Please send us more information as to what will be expected of all Asgardian professionals such as Engineers (I'm an Engineer myself), doctor's, lawyers etc. etc. to do once we are a Nation? What do I mean by this? Well, I'm looking for some sort of direction that we can be given and that we can take to improve Asgardia and any Space based assets that may come our way within the next 10-30 years or longer.

We have a lot of eager people who are willing to do a lot for this new Nation. Once the world recognizes us as a Nation, we will have to begin to produce and be productive members of the world. We should hold lectures on Forming Businesses, Engineering, Medicine, Sciences, Finance, Education, Sports & Entertainment and Law and Politics.

We should stand up some Learning platform online where all Citizens of Asgardia (those of us who have accepted the Constitution and verified our information on this site) can go Log on to the site and take courses that will be needed now and in the Future, like Maths, Science, Engineering, Programming and the like.

The National Bank can be set up at any time. As can the BlockChain SOLAR crypto-currency, that money should be made available to all verified Asgardians before the rest of the world can purchase or mine for those coins.

We should also look into Security Forces. A Nation will need to defend itself, not only from outside Nations, but from internal strife. A Police and Fire Fighting organizations will also be needed.

Lets begin by talking about all of this and setting up some of the badly needed institutions.

I wrote this a while ago for a brief training course I had to give to my fellow engineers when our departments were combining. Its very basic and it needs a bit more work. But it will have to do for the purposes I have in mind.

Often times people think that, if we think of something, that it can be built with no issues and its a done deal. The process of creating something a product or process has steps you must follow. It also needs a timing schedule and cost of development, cost of the people's salary/wages, cost of materials. I don't think most people really think about these types of things. Then you have a program manager, Program or Product Engineer, Systems Engineers, Hardware and Software Engineers and a few to very many technicians, you may even have Subject Matter Experts (SME). Then you have a customer to deal with. I have always told people that Engineering is 10% actual work, and 90% documentation. Your Documents are key to a good product.

I hope this gives you some basic understanding of what it takes to be an Engineer working for an aerospace firm.

ENGINEERING PRINCIPLES: THE BASICS

USER REQUIREMENTS:

1. Requirements – This is what the customer(s) want the product to accomplish.
   1. Hardware Requirements – Power supply voltages, wiring, timing, types of materials to be used etc. etc.
   2. Software Requirements – What the software is supposed to accomplish and how it is to do it.
   3. System level Requirements – Overall view of what the product is supposed to do, how it works with other products within a system.
2. Low Level requirements are the nuts and bolts of what the product is supposed to do. These give you the details of your hardware and software
3. High Level requirements are a general overview of what the product is supposed to do.

Requirements are put into statements such as: The box SHALL operate in -200 degree F, temperatures. The box MAY operate in -500 degree F, temperatures, or box WILL operate in -1000 degree F, temperatures.

WILL - Statements are a must have in your design.

MAY - Statements are a maybe/wants in the design.

SHALL - statements are musts as well, but can be changed if needed.

TESTING:

1. It becomes necessary to create test sets for the proper testing of the product. Unless we can use another companies test equipment. We may need to build our own.
2. Creation of test procedures
3. Creation of test reports
4. System integration
5. Tests should be standard
   1. Must be robust
   2. Must test the limits of the product
      1. Upper limits
      2. Lower limits
      3. Middle
      4. Must test the unit to fail – this helps to work out the bugs (in other words when I test I want my tests to make the unit under test to fail, I’m testing the robustness of the unit and software). You will be amazed at the things you learn when you make the unit fail. The upper limits of the unit especially.

QUALITY:

1. Need to perform all Engineering activities to a quality specification (the following are examples)
   1. ISO9001 (for example) - Aerospace always follows ISO standards
   2. FAA regulations
   3. NASA or EASA or some other Space organization
2. Documentation
   1. Requirements documents
   2. Hardware design documents
   3. Software design documents
   4. Test procedure
   5. Test reports
   6. Equipment specification
   7. User manuals
   8. Glossary of terms
   9. Verification and traceability matrix document

Personel

1. Must be trained as an Engineer
   1. Hold a degree and or proper certifications
2. Must be a trained technician
   1. Hold a certification/license
3. Quality
   1. Must be trained in proper quality management

Asgardia, I believe has a real chance at becoming something real and something great. People need to realize that the creation of any Nation does not and will not happen over night. There is so much that needs to happen. Not only in terms of a Constitution, Flag, National Anthum and Coat of Arms, but the logistics of actually creating the institutions that help run a country (Local Governments, State Governments, National Government, even department of education, State, energy etc. etc.) I could go on and on.

People need to know that (In my humble opinion) I believe that Dr. Igor has the best intentions of everyone at heart. Of course, it would be nice to hear more on what he is doing? What are these Space Platforms we are hearing about, how many people can they house. The FAQ states one will be ready in about 10 years with Humans flights to it starting in 8 years. This leads me to believe that the Platform is already in the Development stages. But by whom and where?

Many people have great ideas on what they would like to see and do on a Space Station. I hope he is listening and knows what the people are asking for. Maybe one day we will be living in space and we will need the various things that people are talking about, but until then we should work together to build a better world down here on Earth in our own countries, in our own backyards.

Right now I feel as if this is becoming one big joke to many people. Everyone on here wants to be able to go to space and live there. So far we have people in the Forums running for office, but they have no idea what type of office position they will hold. What is a Local Leader anyway? How does one become one? What do they do?

How about the Leadership of this new Nation, posts a video or something stating what's going on?

All the people on here are speculating upon what to do. How to do it, and no one knows for sure what will be allowed, if Asgardia will be built, and sent up to Space. No one knows how much this will cost, how much per person will have to pony up. In my opinion, I think Dr. Igor will only select the smartest, most educated people to go up to the Space Platform with him. Until it is built up (which could take decades or more to complete), the rest of the people will be stuck on Earth complaining about whether or not Pot or McDonalds will be legal on Asgardia.

The premise is great, Live, work and play on a Space Station. A new Nation, with New Constitution (that so far reads as a joke, with many flaws), a flag and song. OH well. I'm not sure I will be a part of this for much longer. But we will see.

Asgardia is now reminding me of a giant Role Playing Game, minus the dice. Too many people are making what I consider speculation as to the nature of Asgardia and who will design the Station. In my expert opinion, the design work has been done by the Founder and his firm or a firm that he has already chosen. The Satalite has been completed and was designed many many moons ago before the site was operational, I bet. Meaning all of this has been planned many many years in advance.

People are really itching to get this project off the ground (pun intended) and start living off world. Why do i think the design work has already been done or is in the process of, because looking through the FAQ, it says in 10 years we will have a Space Platform and in 8 we will have humans being able to goto the platform.

Im just thinking that Asgardia has too many unanswered questions for all of us, that the leadership has to answer.

The People who have signed up to become citizens are asked to vote on a constitution that is very flawed at best and dangerous at worst. Read it and reread it multiple times if needed. You will need to know your rights as a citizen.

As to the game reference, well role a 20 amd you get to go to space, role a 1 and the rocket carrying you blows up upon launch.

Id like to see whom is going to be the first people allowed on the Space Station. What kinds of educated and uneducated people alike will be allowed. I think the Founder will set a quota or some sort of criteria that says this person or that person is allowed or not allowed. Like who will benefit the station and the leadership more over the other?

I digress, I want to see this succeed as much as anyone else. I just have many questions that will go unanswered until the founder repliessome day.

It's important that as we start to move off-world that retain what was important and special about our home communities. Long Beach has a soul and I want to make sure that soul can survive the vacuum of space. Long Beach has much to offer and it should be properly represented.

I am an Engineer, I have been since 2000. I started off as an Avionics Technician in the US Navy, then went on to become an Instrumentation Calibration technician in the biomedical industry. I now work for an Aerospace Firm in the Los Angeles, CA area near LAX airport. I'm a Systems Engineer. I make sure my systems works with the other systems in the Aircraft, the same ones you fly in when traveling on Vacation.

I work on complex systems, that tell the ground crews to replace the landing gear, or another avionics box is broken and to replace it. It monitors the health of the engines and aircraft as a whole.

Am I an expert on all things Aerospace? No, I have a lot to learn, but I am learning day by day and take a bunch of courses to further my education.

Is Asgardia, going to be up and running in my lifetime, I really don't think so. It will take a large firm to get the basics down, like the station structure , life support, radiation shielding, water, heating and cooling, waste, and that is just to start.

Is there a plan of action on the founders Part? If there is, we have no idea. I hope there is. I hope he is already planning on creating this station with a Firm of his choosing or creation. I would love to be a part of it, but I do not think he will open the design phase to just any one single engineer.

We shall see. Don't give up the ship just yet my friends.

For me, Asgardia means, new life, hope, change, exploration and challenge.

I think for many people it means different things, but we have all signed up to become citizens. We have all joined in some of the discussions (see forums and blogs), we have also begun the voting process for our Constitution, Flag, National Song, and our leadership (I'm running, I hope you will vote for me!) We have begun the first step to a new era in space and a new era of humanity.

So, tell me what does Asgardia mean to you?

With the likes of Elon Musk at SpaceX and Tesla, it takes a certain type of person to make positive change in our world. The creation of a great All Electric car (Tesla), and an inexpensive mode of space flight (reusable rockets) at SpaceX has ushered in a new era of space exploration and the way we use Electricity.

Asgardias founder has come up with what I believe to be a great idea, a New Nation. The First Space Nation - ASGARDIA. The beginning of which was just a thought and a website where millions of people could join for free to become citizens of this New Nation. I signed up almost right away. Like many of you, I want the chance at a new and interesting future for all of our families. With global climate change and wars and who knows what lay beyond our Earth Orbit ready to destroy the Earth. The likes of S. Hawkin saying we need to be a two or more species, Elon Musk saying he will build a colony on Mars, it makes it all the more reason to get off world and living in space.

So, how are we going to go about this? I believe we have already taken the first step and signed up to become citizens of Asgardia. We are also voting for the Constitution, Flag, National Song and our Leaders (one of which is me).

I have many questions about Funding, Research and Development of new technologies that will go into the Space Station and our Constitution.

"Article 13. Financial Resources" - Constitution of asgardia

As it states in the Constitution of Asgardia in Article 13. Financial Resources #2 Asgardia's currency shall be a monetary unit named SOLAR. Under #4 SOLAR shall be issued by the National Bank of Asgardia in the amount tied to the parameters of the Moon, the Sun, the other celestial bodies set by a special law of Asgardia. The National Bank of Asgardia shall be a lender of last resort.

What does "in the amount tied to the parameters of the Moon, the Sun, the other celestial bodies set by a special law of Asgardia" actually mean?

How is the space station actually going to be funded? Are the citizens of Asgardia going to be taxed on the "SOLAR" currency in order to conduct R&D, Construction and upkeep/maintenance of the space station?

Are we tying "SOLAR" to the gold standard, crypto currency, number of Dogs and Cats people have?

If we created the "SOLAR" currency as a Crypto Currency and issued say $1,000,000,000 coins, possibly giving each citizen $250 to 2000 SOLAR coins to start out with, and after that we can purchase them on the open market or mine them as people do with Bitcoin, maybe we could gain the confidence of the People of Earth and be able to get started on creating the Space Station where Asgardian's will be living on.

By the way, how is the Satellite, Asgardia-1 funded and who built it?  What company built it and how many more are we planning on building?

In the future wh fund these projects - Space Station, launches to and from Station, cargo, food, water and air, medicine etc. Who will fund the R&D, construction and operation/maintence of said equipment?

Once Asgardia becomes a recognized Nation and all of us who have become citizens or at least signed up to become citizens, will we be paying taxes? have to renounce our citizenship of the country of origin?

I have many questions, I hope someone can answet these?

I would like to be elected to hold office in Asgardia, I've lead teams of 2-25 men and women while in the Military and teams of 2-20 Engineers (Hardware, Software and Systems Engineers) and Technicians in the Aerospace industry. I get things done and I am always learning new things to improve myself and those that I lead.

I am educated and constantly back in school taking courses in Engineering, software and cyber security and other fun and informative courses. I have a B.S. Degree in IT, Certifications in Electronics and Avionics as well as Cyber Security and management/leadership certifications. I'm currently working on my Masters Degree in Engineering Management.

I would like the chance to get this Great New Nation off the ground and running. I will work to improve our Constitution, Work to get funding for the Space Station, Work with other Earth Nations to improve space flight safety and make it more accessable to everyone. I can see adding Term Limits to the Constitution for both MPs and the Head of State. Call for Free and Fare elections, Proper Educational system for the masses (to include Primary School and Secondary School - University. A limit on donations to MP's.

I believe humanity is on the cusp of a new dawn of exploration, technology and understanding. We must work together for the betterment of humanity. We must reach a deeper level of love, peace and understanding between all peoples.
