I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the fine candidates who rose to this MOMENTOUS occasion of expressing their vision of a better world with Asgardia as a part of that. Also, I thank everyone who voted and took this election seriously. I am certain all of our elected candidates will now seriously organize together and act to deliver us a government worthy of all of us. One to make us all proud, until our population doubles and then it is time for a reelection. If the present trend of new applicants continues, we might be having elections again in less than six months!

I, for one, am increasingly inspired to engage with all of you to determine what it is you want in your Asgardian government. Does anything in my platform inspire you? What's your vision of Asgardia next year? 10 years from now? 100 years from now! What does our newly arranged culture of Asgardia mean to you on this planet Earth in the year 2018? The race is on, so I will expand on my platform now that I've had more time to consider some of the items on my agenda I will be working on as a citizen of Asgardia, whether I am elected or not. I will also expand more on who I am, so you will know that voting for me is the best choice for Asgardia's future.

PLATFORM ADDENDUM

- Nationhood - One of Asgardia's ambitious goals is to become recognized by the United Nations as a state. I am interested in working to communicate the important nature of this goal to all Asgardians as well as the entire global population and to inspire others to assist in achieving this. One way to potentially accelerate statehood is to develop Asgardia's space program and place our first habitable space station in Earth's orbit, a feat achieved only by very few nations. My immediate goal will be to connect Asgardia with the Space Settlement Challenge, put together a team of interested Asgardians, and propose (by April 10th) to the SSC's organizers a plan that views Asgardia as the perfect torchbearer of a space habitat project. For those of us hoping for a permanent home in orbit, this could be the seed that grows into that reality. Technologies like Bigelow Aerospace's B330 Habitat and space delivery companies like SpaceX could help Asgardians realize these goals in an achievable timeframe. They could be further accelerated by opportunities such as the SSC. The global response and recognition would be enormous. All options will be considered in the plan's development.

- Blockchain for Asgardia's economy and governance - There is already much excited chatter throughout our community about blockchain-based cryptocurrency (digital cash) being utilized as the basis for trade (Solars and Lunars). I believe we should use blockchain technology to not only create an equitable and transparent economy but also to deliver an easy-to-use, tamper-proof voting mechanism for future elections as is being tested by several nations worldwide.

- Environmental shepherding - I believe one of our primary tests as the dominant species is to overcome our unsustainability, and something in my heart tells me that the people who joined Asgardia have this sense of urgency and wield the knowledge, skills and talents that can help determine the course of how we all get there. We all have the network to achieve what we are setting out to do. Asgardia connects us. It binds us together by the feelings and lessons we received from our favorite science fiction writers and embarks us on our own peace-faring mission to... have a better home as we explore off-world. The mission isn't to escape Earth before it's too late. It is to realize an age where we recognize Earth as the most easily terraformable planet that humans have available to them. That, in mastering the sciences in doing so, will help guide us in performing this task on potential future homeworlds. You can read more about my agenda regarding this on my campaign platform.

- Better website - I demand a better website that allows Asgardians to rapidly and effectively organize and that intrigues the masses. 'Nuff said.

MORE ABOUT ME

During the last 7 years, I founded and am President of the Able Bionics Foundation, which raises money that allows people with mobility impairments to walk again using robotic exoskeletons. As a quadriplegic, I use an exoskeleton for my walking therapy and have even had the opportunity to pitch my company to the Dragons on CBC's Dragons' Den. I am a writer, musician and filmmaker, and also an avid scuba diver. I volunteered for several years with Vice President of The United States Al Gore's organization, The Climate Reality Project. I am currently working on developing my own medical exoskeleton that will help people crawl again, as well as creating a new, cutting-edge social media app called Yuser. I am an alumni of the International Space University.

Thank you fellow Asgardian for reading my platform and being a part of our unique movement to becoming a peaceful and space based nation. This movement will require an initial government led by radically courageous individuals, and I believe my life so far has prepared me to successfully take on the responsibilities of the FIRST Minister of Science. Growing up, I've always looked at life through the lens of science and determined that the main objective of human beings should be the development of technology necessary to defend our homeworld (and other planets) from planet-killing asteroids. Another asteroid WILL inevitably impact Earth at some yet-to-be determined time, and when that day does come, it will destroy everything we have ever dreamed and worked for. Before an effort of that magnitude can be realized though, a certain level of world peace and habitability must be restored. We, as citizens of Asgardia, believe ultimately in peace and the preservation of our habitat, so we must be the torchbearers of the guiding light that is science to assist our fellow humans achieve these goals soon. We then may all continue to move on to a far more meaningful way. Your vote means a lot to me, and I will gladly respond to your questions and comments about my platform or on how I will carry out my duties as your Minister of Science to the best of my ability. Voted :)  Yeah, all the rule changes were confusing but we need to put a government together to start moving forward. Get out there and cast your votes Asgardians.

How is it we see the organization of groups that call themselves Pro-black, Pro-female, Pro-religion..... A benefit to society, when in fact as it is known for every action there is an opposite and equal re-action. And the very creation of these groups inspires one to think, wheres the freedom in being made to feel as though if you do not relate to a "Pro" group, and that you must be a non-contributing member of the movement for Freedom and Equality if you do not belong to any such group. But the reality is if you are Pro-black.. You are Anti-white, if you are Pro-female.. You are Anti-male, if you are Pro-religion.. you are judgemental of those who are not..

Just a paradoxial thought..

So if you want some friendly advice, in order to truly begin your journey towards freedom, embrace that you must not find one thing amongst this earth greater or less than yourselves but always equal to.

It is imperative that we, as a people, are immediately identifiable and recognizable. Should we wish to interact peacefully with the Earth States as shown in the Constitution, our presence on the World Stage is an absolute necessity. I would therefore move to create a smartphone app, as well as orchestrate several media campaigns to spread word of Asgardia's existence: most likely through the use of YouTubers within our numbers and assistance AI such as ThunderClap.

Nobody can open trade, commerce, or negotiations with us until we are known, and a simple website is not enough. As a strategist, I fully intend to coordinate the citizens of our nation so as to increase our numbers and prosperity.

Hello everyone,

I've notice a phenomemenon of schools teaching student about their duty, moral. What is allowed to do, what is not. But I haven't heard a lot of schools teaching student about their rights. We often heard that we should coorporate with police (I'm not saying we shouldn't), but they didn't tell student they have the right to remain silent. They tell student its their duty to vote, but they didn't tell them voting is a right. They have the choice to vote and the choice not to. My point here is, people should know their right granted by the constitution, Knowing the rights they have to protect themselves, and should know what they are capable to do within the constitution and the law.

We really need a like button, it such a pain to see there's some comment that you agree on but you can't express you agree with it. Although I do notice some concerns if we add a like button, people will just make post that will attract the most like but I do think it's necessary since it's a way to show people someone agrees with them.
