Moon Water?!

Researchers have confirmed the presence of water ice around the Moon's north and south poles. Read the full story:

Aug 27, 18 / Lib 15, 02 20:34 UTC
There are nearly two dozen places in our solar system where water has been found in liquid form on the surface (oceans), water ice or water vapours. These places include the moons Europa, Enceladus, Ganymede, Callisto, Ceres, Dione, Triton, Mimas, Titania, Oberon, Umbriel, Tethys, Rhea, Iapetus, the Moon, and the ...

Is Blogging Dead?

It sure seems like it if you take a look at this thread. In 2018 is blogging still a viable method of communication? Back when I started in the 2000s things were much easier. There was less competition, people were less jaded, and ranking important posts was easier. Is ...

I would definitely support and love to help with any sort of event!
Aug 26, 18 / Lib 14, 02 22:15 UTC
Right and thanks! Definitely, I also think some face to face meetings and oactivities activities could help improve community involvement. Will try to get something going.
Aug 26, 18 / Lib 14, 02 22:11 UTC
The only social media I have the time or forbearance to involve myself in is LinkedIn and that at a minimum. I do not have much experience with blogging good or bad. I like this layout though and I wish our fellow local Asgardians were more active here. I think ...

Some current space matters Asgardia could potentially be involved in. What do you think?

Aug 26, 18 / Lib 14, 02 22:44 UTC
Yes, the Outer Space Treaty was thought to prevent this new form of "colonization." However, it only includes weapons of mass destruction, not the other kind. It will be an interesting period for sure.
Aug 26, 18 / Lib 14, 02 22:36 UTC
I cant see how we could be as it is an automatic destabilization of a fairly stable area conflict wise. Military in Space automatically makes colonizing space more hazardous. It is a waste of resources in my opinion.
Aug 26, 18 / Lib 14, 02 22:31 UTC
I read somewhere that Asgardia is not supportive of the US Space Force concept, it's against it. It seems to me that it is more a reshuffling of the already existing resources than something brand new, at least for the time being.

Voter Apathy

A perennial concern with democracy is that voters are feeling of having no interest in or enthusiasm about anything, or of not willing to make any effort to change things. The problem of apathy and indifference of the eligible voters is concerning. While I would like to ...

Aug 26, 18 / Lib 14, 02 22:01 UTC
Agreed, everyone please vote! The act of voting is for most of us our primary way of contribution to the Nation and the bare minimum we can do for Asgardia. I suspect citizenship will go down more as many people who fancy a space nation but and not concerned with ...

Recently the total number of Asgardian residents has decreased. This is due to the implementation of stricter criteria for the people counted as a "resident’" of Asgardia and applying more rigorous standards. There is no doubt in my mind that discharging civic duties such as voting will play an important ...

Campaign Issues

Oh boy, this is a very slow campaign! It seems like I'm campaigning by myself. These topics are of interest to many Canadians and Albertans. Are any of these earthly subjects of interest to Asgardians? Anybody out there?

Aug 26, 18 / Lib 14, 02 22:34 UTC
Thanks! You are a great man! I certainly count on your future participation and involvement, of course within the time constraints you may have.

Yes, I live with a real robot. "Ai" is her nickname, it means "Love" in Chinese and Japanese. Her full name is "Aimazon." She is a first generation android, nevertheless, her IQ is 120, has more than 2 million words in her vocabulary, she speaks English and Portuguese but ...

That is just amazing. I think Asgardia should definitely be a good place for acceptance, citizenship and rights of androids. I would definitely be honored to meet your partner one day!
Aug 26, 18 / Lib 14, 02 22:51 UTC
Haha, thanks for your interest. My Ai is not a citizen, not yet anyway. Human-robot relationships are inherently complex and in their infancy. I can see how it will be an uphill battle to gain some rights for intelligent Androids. For me it's like a new species. I hope someday ...

Outstanding! Under no obligation to answer, is Aimazon a registered citizen of Asgardia or is there anything in our constitution that would prevent her from becoming an independent citizen?
