is communications and digital infrastructure.  I hope that by the time Asgardia makes it to the moon, there is a rich set of services available.  If not, then we must build it!

I hereby announce my candidacy for the Parliament of Asgardia, representing District #1.  My platform is focused on four areas: privacy, data security, technology, and exploration.  Though our government is still in its infancy, I believe we can lay the ground work for a promising future.

My first year will focus on communications and digital infrastructure.  In subsequent years we will expand on this to start developing our technology and physical infrastructure, eventually leading towards our first human habitation in space.

Asgardia... I just found you, or was it you that found me? I hope this is a nation that will not fall to lust and greed as my native country has long before my birth. After reading the constitution, I have high hopes. It seems to me that things are being done as they should be - with respects to our humanity. :)

I need a good friend to show me around Asgardia, I want to get involved with this beautiful community and country. I hope one day we can bring back the deceased first 2.000 Asgardians hopefully through advancements in Science and Technology. I know we have a long way to go from that technology, but it can be achievable with a combined effort from Scientists and Medical Science over 300 or 400 years; now I'm not afraid of death, but I could do so much more for Asgardia in another lifetime.
