Recently, US president Donald Trump have imposes a 90-day ban on travellers from 7 Muslim-majority countries. Although the ban is clumsy and poorly thought out (I guess most people would agree). The reason behind it "protect the United States from foreign nationals entering from countries compromised by terrorism and a ...

While a good idea on paper, a travel ban either aimed at specific groups of people or individuals is pointless. There is a way around everything and people find those ways when they really want to. The best thing we can do is be dilligent and put the proper vetting ...

As Asgardia is an international effort that should be disconnected from power struggles of earthly nations, most terrorists don't have any motivation to attack Asgardia. Except for extremely lunatic fanatics that want to destroy our bid to explore space. Which implores that said fanatic is totally anti-science. Difficult to fly ...

After receiving the certificate of asgardian, I been start to wondering. We can always discuss topics on the web, but we do not have any idea of whats really happening in real life, we do have address from our founding father but still we have no idea how the progress ...

When I recieved mine I wondered if this is supposed to be a government or a day care. IMHO, video conference is just a massive waste of bandwidth, but ofc this is just my opinion. Some sort of regular Q&A session might be usefull for some folks - and not ...

Hi, With all due respect, I do not found the forum is user friendly enough. I try to subscribe to topic for example: economics but I find out I can only subscribe to a single post in that category but not the entire topic. I do hope that in the ...

What kind of system is being looked at for this? A copper medium transmission system like a gigabit LAN setup or a FODMS (Fiber Optic Data Multiplex System)? We could have a FODMS setup with IOUs through out the station to act as a transfer/data converter. EITHER the system it ...

Fibreoptics would seem the most likely, however, by the time we get around to actually building stations it's likely better technology will exist - like devices leveraging quantum entanglement.

After reading about the diamond batties, I thought about the solar winds. We could build Dyson-Harrop satellite/s and depending on the length of the collector wire and sail completely power the station using the charged electrons from the solar winds. WE could also have something alon the lines of Tesla's ...

Stirling engines are frequently used in the dish version of Concentrated Solar Power systems. A mirrored dish similar to a very large satellite dish directs and concentrates sunlight onto a thermal receiver, which absorbs and collects the heat and using a fluid transfers it into the Stirling engine. The resulting ...

The problem with solar panels is the frequency with which they will require to be replaced. They typically burn out within 25yrs even inside atmosphere, and outside such protections lifespan can be much shorter - the best mitigation techniques to this at best adding on another 5 yrs. How do ...

The biggest problem this world has today is greed. The Asgardia constitution should maintain citizens rights and freedoms. At the same time it must limit the possibility of a dictator or an authoritarian government. The future of our spices MUST be that of freedom.

Call me a Fan Trekkie, but I hope that in Asgardia we won't have corporations at all. I kind of hope we'll grow past that state and just focus on the People working with Government with chosen leaders.
