Those are some great suggestions on how to make the community experience on the website better. We are working on a website redesign and many of what you suggested are already on the features list to be implemented. It will take some time, probably most of this year, to implement a lot of the new features and changes that are being worked on so we ask the community for their patience." Therefore, the redesign of the site should be expected by the end of the year...

I hope you're sitting down for this one Two years ago I was very enthused and like all young startup organizations they need volunteers. The best way to keep an organization alive and growing is by the grass roots level the local groups. I started a local group on Facebook and on Meetup.com out of my own pocket. I paid for the listings. I was hoping that six months of local meetings would bring some people and form a community. On the official as Asguardian website I listed the meetings time date and place. I also friended through the asguardia website 500 people in the surrounding area. Now let's see how this all played out. Of the 500 people I found they do not check Asguardia emails ever. I do not think there emails are forwarded to their home email account, this is causing a black hole in communication. Of the 500 I received 26 acceptances and of the 26 most of them do not check their emails but once every 6-18 months. As for the Meetup.com I got 17 members none of which ever responded to my emails or ever showed up at a meeting. The Facebook group I got a few likes and no one ever said they were interested in showing up. If you have a local group there is a synergy that goes on and many things may grow out of it. If you have a local group you may travel to another local group to see others and share ideas and celebrations. If you have a local group a merchant class will develop, since there are customers. If you have a local group newsletters will begin to be published and communications with other local groups. If you have a local group people are more likely to travel to other groups. (One group that I have belong to had a camping of event 1000 miles away once a year and had 10,000 people on a regular basis for the last 30 years) If you have a local group people begin to share ideas and talents and skill sets. They also recommend other people and other groups and just contacting a person across the country there is a atmosphere of goodwill and collaboration to help.
