Adrenals and weight gain?

Hi there.

I have figured out, after many years, that the reason I can't lose weight is because I have high night time cortisol. I haven't slept well in years.

My primary aim here is to restore my cortisol levels back to what they should be at the right times and I'm looking for supplementation to help with this.

I already have Ashwaganda.. It's certainly calming. I also have tea from Gynostema root which is very powerful.

But sometimes, no matter what, I just can't get to sleep and realize that it's probably due to whoppingly high cortisol levels.

I understand there are Adrenal Support supplements out there to strenghten your adrenal glands. Would they be useful in this instance? Also, if anyone can suggest something which is renouned for being useful for this kind of problem could you suggest any?

Thanks

Consult a professional in person.

There's too lityle info here but you're better off doing this with a professional in person. For all i know you could have an underlying or unspoken issue, just off the top of my head for example, an anxiety disorder or increased anxiety. Just an example or some other psychological/phsyiological/psycophysiological cause.

Plus im also a strong advocate of consulting a professional in person as opposed to the internet.

That is my .02

Obviously it is up to you.

I'm truly thankful that you two have managed to steer this off course without actually answering the question. You will probably get points for this! And that's the most important thing ;)

My first time on this forum and I'm quickly understanding what it's really about!

Hi Tomadom,

I have posted a link to this forum to the Asgardia General Official Facebook Page to see if we can get some people knowledgeable in the field to provide some responses for you.

How do you know your cortisol levels high at night? Is it your own diagnostic? Or measured in hospital as it needs to be monitored frequently during the day/night? If it's measured in hospital, what did they tell you? Did they find the cause? What is the diagnosis of specialist and what treatment they proposed? If it's your diagnostic, I suppose most probably, stop it! And stop using herbal stuff without expert advice. Doctors do not learn from Google! Go to a doctor or better to a medical clinic with multiple specialists. You may have something completely different wating for an immediate treatment.

On the other hand, what is the relation of such questions with Asgardia?
