I would like to start out by saying... awesome innitative.
I am eager to find out how far we can go.

It will be a lot of work and red tape, but if we stay focussed and "Dont Panic" .. we'll get there!

Space Station 3D Printer Builds Ratchet Wrench To Complete First Phase Of Operations

The ratchet wrench was designed by Noah Paul-Gin, an engineer at Made In Space Inc., a northern California company that NASA contracted to design, build and operate the printer. Paul-Gin created a 3-D model of the ratchet and made several wrenches, such as the one shown ...

This is a question I'd like to ask people recently. So far the most common answer is, never ever believe in Santa🙈

Your post was hard to read. Let me see if I am understanding you. You are proposing we add the following ministries:

Howdy, I'd like to propose that the first objective should be a moonbase. Seems to me like the logical starting point for a space civilisation. Close to the Homebase of Earth but out of the worst of the gravity well and with potential resources available. It's critical for Asgardia to ...
Jun 13, 17 / Can 24, 01 09:26 UTC
It is sure. The gravity of the moon will provide unlimited opportinities for advances in hi-tech industry, nanotechnology, and the manufacturing processes of microelectronics and nano-scale integrated circuits in addition to nanorobotics industry with very high efficiency and optimal performance.
Jun 13, 17 / Can 24, 01 09:26 UTC
I am more into focusing the industry part. Industrialization for survival is very essential for a space nation. And for the information, I strictly am against Military based industry as it would propel something that is already with in almost every nation on earth. Using approved standards, its is very ...

Great question, in my opinion the moon would be a good place for the generation of energy from radioactive isotopes (nuclear power plants) also for the construction of robots used in space mining. regards.

Folks, I flicked through a few posts in here. I think we need to have a better think about what we're discussing before discussing it! Let's imagine Asgardia is a space nation we build with our own hands. Let's imagine we build stations in asteroids, moons and in hard vaccuum. ...

I want to make something clear, there is a difference between a refugee and a immigrant. We are all immigrants to Asgradia and we should never forget that. Immigrants is what helpped make Asgradia slowly become a nation and we should never forget that for all of Asgradias history. Immigrants ...

Asgardia can provide a cyber presence in space. Imagine launching a web server with a 1,000 terabyte harddisk. We can start our own cryptocurrency. The money that is generated by those activities can be poured into getting our own first space habitat.
Jun 13, 17 / Can 24, 01 09:26 UTC
Immigration to what? This is a very appropriate statement. At this point in time and into the foreseeable future we will be a nation only. This is plain and simple. We cannot be classed as immigrants nor can we accept immigrants as Asgardia has no territory of its own to ...

Folks, Would love to get your thoughts on two Robert Heinlein Books I (re)read recently. A short disclaimer: I don't necessarily support any of the ideas proposed in the books, but found them deeply thought provoking especially in the context of the 2016 political climate and with the concept of ...

I think the interest in both works and in sci if in general is coming up with an idea of how the future might work and testing it out in a way. Because it's fiction the author can generate a contrived universe where they can test th ideas. For example ...

Yet it is possible to take a set of rationalized principles, and then to distill them into a fictional story in order to demonstrate how one believes ones philosophy pertains to the real world. I would agree that to treat the fiction as anything other than an argument made poetically ...

I love both these books, but they're just fiction. It's easy to make political statements like both books make when you control everything in that universe. You can always manipulate plot lines to have your hero/heroine come out in the end. However, too many people take both of these books ...

Should there be plans on sustainability and should it have its own section? I might have missed it for now, but I did not see a section for sustainability. I do believe that this is a topic that should be discussed here. Since we have a network of people from ...

+1 I also think population growth should be closely considered when it comes to sustainability as for example in space population would need to be closely watched to make sure resources are not stretched too thin as happens on earth all too often.
