Since Asgardia is now mostly a digital nation, we need to adopt cutting edge technologies as early as possible. I feel like we need to be a role model nation that is active in adopting new technologies since we are young and more flexible than all earthly nations. This selfie photo was taken at the AltspaceVR event organized by Rose Cheesewright to celebrate our nation's birthday in October. I felt close to asgardia more than any other time. I wish it were a national adoption.

Starhopper has hopped. On 27 August, SpaceX’s stubby spacecraft made its highest and longest flight yet from the firm’s Texas launchpad. The spacecraft’s last test, in July, took it just about 18 metres in the air, but with this test it was planned to fly 150 metres up, hover, and move sideways before gently landing on nearby landing pad. SpaceX has not yet confirmed whether Starhopper reached the full 150 metre altitude, but the flight was clearly far higher than the previous test. It lasted nearly one minute from launch to landing. After the test flight, SpaceX CEO Musk tweeted “one day Starship will land on the rusty sands of Mars”. Starhopper is a prototype of SpaceX’s planned Starship spacecraft, which Musk has said the firm will use to send humans to Mars. Starship will be much larger than Starhopper, with six engines compared to the prototype’s single one. This test was Starhopper’s last. Two teams in Texas and Florida are building bigger prototypes that are more similar to Starship, with three engines each and more robust landing gear. When those are finished, their test flights are planned to take them as high as 20 kilometres. Living in space is not the same as living on Earth. Many things are different. Our bodies change in space. The way we stay clean and neat is different too. In space, astronauts' bodies change. On Earth, our lower body and legs carry our weight. This helps keep our bones and muscles strong. In space, astronauts float. They do not use their legs much. Their lower backs begin to lose strength. Their leg muscles do too. The bones begin to get weak and thin. This is very bad for astronauts' bodies. So, how do astronauts help their muscles and bones? They must exercise in space every day. The heart and blood change in space, too. When we stand up on Earth, blood goes to our legs. The heart has to work extra hard against gravity to move the blood all around the body. In space, without the pull of gravity, the blood moves to the upper body and head. Water in the body also does the same thing. It makes the astronauts' faces look puffy. The blood and water are fluids in the body. These fluids move from the bottom of the body to the top. The brain thinks that there are too many fluids. It will tell the body to make less. When the astronauts come back to Earth, they do not have enough fluids in their systems. It takes their bodies a few days to make more blood and water. The astronauts have to rest so their bodies have time to make new blood and water. If they don't, they can feel very weak.
