It's still a theory, not hard proof of it. I would like if there is prove of it, it would mean that life will be more exciting than it now every could be in a life time. Because you know there is so much more possible than we now know. Totally different alien races with there believes of everything and there technology. Beside of that, we have the possibility to gain such technology than waiting millions of years to invent it.

Long time ago, when I was a boy, I read "The Stainless Ssteel Rat" novels. From these novels I learned that there is a language - Esperanto. At the end of the book was written, if someone is interesting in learning of Esperanto, then he can write a letter. What else need to a nerd teenager? Find an envelope to send a letter abroad, write the letter in bad and broken english, pay a fee, send the letter and wait. That was an adventure. About half a year later, when I had already stopped waiting, came an answer with a proposal "...to contact the nearest Esperanto center for the study...", which, of course, was no in my city. But the interest has not dissapered. In 1995, being a student, I got access for money to the Internet in one of computer centers of our university. I found, downloaded and printed a dictionary and some kind of grammar textbook and tried to study on my own. Unfortunatelly nothing good came of it. There were no friends wondered in Esperanto, very expensive internet access... After about a half year my interest began to fade out and I drop that. Since then, Esperanto for me is a dead language with a good idea behind it. The idea was greate but result... For me the result is bad. Now I remember only one simple sentence: "Saluton, vi parolas Esperaton?"
