This election is very important .Because who we elect now will set theframe work for many years to come

I was asked if I was going to run for Parliament .I had to think thisover .Would I be one of the many who stood by while others did thework of constituting a first of it kind government . Or would I beone of the few who did work to constitute this new government and help set or fledgling nation on a strait course

There are many issues and problems to be hammered out in order for Asgardiato survive past it's first year .I don't run for myself ,but for all Asgardians and for our descendants.

I'm not running to be popular. I'm doing this because I believe in Asgardia and its' people

My platform is one of Defense ,Education ,and Nutrition.

I'll start with my last first Nutrition . Nutrition is very important to a healthy and strong nation. And all Asgardians should have access tofood the will keep us and our children strong.

One way is to keep GMOs out of our food chain as much as possible while still here on earth. One way to do this is to set up gardens and where we can farms that grow non-GMO heirloom vegetables and fruits. These Gardens can also sublimit our economy through trade, locally and internationally. Part of the money made from trade(10%) goes to the government and can be used for research into better growing technics on earth and space aquaculture and aquiculture .The rest of the income goes to the farmers as ether Solar's or in their native currencies or both

My next is Education

A poorly educated people is a conquered people , Education for all Asgardians must be freely accessible from kindergarten to university. It has been shown that children even in kindergarten can learn on a Second grade level .Many of the smartest people came from such learning systems in the 1800s and early 1900s .If possible ,where there are larger concentrations of our citizens we should have our own schools , and where they are more spread out, have online schooling .And all schools should surpass local standards and be accredited all the way to doctorate level .These are items to be worked out by the appointed education minister . I suggest basing our schools on the UN international school system .Asgardians would have free access while any none Asgardians would pay a fee to be used to pay teachers and improve our system of learning

Lastly Defense

This  encompasses many areas ,from Physical to Cyber . And should not betaken lightly. Even though we may not have a Active defense force onearth .We will still need to have volunteers' to train as first responders . This will be an important role for Asgardians as w ebuild and establish our reputation as a space nation. This training should  follow closely the Chinese and American model of giving aid and self defense. Cyber Defense is also very important to our nations safety, due to the sensitive nature of some information which must be kept digitally. Such as citizen IDs , banking system, research ect...

Other aspects of defense are training in Unmanned systems which can also generate income through crop and ocean analysis, UAVs can also be used in search and rescue operations .

To begin with a bit about myself: I am a 33 year old IT professional who specializes in lateral thinking and multi-disciplinary problem solving. I am both a writer and game designer in my spare time and have interests in philosophy, economics, political theory, particle physics, astrophysics, and transhumanism. Politically I am a Utopian anarchosyndaclist, however I am also a pragmatist and as such support the constitutionally proposed structure of Asgardian government.

As a member of government I will work diligently for the betterment of Asgardia and to promote well reasoned decisions and assist Parliament in arriving at rational decisions and always seek to execute the objectives of my ministry as efficiently as possible. I would do these things using a few guiding principles.

1. Research, expertise, and accuracy: In any effort, before making a recommendation, I will always research all sides of an issue. Reviewing cost and benefit, not just of the options presented but also the opportunity costs of not taking these actions. In pursuit of this information I will review all recent and relevant historical literature on the subject and reach out to experts on the subject for comment. In the case of referencing conflicting viewpoints I will always be sure to present an accurate representation of what the consensus within the field is as well as how well sourced arguments are regardless of consensus.
2. Least Harm: In any execution or recommendation I will always favor the course of least harm and when harm is necessary I will aim for the lowest severity harm. So if an action would negatively one individual severely or several individuals in a minor way, I will favor the option that only creates a minor harm. I define harm to take into consideration physical, psychological, social, economic, environmental, and prospective. Further I take into consideration not just people but other living things that we share space with. Further, this applies to all peoples, Asgardians or not.
3. Best argument: I will always seek to find the best form of argument against my positions and analyze my position based on that argument, not necessarily the one presented to me by those that disagree with me. If our goal is to better all earthlings, we must rise past simply "winning the day" and getting legislation passed or a program enacted because we defeated the arguments of our opponents while missing externalities we failed to account for. We must focus on what is best for all of us in the long term as well as the near.
4. Multi-disciplinary Assessment: Too often, unforseen consequences of government programs and legislation create problems that either didn't exist before or exacerbate ones that were only minor before and usually in areas unrelated to the core aim of the legislation or program. I always endeavor to address all issues, not just with an eye for the subject at hand from the perspective of experts in the field but also viewing the problem from different perspectives and fields of study to make sure we capture all aspects of a given issue.

It would be my pleasure to serve Asgardia, and though I am inelligible to do so in Parliament I look forward to committing to work diligiently for you all in Government. Thank you for considering me as your candidate for Government.

Hello, I'm John, and pleased to meet you. Here's a little bit about me ...

I'm a columnist for Forbes and Inc. Magazine, and I forecast and analyze tech trends for a Seattle-based tech company, TUNE. I'm also an advisor for the IoT-focused Read Write Labs in San Francisco.

I built the VB Insight research team at VentureBeat and have managed teams creating software for partners like Intel and Disney.

In addition, I've led technical teams, built websites and mobile apps, and consulted on mobile, social, and internet of things.

I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada, where I coach baseball and hockey.

In order to be able to move forward, we have to be able to look, not to the short term goals, though those are important, but to the long term.  That is where people like me come in.  While I acknowledge the short term things we need to do, and are getting done, you also have to take a longer view on Asgardia.

We're not doing this to have Asgardia last a few months, or even a year or two, before moving on.  We're doing this to see that Asgardia lives on long after we’re gone.  While we benefit in some part from this endeavor, it is our descendants who will see Asgardia's true potential and know it in a way that, right now, we can only dream of.  And it is for their dream, the dream of those not yet born, that I do this.

There are too many that take the view of "How can this benefit me now?" But that question isn't what I ask.  I ask, instead, what can I do to ensure the future for all Asgardians?  That is the beauty of what we are building here.  We are building for the future.

That is why I am running for an office within this beautiful nation.  Because, win or lose, even if I am not voted into any offices, I intend to put my skills into this space nation.  Because I love Asgardia.  In a world where so much is happening and people seem hell-bent on trying to crush others' hopes and dreams, Asgardia reminds us that there are always more out there.

But you're probably asking, ok so she loves Asgardia, but what can she do FOR Asgardia?  And for its citizens as a leader?  That's a very good question.  I've had many occasions to speak publicly from poetry meetings to educational presentations.  I'm also skilled in public relations due to both training in college and practical experience.  I've lead many teams over the years on research projects.  Now while most of these have been in the SCA - Society for Creative Anachronism, which is a medieval recreationist group, I have gotten together smaller groups when I was in college for research for the podcast *TC Weekly* which is the podcast for Northeast Wisconsin Technical College's Digital Media students.

I've also experience, unfortunately, in politics.  During my last semester at the college, I interned for the local political groups.  My duties included video work, brochures, setting up forums for debates and even had the pleasure of meeting the then-president Obama when he gave a speech in Green Bay, Wisconsin back in 2012.  Due to this experience, I'm able to assist the sometimes very difficult, and sometimes treacherous, terrain that is politics in general.  While Asgardia is built upon forwarding scientific discovery and advancement of humans into space primarily, unfortunately politics is also a murky field that will have to be crossed sooner or later.

I know that's not something anyone wants to hear, but there is also one thing about me that people should know.  I am kind, but I also dislike being dishonest.  I've always found that being open and honest is the easiest means to earning, and maintaining, someone's respect.  I was raised with the motto "A Promise Made is a Promise Kept".   That means I also won't make any promises unless I mean to keep them.  Which, of course, goes without saying I don't make promises very often.  In this field, you can't guarantee you can keep them.  But I can promise this.  No matter what I do, or where I'm needed, I'll try my hardest to make Asgardia proud.

I am a 34 year old marketing professional, also with over 17 years in diplomacy working with various civil society arms of the United Nations. I bring quite a wealth of experience in both Marketing, and foreign Policy, as well as in Negotiations and Policy writing.

I have a keen interest in working with the Ministry of  Foreign Affairs, it is my belief that my hybrid experience  in International Relations and Marketing and Public Relations will be ideal for ensuring our success in gaining the correct connections between Earth Nations and International Bodies that will be needed for our nation's success.

My promise; either as an elected official, or government employee working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is to ensure that our nation has its rightful place among the over 200 nations of Earth, and that we lead by example with our new home. Each one of us has realised the tribulations and unfairness to Earth's social systems, and have taken this first step to decide our own path towards what we think is right for humanity as whole. This leap of faith and trust in each member and citizen of Asgardia will continue to evolve our new nation into a state free of prejudice, corruption and deceit, qualities all too familiar with the governments of our respective countries. Implementing leadership is one of the most crucial and important components of forming the new Asgardian government. My name is Chris and I am campaigning for a seat in Parliament. I would like to say "I will get things done" or "trust in me always" but the truth is, we barely know each other. Instead, I would like to extend my hand and ask for a chance to show you my leadership skills. My interests are in Citizenship and Justice. I will work towards finalizing an official citizenship process as well as coordinating Asgardian systems (I have an extensive background in I.T.) so all authentication and finance procedures occur through one area. In other words, our Asgardian ID cards will be used for everything from purchasing milk, to opening doors, to authorizing legal documents. Lastly, on my immediate agenda is getting physical official passports and documents out to all citizens. Asgardia has a huge legal hurdle with the United Nations but I have no doubts, this will have a very positive result. Fellow Asgardians,

One of my favorite things about traveling is meeting people who are not like me, and learning from them about their culture, languages, history, and of course, cuisine. Thanks to the internet, we don't need to physically go to another place to be exposed to some of the people and ideas that differ from our own. The diversity around the globe helps makes our homeworld beautiful, so let's bring this beauty to Asgardia and preserve it.

I do not have experience as a politician, and the only office positions I have held were in school clubs, like the student council and the National Technical Honor Society. My background is actually in Computer Science. I graduated early from an accelerated program, so despite looking like I should still be in school, I've been working in the field for a few years now. So in addition to promoting unity and open-mindedness, as one of the leaders of this nation, I also want to promote science and technology.

As you can probably tell from what I've stated so far, my interests include computers/mathematics and travel. I have been to 10 countries so far and I hope to visit many more. Outside of that, I am also passionate about astronomy/astrophysics, photography, and music. I play piano, flute, and guitar, but I hope to add a few more instruments to the list eventually.

I will use everything I have learned from my experiences and will continue learning to help guide Asgardia in the right direction.

I am currently pursing my Bachelor Degree in Biology. I hope of one day being able to enter the medical field or do scientific research that will advance our current technologies. I see Asgardia as an opportunity of a lifetime to join and create history. I want to be able to contribute to the society of the future and innovate an amazing platform that has been given birth to by Dr. Igor. It is a very interesting moment in time and the odds are stacked against our nation because it is the beginning of an expanding nation. We need to work together and build a strong foundation. It will allow us to build this nation within our lifetime and doing so change the path of humanity. I am from the Philadelphia area and would love to be able to organize meetings for big discussions or even celebrating our holidays. I have past experience with organizing events and working with youth and adults through workshops. I would also like to take this time to welcome any new Asgardians to the community.

It is understandable that there may be some confusion. You may ask what is this and why was it created. To sum it up in short Dr. Igor Ashurbeyli, has funded this project with his own money in the belief that it will be able to flourish into a new nation. One that can eliminate the boundaries that we see in day to day life. To bring unity and safety to earth. These terms may seem a bit SCI-FI I admit, however just as the founding fathers of America signed a simple piece of paper "The Consitution" and built a great nation. Dr. Igor is doing the same in hopes of equality and unity for future space travel. The idea may seem trivial to some, but as Asgardia progresses stage by stage, it will become much more real then you can believe. We must be the ones to build the path for the future.

This whole election process is indeed a bit confusing but regardless I want to try to be apart of the community anyway I can be. My name is Earl Thomas I am a spiritual seeker and a strong believer in knowledge. I am applying to be apart of the strategist position. I know I can do great things for this nation and my fellow Asgardians.

My main goal is to listen to the Asgardian community and get everyone's view points across to Asgardias Staff team and the Head of Nation. I feel like we aren't being updated enough on Asgardia current state in development and I would like to change that.

My other goals insist of.

Consulting the Asgardia Staff Team and HoN of having a job system for all willing and active Asgardians to take part in. So we can start filling out the much needed positions for all the ministries and government positions.

Working to gain sponsors and support for Asgardia's future and development. Asgardia will need help and allies we can trust.

But also if you believe in it or not, we can discuss ways as a future space nation to make contact with other advanced civilizations.
