People may have ideas & plans right that you dont agree with but it can be change in the future with enough votes and changing of people needs and new technology...

I'm also an transhumanist and I do believe in those technology ( like the movie " Ghost in the shell " ) which I also believe also will aid us to last long enough to atleast step on the complete space station and far out travel amongst the stars

Guidelines for Asgardia defense

Defense Strategist

Thisis a basic guide for setting up Asgagrdia's Protection needs. Even though We are just at the beginning we as a nation have to start thinking of our nation's future.

First thing that has to be considered is number of trained personal that will be needed to begin with .

The first Item is Head of Nation and  embassy Defense .

These will have to be trained individuals, which could take up to six months for the first detachment. Made up of    Twenty-four personal, broken down in teams of eight. Eight hours on sixteen off ,for sleep ,recreation, and additional training.  Deployment will be one year for the first detachment at which time training needs to be started for replacements .Since all citizens who are not in governmental duty, will rotate through the Defense Force.

Training should be in the areas of combat arms and tactical defense and extraction of embassy staff in case of an emergency.

Next is combat medical training in order to treat and save any wounded till they can get to a safe hospital area, whether or not it's Asgardian or host country .

Next area of training must be in PublicAffairs/Relations. Asgardian Personal should always present Them self's ascultured and polite , but not superior to others .

Other areas of training will have to be in cyber security in order to stop intrusion of Asgardia's secure communications and files ,we don't want a wikies leaks..

In order to conduct training ,The government of Asgardia will have to set up a facility that will have to cover at least ten square miles

One way to do this is to buy or rent areas of a friendly nations bases .This is something that many earth nations have done , mostly from the United States. Training can be done by host nation.

The next area of concern is Pilot Training, from helicopters, UAVs/RCAVs  to embassy jets .

This would be the first faze to later be followed by Space flight training.

For this we will need ten permanent personal to start ,since pilots take the most to train. As Asgardia expands the needs of the fledgling fleet will change as we grow .

As will the needs of the Defense Force as we add more Embassy's ,and as we expand into space and beyond the earth'sorbit.

Hello Fellow Asgardians My name is Ricky Sickles. And I'm asking for your vote for Strategist. I'v spent most of my life in protection of the US. And now I would like to do the same for my new nation. I have experience in Defense, Public Relations, Field Medic(both Air-force and Army), Project management, and Contract Negotiations in Iraq. These are skills that will be valuable in dealing with our neighbors here on Earth and in space .One has to know how the people your dealing with think and what motivates them in order to get the results that are best for Asgardia

A good Strategist knows that in order to archive a goal They have to put together a team ,that can work on the different areas of a project in order to make it work

The Strategists job is to make sure that his team or teams don't lose sight of what their working toward.

Also as a leader a strategist has to be able to listen to others, and admit if their wrong.

But most importantly ,a Strategist must give credit where it is due because no one person can do it alone

I want to see Asgardia succeed not just for us new citizens but also for our Descendants and their future well being

Part two of campaign Message

In just the passed couple of weeks . The US government has finalized The creation of it's newest Armed Service Branch since the mid 1940s. The US Space Corps ,an off shoot of the Air Force. With this the first of a number of such services to be formed by the technically advanced country's of Earth. We of Asgardia Must take our safety and defense seriously or our new Nation won't last longer then the first missile sent our way with out a defensive force of our own. as much as I'd like to see Asgardia remain demilitarized ,this will not happen.

Asgardia is unique in that we are a door way into space not only for our own citizens   ,but also for corporations and  nations without the means to launch their own rockets or train their own astronauts.

With the USAs creation of this planets first Space Force. Many of the technically advanced nations of the earth well follow suit. By saying that's it's for it's own protection from space threats such as asteroids'. Some will use the excuse that it to fight terrorism or to protect themselves from attacks from other nations. but lastly Aliens will be the reason for such foully.

In realty it's about control  of the earth and its people.

Yes we will need a security force as stated in my last Blog. not just for protection of Asgardia .

But more importantly our freedom.

Our Freedom To Exist, Our Freedom to Evolve and Spread out to the Stars. Not to be held back by  jealousy because the individual country's of earth couldn't work for any thing coming close to what we have achieved .

Not as one country, but as many peoples of many countries to create a new Nation This is why I'm campaigning for Security Strategist. So I'm asking for your vote

EVEN IF SOME DON'T LIKE THE IDEA WE WILL NEED PIOLTS . NOT ONLY WILL THEY BE TRAINED IN 4D COMBAT, THEY WILL AS BE RESCUE PIOLTS .

WE WILL ALSO NEED FOOT TROOPS WHICH WILL BE FILLED BY MOST ASGARDIANS IF NEEDED SO ANYONE WHO IS A CITIZEN SHOULD RECIEVE TRAINING IN BASIC  HAND TO HAND COMBAT ,SHOOTING ,AND BUDDYCARE FOR THE WOUNDED TILL THEY CAN BE SEEN BY MEDICAL PERSONAL .DURING THE TIME OF NO CONFLICTS ( HOPEFLLY NO CONFLICTS AT ALL).

ASGARDIA WILL NEED A STATION AND EMBASSEY FORCE. THE STATION SECURITY FORCE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO BE MORE THE TWO OFFICERS PER 165 CITIZENS  HEADED UP BY THE STATION COMMANDER AND HIS XO . BECAUSE BEING ON A ORBITAL LIVING SPACE PLATFORM IS THE SAME AS LIVEING ON A SHIP , MUCH OF THE NEED FOR THIS FORCE WILL BE LIMITED TILL THE STATION REACHES THE SIZE OF A CURRENT DAY DESTROER  IN CREW SIZE WHICH IS ABOUT 3 TO 4 HUNDERED PEOPLE.

AS FAR AS EMBASSEY FORCES THIS SHOULD BE DETERMINED BY EMBASSEY SIZE ,STAFF ,AND LOCATION.

Many of use received a letter in our E-mail That if we had nominated our self for more then one office we were to correct that and only run for one . well now I can't renominate my-self .Which is a bug in the system. I contacted Elections with what info i could in order to help them fix this problem ,which has affected many of us . I do have a suggestion next time a candidate nominates their self's for a position then They shouldn't be able to click on any other postion which will cause them to have multiple candidate-ices . even thou when The process was first put out it sounded like you could do so I believe this was more an translation errror then anything .A few of my friends have also had this issue . I'm sure they'll have it fixed soon'

Let me start off by saying I am none too thrilled about how the current Constitution vote is being handled. Like many of our fellow Asgardians on the Constitution thread, I feel the manner in which this vote is being conducted leaves much to be desired. Besides my initial peeves at spelling mistakes and grammatical errors, I found that the ease with which people could participate in the creation/review of the constitution was lacking. The interface that asgardia.space presented, as well as the manner in which they worded the initial email regarding the vote, put an emphasis on ratifying the Constitution then getting on with your day. I feel that this is not only shady in the short run, but also detrimental in the long run for our new space nation. My post here is to cover how we can avoid these detrimental effects, and perhaps how we can reorganize our constitutional efforts in the near future.

The primary issue is the vote's form of affirmation: "I accept the Constitution" and... nothing else. While I understand that the Constitution is not currently in effect, I find it incredibly odd that the ratification of the Constitution in no way follows the voting procedures outlined therein. A simple yes/no option would be much more enlightening, as the current form doesn't even allow submission if you don't approve of the Constitution as-is. This makes it impossible to differentiate between those who don't approve of the constitution and those who simply did not vote. Diagnosing any issues if there is not a majority of approvals then becomes a major issue, other than a large amount of people dissenting the proposed Constitution. We can solve these, and many other democratic problems, by expecting more from our nation.

In general, we should not expect a well-educated citizen to look upon the title of a document, or even a short summary, then expect them to vote on it. This is especially true of our Constitution, and therefore we should not even provide that as an option. I propose that in order to vote on this issue, and perhaps others, that we citizens must read the document at hand. This may be out of hand for longer documents we may encounter in the future, but even a fleeting scroll-through requirement will improve the exposure of these proposals and procedures to the populous. In the world today, we have lawmakers that do not even read through documents they vote on or talk about, and I believe there is a way that at least we can fix it before it becomes a larger issue.

Open communication and contribution is also an important issue in regards to sweeping legislation and the laws of the land. A representative assembly can certainly manage this issue with more ease than the almost quarter of a million Asgardians throughout the world, but we at least need to figure out how to address these concerns. While these forums and other third-party sites exist to host this sort of discourse, there are more open and impactful ways to help the average Asgardian engage in this very important debate. Engaging every citizen should be a primary goal in a democratic society.

Overall I feel that, with more input from the community, this constitutional roll out could be going a lot smoother and fairer. We need to implement easier access to debate and discourse, incentivize Asgardians to educate themselves about issues that will effect them, and involve the citizenry in these reveals and reviews for the future of our nation.

From all new things can spring forth unintended consequences. With a concept as new and radical as our Asgardia, a multitude of futures is possible, some fantastic and some frightening. We must be diligent now to protect our nation and ensure it remains true to her destiny.

Asgardia is in her most vulnerable stages now, in her infancy, where the framework that makes her she is can potentially be twisted or corrupted. We must band together now to keep Asgardia pure and true. All throughout human history, nations have been plagued with strife. We will not allow the squabbles of Earth to reach space.

Asgardia is too precious a thing, in what she represents, to allow her to be threatened. We at last have a way to peacefully reach into the heavens and exist among the stars, as none before us ever has. We must use every tool and utilize every tactic, peacefully and responsibly, at our disposal to keep Asgardia true.

Asgardia is above the politics and petty differences that plague every Earthly nation. We are like no other country that has ever existed and it is with this uniqueness that we can hope to build something that has never before existed: a peaceful state that holds tolerance and logic as its innermost core principles.

With the light of science and the very human drive to expand and explore every possible horizon, we can achieve that which has never been done before. The troubles of the Earth must stay with the Earth. We must strive, now, to refuse the problems of the past to prevail into our future.

We strive to forge a society on the other side of the sky, and to show by example what the light of logic and the path of passion can achieve when every person is valued as the treasure they are. In Asgardia, every individual, regardless of his or her past is an immeasurable resource of limitless worth and potential. We have a populace more diverse than any other nation in the world.

Language and race and terrestrial borders mean nothing to Asgardians, as we have already transcended these bonds. I want to do everything I can to keep Asgardia as it is and is intended to be, no matter the amount of effort needed or the prices to be paid.

We must band together in Unity to ensure we keep our Asgardia true to her purpose. We must not allow Terra's mistakes to spread to space. By knowing where we come from, we can better know where we are going. Please help me help make this a continued reality.

We all have a part to play in the grand scheme of things. How large or small that part is depends on each of us, and the choices me make on the road called life.

There is currently just under 180.000 people registered as citizens, Last I read or saw is that we need 100.000 votes to pass Dou and Constitution . Know I read that only half need to vote .So if we need 100,000 to pass that means around 79000 or so don't need to vote.If its the other way just over 85000 don;t need to vote .So which is it

Hello all Asgardians from Ricky S Sickles Disabled Veteran and Asgardian Citizen

This is a  new matter of concern for all Asgardians

What about people who are disabled and receive SSD or VA benefits or there equivalent for their current nation of residents .Because having due citizenship may or may

not cause them to lose their benefit. Will Asgardia be able to adequately support these individuals at heir current standard of living If need be. Here in the US disabled vets don't pay an income tax ,but if a person has SSD it can be taxed .but a person can only have a job that only makes 840 a month .many folks on this can work and would more but the government say no .

I Posted two Items today and it seems that just because a certain admin didn't like them He shut them down .They weren't criticial of Asgardia ,but were crticial of the posts subject matter, which could effect us in the future . I believe Admins need to be a little more open to what we have to say Asgardias Constituion does gaurantee freedom of speech as long as it's not against  another citizen correct ?
