A bright new future

Humanity has come a long way since the days of hunting and gathering our meals and sleeping on rocks. However we have a long way to go until we can say that we have reached the Golden Age. Disease, death, hate, intolerance, discrimination, denial, destruction, and slow progress must ...

While we do appreciate and share your concerns for our Constitution, a better forum for your discussion would be on the current post specifically for the Constitution Draft . This post will be closed, to be continued in the appropriate location. Thank you for understanding. ...

Not a problem: just to know how to interpret it.
Someone would write: " Would you rather have _____ run this? "

With nationalism being the biggest seperator to humanity should we call Asgardia a nation? We should be a federation since we encompass all nationalities & many organizations. Mutual segregation seems inevitable considering the difference in politics each group will identify with.

I see it similar to the Federated States of Micronesia. Many seperate islands that have come together to become one whole body.

I'd consider each "station" or installation a "city" more than an independant "state". However, all facilities are not going to be the same, different places doing different things. Therefore the same operating rules, policies and procedures are going to be unsuitable for universal application. Just in the way each city ...

Nation is both a generic and technical term with a broad range of meanings. I don't think it's necessary to specify that we do not mean it as a nationalist term. If we were to use an alternate term, the appropriate ones include country, state, polity, realm, and land. Federation ...

No one wants to donate for T shirts, buttons, hats, advertisement for more funding... With millions of dollars. What will be our first steps to creating earth to leo transport then a habitat? That is the big questions that require answer(s). Worry about all this petty political issues later. Anything ...

Quite basically, they're too small. I can't build a three ½ meter long arm for a centrafugal launcher, it just won't fit. And that's just the first thing I thought of - I'm sure I can provide an entire list of why it'd be no good to me, and an ...

Because biggelow possibly might want some financial compensation for this, and they are generally unstuitable for my purposes. Unless of you'd mean for long term habitation, then it's vastly unsuitable. When it comes to long term residence in space, you want safe not cheap. Well, you can sit in the ...

My team is trying to gauge the audience for a new product and as Asgardian citizens, we would like to get some feedback from the community as well. Not sure if this will be an issue in Asgardia, but all technological innovation can be useful in some regard, so, if ...

An effective design project needs to begin with a set of precise and realistic requirements and constraints. Even at this early stage, there are two sets with which to get started on systems for permanent habitation. The first are requirements for human life: • A habitat shall provide substantial gravity ...

Okay saw the questions, I will address both. There are some issues with using L1 point for a colony. A lagrangian point is a point in space where the pull of gravity is equally matched by two or more bodies, if memory serves. Using the lagrangian points has its advantages ...

Thank you very much Brandon for the highlight ! And I agree with Clive about the location at the Lagrange Point even if the position between the moon and the earth will block a part of the harvestable light.
