Alright, so Asgardia is a space-faring nation, correct? Well, I've noticed a slight oversight that could cause huge issues later on. At some point in Asgardia's history, we will most definitely run into beings that resemble human beings but are not actually "human" beings. I'm talking of course about extraterrestrial ...

Space is very big. Going ten times the speed of light, it would take you most of a year to go to Proxima Centauri and back from the Earth. Any aliens that entered the solar system would either be a scientific expedition or a generation colony ship. In the former, ...

Seeing that I already live with non human sentience, and have been around it my whole life, I can't see why I or anyone else would have an issue with having non human co-citizens from space if and when and all that jazz.... Peace!

I'm intending to start an actual Earth-based business called Arcturian Industries. We would be a crown corporation (if Igor consents to such a thing) of Asgardia, and our goal as a business would be to fund initiatives related to Asgardia's development, building and repairing whatever is needed. In 10 years, ...

Jun 13, 17 / Can 24, 01 09:26 UTC
Hi guys, this plan was already crafted and proposed by a group about two months ago. The plan was halted because Asgardia is not ready for such an undertaking. I assume Asgardia will announce when it is ready to begin taking business proposals. In the mean time, there is a ...

This is a bad idea because it places too much power in private hands and that's one of the reasons why. The nations of Earth have so many problems too many private entities wield far too much power. Instead the founder should start multiple business and appoint qualified Asgardian citizens ...

I think we desperately need some sort of space and/or "light language" in order for crew members to communicate among themselves despite the Earth language| differences. Should we develop one? If so, what should it be?

Pyash is a software language based on human grammar and vocabulary.

Lojban is not meant to be an international language, it is not based on human grammar, so it is very difficult for a human to learn.

Esperanto was meant to be an international ...

Expecting everyone to learn English is unintentionally arrogant. A lot of Chinese and Arabic people will be joining us, and why should they put all that effort into learning our language while we sit on our butts? English also has it's flaws, and I'm all for us chipping ...

This could be the solution we need when it comes to getting a lot of power very quickly. A lot of colleges and universities, tech firms, corporations and so on are installing solar panels as windows or even bodies of their structures, which allows near unlimited energy. If we are ...

@EyeR : The main topic on solar panels was more in regard of earth structures than space ones. Since it was more said ''buildings'' and brang the point of windows, it should more be thought about on the ground. Of course, in space, it would be a necessity to have ...

I'm not saying they have no uses - just be mindful of what they can't do as much as what they can. Improvements in technology are certainly the order of the day - specifically those that increase both the lifespan and efficiencies of the panel.
Jun 13, 17 / Can 24, 01 09:26 UTC
I think photovoltaic panels should be a part of any design but - at present - they can only be supplemental as the current technology is inefficient. The ROI isn't that strong when the actual energy yield is considered. Any energy approach will, as already been detailed in a previous ...
