The compass was used when humans first began studying the sky and has always been associated with the heavens. The equals sign and the compass form a letter A which stands for Asgardia. The letter A is used in Russian, French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, and many other languages. Finally, the color gold was used because of its association with intellectualism and prosperity.
