I agree that having independent media is important. Though I'm sure that the people who work for the official Asgardian media outlets are excellent people, they are, understandably, very Asgardia positive. And I'm not saying that that is a bad thing. Asgardia is an amazing opportunity and we're all here because we believe in the potential of Asgardia. But if there is no media to criticise the mistakes that the government makes, or to highlight the concerns of the people, then both other people, and the Asgardian government may be mistakenly led to believe that all is well. As such, I fully endorse the creation of independent media to hold the government accountable, and to keep everyone well informed. Unfortunately I personally will not be able to light this torch, and I believe that the creation of independent media may be outside of the scope of this group. But I definitely hope to see a solid form of independent media form. I do, however, wish to caution, that such media should be transparent. As we have seen with the initial steps of Asgardia, a lack of transparency can cause a lot of damage. And other media have caused problems through a lack of transparency, peddling their own opinions as objective facts, pushing agendas (on both sides of the political spectrum unfortunately)... So I do hope that this appears, but I do hope it will do so properly.
