For those wondering when we're going to be going into space..we're not that close to building our space station. But, that doesn't mean you have to wait. Elon Musk just announced two private citizens will get to make a trip around the moon. Those people have not been publicly named yet, as they are waiting medical checks to ensure they will be healthy enough. What's your thoughts on this venture?

So, here's a question I've long considered after reading "Sphere". I'm wondering what the possibility of creating a suit, or pod design for spacecraft to encapsulate a person with liquid. This would allow them to take extreme amounts of g-forces without blacking out, or suffering injury. I know that the French worked with a basic suit design, but they found the water in the liner would pool towards the center of the person. The design used in 'The Abyss' with fully immersed, does only so good, and for only so long. I'm scuba certified, and know the amazing pressures that just going down to 100' of water can do to someone. But putting that pressure on a system that's surrounding an individual...there's a different story. Could that be implemented in capsule design to protect future space crews? What would be the effect on the craft as well?

What month of 2017 would work best for you to attend an event in Oregon State? Some things to note: While I am from Washington, I would be more than willing to travel to a half-way point on the west coast. This is why, tentatively, I chose Oregon. If a better state would be more suitable for this then by all means, let us change it. I would like to get the ball rolling and so over the next couple of weeks we can hammer out a plan that works for the majority (as lets be honest, it will not work for EVERY one of us)... Let's get some input and put together the first large scale Asgardian Meeting in North America. All are welcome to attend American or not. I'm looking at possibly a three day weekend event where we can get a large group rate at a hotel, use a low or no cost gathering hall or conference center and cap it off with a family friendly event such as a theme park. All ideas welcome, all suggestions thus far are very loose. Provide the input, Lets make it happen! Think family friendly. There are lots of registered youngsters in Asgardia. Also bear in mind that while it would be exciting to do this tomorrow, many people will need sufficient advance notice to save money for the trip and provide ample time to work vacation plans through the workplace. Good After-noon Asgardia. after reviewing the two other posted topics, I would like to discuss the possibility of beginning and administrating (not necessarily me but I would have not problem being an elected agent for the fund) a donated pool of money specifically for Asgardians and their immediate (I.E. dependents) family when in distress. I am 28 and in the U.S. Navy. Once a year I elect to donate to a fund called the Navy and Marine Corps Relief society. This money is given to the society as a charitable contribution and then re-dispersed on an as needed and emergency basis to military and their dependents during times which they need it most. Some causes which someone might ask for help from N.M.C.R.S might be but are not limited to a death in the family and a plane ticket is needed when funds aren't available, someone's vehicle has stopped working and it is crucially relied upon by the family to make ends meet (a repair bill might be paid for example). There are many reasons why someone might need help from the community. More-over I think that the community wants very much so to help it-self. This would be a great way to do that. To ensure that nobody wrongfully becomes entitled to money they don't actually need, a strict set of rules would be implemented so that people could not make multiple requests for aid in a year or so. The donations and dispersals would be closely audited to prevent fraud and embezzlement. Let me know what you all think. Is there an accountant and a legal agent that might be able to chime in on this? Also someone from the Ministry of Administrative Affairs that might have an official response? Hello everyone! While it would have been easier to understand a subject line with something like Washington State, USA... I have decided to take the step of no longer identifying the country I reside in but rather the region of Asgardia in which I reside. Wont you all please do the same with me? My name is Levi and I grew up here in North America. I am a 28 year old male and serving in the United States Navy. Currently, I am on Shore duty and plan to get out in 2019. Hopefully, Asgardia will be a little more developed by then and I will be able to better assist in any way that I can, Though I have no doubt that this will be the case. Asgardian administration has done a great job getting thing on the roll in such a short amount of time. Imagine two years from now? To whom it may concern: I look forward my new country men and women. If you would like to meet some time please send word my way! I know the North American forum page under "West" is talking about a roving meet-up. If anyone has any questions for me ask away!

I would do just about anything to be one of the first established Asgardians, but how can I increase my chances? Will some Asgardians never actually reach Asgardia? Will we expand the station once we are set up there to allow more citizens? Will we need extensive training before being allowed to be in Asgardia?

I am currently an master student major in computer science with some real industrial experience (half year internship). I think I could help to improve the website or build other stuff. If there is anything that I could potentially help. Please let me know. Thanks!

Thanks again to all the admins that have been doing a great job on everything as we move forward! I'll start by saying I'm very excited to be starting this journey with many other Asgardians! I look forward each day to see where our new nation will be leading us. I'm an avid science & tech nerd that has never wanted to sit in the background with technology. Going forward, and upward, is where I've always felt we need to go. From exploring the depths of the oceans, to the oceans of the stars. To introduce myself a little bit better, though. I'm currently a Network Admin/Help Desk technician for a company that provides jobs/job support for mentally and physically disabled individuals. I help to maintain, setup, and update our network systems and individual workstations. I love coming in each day to see what new project we'll be working on. Currently, we are running over 35 different Windows 2008/2012 r2 servers, (with only 7 being actual physical). We just went live with Skype for Business in our network, and I had the joy of working and training the majority of our users, (that was fun...). I have been in the IT industry now for about 5 years, but have been around computers for over 30. Before I got my degree as a network admin, I spent 10 years as a residential/commercial plumber. Weird transition, I know..but not if you think about troubleshooting. Both fields have problems that base around a puzzle. Solve the puzzle, and you solve the problem. That's why I love them both so much. I still do plumbing side-jobs when they come up. I also spent the first 4 years our of high school in the U.S. Marine Corps, as a Communications Center Operator/Supervisor. I loved the military structure and discipline, and the closeness of our teams. I love to work in those environments and can't wait to be able to help our nations group go forward. I'm always a little bit unsure on where I can help, as I can do so many different things. While I don't have degrees in science or engineering, it doesn't mean I can't do the job. I follow SpaceX regularly and always look forward to their next launch waiting to see their 1st-stage systems land on the barge, or terra-firma. I love explaining the fascination of their abilities, but also why it can improve our way of life and exploration. It's amazing when you break down the physics of launching, then landing on something that's 400 miles out to see.
