I come from humble beginnings, and despite what opinions may have been  formed about American media's portrayal of 'humble', I, like many of  you, was raised without many modern technologies,and access to higher  education,  however.... as all of my fellow dreamers do, I worked with  what I had, taught myself to understand the emerging connection that we  have called the internet, computer technologies, information and data  sharing, as well as security, the immediate and rapidly growing need for  universally applicable standards for such factors as reliable transfer  speeds.  I have a very firm understanding for the immediate and future  need for education for ourselves and our future generations.  If we are  to survive as a species, we need to solve not only our need to protect  our Earth, our beautiful home, from the threats we now face from outside  our current capacity for detection... but the threats we face to  ourselves from within.  Global warming is on the forefront, and thanks  to the freedoms we have enjoyed in the past until now, we have  discovered that we are all much more alike than we some of us may have  even dreamed possible.  In the time that I have been online and in  contact with people from around the world... and I know most of you may  be young so you may find this hard to believe.... since the late 1980's  (yes, I remember waiting for 2-7 days for a 75MB file to download,  praying that I did not get disconnected)... I have discovered that the  one thing that seems to unite us all at our fundamental core, is the  desire to not only survive, happy, and prosperous, but our desire, no,  our need to contribute to our society and our future, not only for  ourselves but our children.

Now for the first time globally, our very  freedom to exchange ideas is being threatened by divisiveness among our  respective country's leaders and politics.  This is one of the first  issues I intend to address if honored enough to serve in such a  position.  I can apply what I already know, and exchange ideas with  others of like mind and calling in our Great New Nation of Asgardia, to  work with what resources we have and support we can gain to, at the very  least, keep our message of Global Peace and Communication open and  free, to all countries, institutions, leaders and peoples of all faiths  and belief systems or lack of such callings.  We do not seek to  influence or demand, but to serve the survival and cooperation of our  Earth in whole.  This is not only the message I carry, but my creed to  my fellow Asgardians.  As Minister of Science, I pledge my life, my  love, and my time and energy to opening and keeping open the channels of  communication with the scientific and national leaders of this world.
