Asgardia needs a good coordinator to see itself grow and flourish. A person that can not only see the big picture but make it come about. I am nominating myself for this position, raising 4 boys, a lovely wife, two jobs, and multiple hobbies and leadership responsibilities, this position was made for me.

I figured that a new home would also be a good place for a new start- it's my hope that this blog serves as a time capsule of sort for family or friends who read it, specifically my daughter.  If a day comes where you are reading this, you're 3 years old now and always growing.  You have a curious mind and love to learn about the world around you.  No doubt if you found this place, something led you here, perhaps the same sense of exploration and curiosity that your father has.

As things continue to change in the US, it's important that people give themselves a presence, even if it's only symbolic.  On that note, you have 3 places to call home- the US (from your dad), Canada (from your mother), and Asgardia.  One day, through the efforts of many, you'll be able to see that Asgardia has become more than just a name- it's truly a place for those who want to really venture into another place, and one day, another world.

As we near closer to the new goal of 100,000 affirmative votes for the constitution I keep seeing the same protest comments over the voting process come up, and, in many of these cases I'm not seeing actual arguments against the constitution as its written. While there are plenty of those to be found, and they are legitimate, I'd like to focus on the arguments against voting simply because of the process.

While I recognize, a clearly defined yes or no vote system would be preferable, rather than the existing system, which counts a no if you access and then leave the page without voting to ratify, I don't feel this is a sufficient reason to not wish to vote for the constitution. The overarching mechanisms are present both for establishing the government as well as amending the document to address concerns. Further, the power of the citizenry to forward amendments rather than going through their elected bodies is also established. This is a "first run" at things and for that I feel that where the constitution is lacking it makes up for these in providing fair mechanisms of revision. Given this strength I strongly encourage affirmative votes, however, this is a digression. Ultimately, every nation has bumps in the road in its formation and it is heartening for me that the major bump we're encountering is a procedural one rather than larger ethical concerns. If you are refraining from voting due to procedural concerns, please remember that these are the first grasps at organization as we migrate to a full legal body with ministries who will be in charge of elections which can properly address these concerns through parliamentary law. Changing the voting method after so many votes have already been counted would corrupt the tally and require all Asgardians to vote again. Your concerns are noted, and in my case agreed with, but I implore you that they are better addressed by voting on the merits of the constitution as they currently stand and the rectified via law once we have the legislative framework to do so.

I am committed to contributing what I can in as many facets as possible to develop and direct us to the stars as no longer do they limit the human family. I am asking for your support and vote to gain a foothold in this amazing venture we are a part of. Please give me your vote!  I'm a mother, engineer, and fair-minded individual who wants our species to advance to the next level.  I wish to see us become a post-scarcity society where all needs are met.  I want us to push out into the solar system and beyond - to explore and learn and grow.  I'll do my best to contribute to those goals.

We embark on a journey of that will lead us to new horizons. As someone who has committed himself in the field of peacebuilding and international development. I have worked tirelessly on 4 different continents, tackling some of the most challenging issues that we face as a civilization. I bring with me my expertise from working ti resolve conflicts in N.Africa, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and my home region of N. America.

I'm really concerned. My doctor scared me today. She was looking into my blood work and my white blood cell count was at 16,000... and the asked me of I heard of Leukemia... Now I've not been diagnosed. But still why did she bring it up? Waiting on my new blood work. Might hear something Friday or Monday

I am so excited to become a part of this nation! I see this as the first steps toward humanity living and prospering in space.

I am an avid follower of science and tech in all aspects. I may not be a scientist or work in any of the fields associated with science or tech but it's the only news I follow. I am a photographer and artist, I feel this nation will need people of all walks of life to prosper and my art can aid in its own way.

I look forward to seeing this nation grow and advance humankind in the future!

After reading and accepting the constitution, as well as digesting the other formative documents of the nation of Asgardia, I am truly excited about the possibility the future holds. I imagine a forward-thinking and peaceful society of beings from around the Earth and ultimately the Solar System and Universe.

Humanity has taken it's baby steps toward space and we need to be ready to go headlong into a full-out run towards the heavens. Asgardia will be the only nation from Earth prepared to tackle all of the issues that come into play when we are dealing with multi-national operations in the cosmos. With our focus continually on peacefully expanding our presence and knowledge throughout and of the Universe, we will ensure that our society will thrive.

I am happy to announce that I am running for Government office. The Asgardian government is in its infancy and will surely see many amendments to it's foundation as time marches forward. I want to be an integral part of this formative process and will utilize my background in International Business and technology in the best way possible for the future of Asgardia.

Much conversation is going on in the forums in regard to the draft constitution and going over every word but I was looking over the statements on immorality and anti-social behavior and find their vagueness concerning. While the prohibition against capital punishment and the construction of prisons limits the punishments for these behaviors to suspension/revocation of citizenship, loss of privileges, and fines, I feel the first amendment to the constitution must include, much like the bill of rights in the United States, a clarification of some of this vague language, more specifically to assert which behaviors may not be deemed anti-social or immoral to protect against state discrimination on grounds of political belief, religious belief, sexual orientation, gender identity, and I'm sure others I'm not thinking of at the moment. That is to say that we should insure these may not be deemed immoral excepting where they can be shown to infringe on the rights of other Asgardians or Earthlings or when they conflict with Asgardia's mission and Supreme Values. I would love comments if anyone has ideas for draft language for such an amendment. I'm working on my own but I think a collective discourse on the subject will yield more fully formed ideas.

As an attorney with a deep interest in space exploration and the future of humanity, I am interested in contributing to the legal development of Asgardia. As you know from the Constitution, and from previous posts by Dr. Ashurbeyli, the success of Asgardia will depend greatly on our ability to forge new approaches to the law while simultaneously developing diplomatic relations with other nations. Asgardia, as a space nation, cannot currently exist under international law -- something that will require a focused and nuanced legal approach to change.

Further, as Asgardia develops, its internal legal framework will require those trained in the law. Article 31 of the Constitution sets forth a number of challenges, but experienced leadership will provide a framework to implement the systems we need.

I welcome your responses, your insights, and your support in ensuring Asgardia is more than an innovative internet experiment. A vote for my election is a step in that direction.

I am applying for a position of leadership for many reasons. My biggest reason being I want to be a part of something that will be in our future. Asgardia isn't just some idea made by hopeful citizen's on earth. It's a idea to unite the world in space. The world is fractured, but Space doesn't need to be. Asgardia to me is a beacon of equality and a place where every human is equal. I've been following the developments of Asgardia closely, and when I heard about this plan of asking for leaders I knew I had to step up and try to join.

To many I may be young, but the future is in our youth, and I can bring many ideas that the older generations won't have. I can bring a voice for the new generation of adults. Asgardia is a new idea, and by the time we have a space station, I may be much older but I will have followed it since the beginning. I will have been one of the beginning who voted for the name, who voted for the constitution, who voted for our flag, our anthem, our symbol. I will make sure everyone has voice, much different from how it's in our governments today. Asgardia makes every citizen have voice, and I will amplify that to the top levels. No one will be unheard.

I hope that many of you feel the way that I feel and will vote for me to help make a change. Even if I get nothing, I will still be here, and try to make a change, and help Asgardia become a true Space Nation.
