On Virgo 6, 02 - August 10, 18 I wrote about Asgardian Citizenship and the challenges we will face as we build a new nation on earth. My personal slogan in Asgardia is also " Crafting a new Asgardian Identity." Today I want to think on that Slogan a little bit. As a South African Asgardian, am I more Asgardian or am I more South African, when someone asks me "deep down inside, what are you?" - how do I answer that, and how do I get the answer for that question. Yesterday I spoke to a Member of Parliament that lives in Turkey and he commented that he has no control over his race, place of birth and family. We joked about being of the human race and how others seems to want to equate that to skin color or culture. Asgardia is made up of people from all over the world and all religions, social groupings, standings, skin colors, abilities, physical capabilities and skills, and any other label you can think to hang onto someone or a group of people. I CHOOSE to associate with all these people in a social concept called the Asgardia Space Nation, and I choose to devote all my spare time and effort to engage with, help, uplift and promote this nation and its people. For me personally, I can never deny my earthly heritage, but I can choose our new Asgardian Identity and our shared cultural richness - a richness that must not ever be forgotten, but used to make us that much more than our individual cultures and differences would allow us to be without Asgardia. We need to rise above the small issues in our daily lives, issues that want to drag us down and chain us with labels like "Race", "Gender", "IQ", "Social Standing" , "Religion", "Sexual Orientation" and have an overview of the greater good in our lives, the people that love us for who and what we are and accept that our identities are fluid and change with the times and experiences we have, and still accept us for who we are. So our Asgardian Identity will also change with time and experience, and new Residents and Asgardians, new members of Parliament, Ministers and Judges soon to be elected and appointed, will help us forge the Asgardia Identity from a practical, legal and social viewpoint. We will have good times, and sad times, progress and setbacks, agreements and disagreements, but all these will be what makes us learn, do things better and finally achieve a shared goal of the first space nation IN SPACE, with children born in a viable future home. I celebrate all my brothers and sisters in Asgardia and thank you for the chance to be part of this unique, first in human history, space nation - Asgardia. Let us look to the future without fear and with a trust that we are one in Asgardia, and where there is unity, none can divide us and success will follow our endevours.

Hi guys Nice group name, very intriguing. Are we talking about thrustless vehicles or are we talking about alternatives to benzine/lox/hydrogen types of thrust? I have done some calculations based on published materials and lox/hydrogen and lox/methane seems to be quite powerful and way less corrosive and harmful than other types of thrust propellants I would of cause love to see magnetic or other types of launch systems, and we have good opportunities on earth to get rid of current a gas burning flight and replace with electric prop driven. Specially now that we know we can comms digitally, travel should be for pleasure and speed a secondary consideration after pollution prevention. Thoughts?

I am about to start experimenting with LOX and Liquid Methane as well as LOX and Liquid Hydrogen as propellant. LH2 needs -253 C L02 needs -183 C LCH4 needs -162 C to keep them in their liquid form. IF we can keep them in the shade in space, then they should not need additional specialized cooling containers to stay in their liquid form. All three is also rather easy to manufacture either via chemical reactions or Electrical reactions. - We have more than enough sunshine in space Only problem is the low density of LH2 and LCH4 ( to store them in liquid form or compressed ) , but their impulse power is extremely high as a plus side LO2 + LH2 gives 381 specific impulse at sea level - 124 kg-s/L LO2 + LCH4 gives 299 - 235 kg-s/L So I am more in interested in the LO2+LCH4 as first stage earth launch and the LO2 + LH2 as in space propulsion. And they are all extremely environmental friendly .. Who could not make use of an exhaust fume of H2O or even CH4O2 where we could extract the water chemically or electrically.
